The thing about not giving you enough respecs, or mats to upgrade your weapons, in a single player game, that you will pay full price once, is beyond reason like these guys said. I would love to hear the thought process here from the devs, really. What is the point of re-rolling or replaying in order to try a different weapon in a single player game? How many times i find a new weapon in a souls game and say, oh this one looks cool to use, but I can't use it because i don't have the mats. Maybe thats why i love Sekiro so much, no upgrade mats, no stats, boom enjoy the game.
I totally agree with fightincowboy with people seem determined to hate this game. It doesnt help that the subreddit mods are banning people who defend the game and allow trolls there to slag it off and talk crap about it.
My issue is stuff like how the vigor dropped by enemies isn't picked up when they die like in every other game with a souls mechanic instead you have to run over it to pick it up which I know it's a nitpick but it's still a weird design choice as well as an invasive inconvenience
And the “suck” on the lantern has a pretty big range too. It’s another of those obscure things I guess (even though the game tells you about it, it doesn’t click because you’re learning 30 other mechanics in the tutorial at once)
@@bartoszmisztal6861 I think that's my biggest gripe with the game so far: it should've spread out the lantern mechanics more so as to not kill the pacing with a tutorial prompt showing up every twenty seconds
for me its how you have to kill the thing that killed you to get your souls to drop unless its a boss. also the animation to grab your souls back seems quite long for my liking
The reason I might get something on a console right now that's also on PC is because I want a physical copy. Can't get that on PC anymore....So I'll get on console, wait for a big sale on PC
Honestly the game has been a blast. Definitely some crashes in multi player, plus lag, and some optimization stuff is needed. But the core game is fun and keeps me entertained.

I’ve notice tons of ppl have been irrationally hating on this game as well. I’ve been more excited about it than any game since Elden Ring and so far it’s completely lived up to all my expectations. Graphics on PS5 are decent in performance mode with chugging at points in big open areas.
I have picked up the game last month and have been enjoying it a lot! I don’t see what to complain about? The feel of the game, umbral and combat all are smooth experience! Don’t get the hate the game is getting. Outside of Elden Ring, it’s the best souls like there is. IMO (Maybe Nioh 2 is there or better)
I love lords 2 I think it’s really good the combat is nice lots of customization options and level design I’m on my 2nd play through still having a blast. And cowboys walkthrough is great it’s helped me on side quest
I been thoroughly enjoying lords of the fallen, I got lost so many times trying to figure out where I gotta go. I had to watch cowboy's walkthrough to figure out where to go.
If the rolling feels that extreme, they could just give you more control with the roles. Instead of rolling in a straight line, allow us to direct the role more for the last half of the animation. Allow me to push in the opposite direction to prevent falling off a cliff, or change direction.

I personally prefer Consoles because of convenience, but I acknowledge that PC is way better, its not even close. Of course a quality PC is going to cost more than a Console, but you get what you pay for. PC also offers mods, which greatly extend the experience of a game. So as a fan of Consoles, I will easily admit that PC offers better experience. As for this game, I tried telling people to keep an eye on it. Never said it was going to be great, only that it looked promising. I even mentioned it in one of Cowboy's streams & he kinda dismissed it, but it wasn't a put-down of the game, he just didn't want to get any hopes up, which we've all been there (getting hopes up for a game only to be disappointed)...so its understandable. But he did keep an eye out & gave it a fair shake, which I appreciate. And all of his complaints of the game (while liking the game) are totally legitimate. And I trust his judgement on a game of this type more than most.
I'm too lazy to troubleshoot PC problems. If that weren't the case, I'd build a rig and love the quality of game play, graphics, and frame rates without question. I love the convenience of my PS5 far, far more, though.

I'm glad it doesn't progress both, I'd rather play my own world it's always been like that, I'm also kind of glad there's no level matching because I hated having to stay in certain level ranges in each area to find people for those areas, it's also possible to stop invasions with the mirrors so it's not that bad, I haven't been invaded often tho maybe like 2 times my first playthrough and a few more playing with my friend, if it rlly isn't balanced enough I could see them needing 2 nerf the invader a bit more but as long as they cut it down the right way, levels shouldnt matter which is a good thing, all they rlly need is to get connection to be smooth and consistent
I don't think it's just more time that would help it, I think the feedback is such an important part, the time without the feedback would not be as useful then releasing and patching from good feedback and metrics.
I feel like heavy armor is going to be really strong in this game. First of all you already dodge plenty with heavy armor, and secondly you really only need to parry anyways, so who cares about how much you roll.
Probably because dodging is almost a guarantee to escape damage in this game, whereas parrying seems fucking wonky to me. Like, the windows seem generous, but weirdly inconsistent, almost as if the parry doesn't initiate for a few milliseconds, so you kinda have to guess early, which is just a terrible way of playing out in the open, against new scenarios with limited healing. I'd also argue that parrying to merely stance break is not worth the reward. Borderline redundant in open play when 90% of enemies can be R1 spammed after dodging, and borderline not worth it against bosses, the damage from a riposte strike is awful.
Parrying is fucking atrocious in this game though. Like guy above says, you have to pre empt them. This whole bullshit of block doubling up as the the parry activation needs to stop. You should have to actively input the parry command like you would a dodge, and then you get a certain amount of frames to succeed, and the hitbox for the parry should be the moment of impact. As it stands it's like at least 10 frames before you're even physically hit. It's dumb
What are you talking about? The parrying in this game is really good. Way better than Dark souls or Elden ring. You just block last second instead of guessing the timing. In Elden ring you have to first react to the attack then read the timing of the attack but then also taking into account of the delay of your own parrying animation.@@phiavir5594
Unfortunately 95% of the Xbox reviews are saying the same thing about the performance. Crashing during cutscenes, fps drops during almost every encounter. Im just glad Lies of P was on game pass. Ill be waiting on this to go on sale. Looks great when its running on all cylinders though!
Every souls needs to learn not to be like wo long. Braindead easy, lowered challenge for game pass, less functionality because theres no more stances from Nioh.
They need to use a new engine for Wo Long I felt like I was playing a PS4 game. Wo long just got boring after 20 hours of play it just felt so repetitive.

Tbh when it comes to “floaty combat” I have felt that certain attack movesets feel floaty while others feel fine. With the deluxe dlc class (don’t even remember the name) the RT + RB combo is really solid (make sure to have the weapon two handed). Pressing RB repeatedly feels extremely floaty. To me it comes down to movesets, weight (for the roll), and stagger/affect you afflict on the mob

Most people who talk about console being better than PC aren't talking about power....They're stating FACTS, when a game releases on a console, your not dicking around for 20 minutes to figure out settings, download drivers, wait for new drivers etc. Nobody thinks that a console is more powerful than PC.... Some of us those are adults who have adult careers. We have adult careers we spend 12-15hrs a day doing actual work on a PC, so when we have free time and can actually play a game, just the thought of playing something on a PC sounds/feels like dealing with work and, there is zero desire to feel like your working in your free time. We don't care if a PC is more powerful than a PC, most aren't grafix whores who need everything to run at 68,000k and 300fps. Its about FUN and you can have just as much fun in 1080p/1440p/4k
I suppose. I switched to PC after Xbox one s. Loved it. There was a time I tried switching back to Xbox one s to play on my 1080p on Fortnite, my god I never realized how by the graphics where. There are a few times when u have to update Nvidia driver but that takes 5 mins and ur good to go. The reliability of some games on PC with mods is fantastic. Like I've replayed dark souls series a few times with overhaul mods that add new spells, weapons armor, mechanics, sometimes boss that have been cut from original etc. Waiting for archthrones and nightfall mods for ds1,3. Also on PC u don't have to wait for devs to fix games, the mod community will get on it have a fix out much sooner in some cases.
So hyped for this game i feel like the devs have proved they will continue to improve the game ...and it looks incredible.. hopefully the game feels good ... so far everyone whos played it has mixed opinions on the combat and movement so i dont know what to expect
I’m enjoying the game but the gankyness is starting to wear thin. I’ll have a fire cat lighting my on fire, an invisible poison ninja shooting arrows, vomit witches and spaz goblins tearing into to me all at the same time. And they just keep spawning. I did laugh when he said he uses the Umbral lamp to see, I do that too. The depths is dark and ganky.
Me and a buddy of mine have been having a blast in this game and I will say we’ve fought I believe to be a later game boss and beat first phase full street fighting boxer mode drop kicking and all its glory we also ended up running through the area drop kick yeeting enemies into their forever nap at the bottom of the abyss and everything 😂😂 loving the game!
Totally false. First off Cowboy is my favorite streamer and I've gotten so much from his walkthroughs. But he is flat out not telling the truth when it comes to him banning people. He banned me for saying "This game is a no for me dog" on one of his live streams, that's the only remotely negative comment I've ever made. I'm old enough to be Cowboys father, not some kid sitting in his parents basement and I can see how complainers can get on his nerves but small remarks about a game shouldn't get viewers and potential supporters banned. Back to the game. I've preordered as soon as I could and I'm sure it'll be a decent AA game. I can't wait to play it.

FC hates people not agreeing with him or correcting him. I remember awhile back in a Strangers of Paradise stream, he had these in game modifiers active but didn't pay attention to what one of them did, and when someone in the chat explained it, he told them to not talk when they don't know what the fuck they're talking about. Turns out that person was right, and then FC never acknowledged it or anything lol
$400 for my ps5 does everything. I need to play the game comfortably. It looks and runs better than the ps4, but for single-player games, I don't don't really care. My $900-$1000 PC I'll play rtsrpgs and other PC only. But for action games, I'm very casual and would lay back in my recliner with a controller.
I just started playing LOTF. I am almost done. I will say it’s still laggy/ glitchy on console and I have a new Xbox series x. But it’s not often. First big thing I noticed was the tap B side step, is so good maybe too good. It dodges damn near everything. I agree the lantern part of the game is great. If I have space to kill a guy by sucking out his soul or throwing them off a cliff, is so much fun.
Others have said it's not agility that boosts ammunition, but endurance and vitality. Which is it now? Some things improve no matter what stat you invest in, and it's just your level almost that increases things. Maybe for non-magic weapons it's strength, agility endurance, and vitality all do a little?
I do think that some of the weapons sound odd when they hit, and the movements seem a little strange compared to what I'm used to from Fromsoft releases. But that seems a pretty small problem for a game. Overall, we're now getting more games that are truly comparable to a souls-like experience and that's a good thing. Give me wonky sounds instead of a game that sounds great, but is filled with microtransactions and which isn't ready at launch!
Cowboy should do a walkthrough, but just leave it to a basic "Here's how you get from point A to point B and maybe get some cool stuff along the way." kind of dea.
The amount of enemies in the world feels like it is tuned for co-op. You are constantly getting overwhelmed. It is rare to fight a single enemy without 2-5 more popping out. It's pretty annoying. The bosses are easy. The world enemies suck
No just don't lock on and it makes it so much better. Once I stopped the lock on with big groups of enemies I started slaying it just felt so much better aswell.
Congrats on Lies o P Platinum. Rurikhan. Nameless puppet is hell on ng+. That boss is the only thing im missing to get the third ending and the platinum.

Normally I look up to both of your opinions and we are on the same page and liking the same things in games, but this time we don't agree. Lords of the fallen is a painfully unpolished game, needing probably 6 more months of polish. Plus it is full of ganks, way too many enemies and ranged snipers, making exploration tedious. It has a 50% on Steam and it certainly deserves that. For me it a 3.5, after we got that 8-9/10 Lies of P.
Really like both of them as content creators but you have to take their opinions w/ a big grain of salt because thats what they do review and play games a lot more than the average gamer so they're going to be a lot more forgiving of issues and/or deal breakers that most of us would normally have. If they had to buy the games and only play 20-30hrs per week they'd be a lot more critical.
My only gripe with this game is the performance rn when I join my friends game and I’m teleporting of the map and dying or can’t hit an enemy my sword is cutting right through
I think the combat is the weakest part and extremely floaty. Swing your weapon three times and see how many metres you moved. It's pretty awful. The rest is quite cool even though I don't like a single armour set but that's more of a personal preference. The lantern, though. Absolutely love it.
Combat felt pretty good to me. I wish there were more dual wielding movesets, but other than that, it's great. Your button presses actually matter. You can run out of stamina and then not be able to roll which to me is super important for these games. It's fast paced and fun.
@@TheOneGreatdid you ever run out of stamina in Elden Ring. I know I never did. Right from the start of the game it became obvious that stamina management was not important. You do cover alot of ground in Lords Ill give you that, but its not a deal breaker.

I got used to it, but I hope the sequel(?) tones that down. I don't understand why it's there in the first place.
I kind of prefer the way the co op is, where the helper doesn't get progress, at least for how I like to play. I get stronger from helping and now I get to pummel evening in my way because I'm 30 levels higher than I should be

I just did my first play threw and idk what people are talking about. Maybe cause a lot of issues have been fixed at time of me playing but I love this game. Elden ring I just cannot play because I have sooooo much lol 200 hours I’m done till dlc and lords of fallen, all souls , lies p, remnant 2, horizon, shoot I even liked Valhalla . People just need to get back to playing the games those are all great in my option Elden ring is just a masterpiece but second for me is lotf

Im lost right now in LOTF. The world and all is great but Lies of p's combat is far better en more crisp. Not even ipnfor debate. But this comes to show how goated the souls games are. That others just cant copy it to a T
To be fair to LotF, you only roll really far if you are not locked on or tap it twice. The sidestep which is the default dodge when locked on is fine to me.
Too many ranged enemies that hit like a truck. Keep in mind I have HEAVY armor, strength and VIT build. The visuals are starting to get boring as it's all grey. I'm in the cave/tunnels right now with fire mobs. The umbral was nice touch at the start but I'm tired of it now at this point. I have to swap just to pull a bridge or go up a ladder and the only change is there are MORE infinitely spawning mobs? No ty.... already too many to begin with. Every mob attack has tracking even around corners. I have melee jumps rocketing towards me doing L shape.... Then I have big fire blasts going through walls or curving around corners. Oh and how do you like fire columns appearing UNDER you instantly hitting and fire ball, and small area, all at once not knowing WTF is going on. That bridge fight was nightmare unless you learn to just bait specific attacks.
I honestly had thoguht this game was gonna be bad cause I never liked the 1st, but after seeing both their gameplay and actually seeing all the work the devs put i was actually like, okay damn im sorry ill try this 😂

The thing with console vs PC is that games are often being released in a better state for consoles than PC. I have both and I'm pretty tired of the state of a lot of PC releases.
If you have a mid tier PC the console is going to beat it out in performance and graphical fidelity but if you have a high end PC you are gonna get some really sick graphics that consoles just dont have access to. Cyberpunk 2077 with the new Path Tracing update looks so sick and is totally playable on a 4080 at 4k res. A console could never do that
The strat to get platinum that I think the devs thought out was to make you play the game with every class. Which isn’t what you typically do. I thought DS3 and Sekiro platinums were annoying. Platinum for LOTF seems super annoying. Edit: I just saw FCB update on the platinum. Great update from the Devs
@@FSVR54 just the grinding of that is annoying enough. Pop balloon. Kill the one guy and then rush in kill that guy and pray out. Over and over and over. I think with speed running at a high efficiency on NG3 it still takes like an hour.

I don't like how enemies movesets are so awkward and random in lies of P, which is why I'm enjoying Lords of the fallen more. Enemies are just more fun to fight, with better telegraphs and more intuitive movesets that look natural. That being said... Lords of the Fallen needs to chill with ranged enemies EVERYWHERE

If the rolling feels that extreme, they could just give you more control with the roles. Instead of rolling in a straight line, allow us to direct the role more for the last half of the animation. Allow me to push in the opposite direction to prevent falling off a cliff, or change direction.
Or give me an attack that doesn't drag me forward.

I personally prefer Consoles because of convenience, but I acknowledge that PC is way better, its not even close. Of course a quality PC is going to cost more than a Console, but you get what you pay for. PC also offers mods, which greatly extend the experience of a game. So as a fan of Consoles, I will easily admit that PC offers better experience. As for this game, I tried telling people to keep an eye on it. Never said it was going to be great, only that it looked promising. I even mentioned it in one of Cowboy's streams & he kinda dismissed it, but it wasn't a put-down of the game, he just didn't want to get any hopes up, which we've all been there (getting hopes up for a game only to be disappointed)...so its understandable. But he did keep an eye out & gave it a fair shake, which I appreciate. And all of his complaints of the game (while liking the game) are totally legitimate. And I trust his judgement on a game of this type more than most.
I'm too lazy to troubleshoot PC problems. If that weren't the case, I'd build a rig and love the quality of game play, graphics, and frame rates without question. I love the convenience of my PS5 far, far more, though.
Who cares if PC's are better with spec when games are not optimized well for it.
If a game needs mods then its a trash game.... This is a crutch all pc players use..... "Well i have mods and you dont" cool, i cant help that you think the game is so shit that it needs to be changed to be good to you..... Mods are an excuse..... And pc may be better, but there is a massive issue here that pc tards ignore all the time, when something goes wrong on console, restarting it fixes the problem 9 times of 10, on pc? If something goes wrong it could be one of a thousand things that went wrong..... Which is exactly why most people choose console over pc..... And pc players MASSIVELY ignore this fact..... Console is better only due to its ease of use......

I'm glad it doesn't progress both, I'd rather play my own world it's always been like that, I'm also kind of glad there's no level matching because I hated having to stay in certain level ranges in each area to find people for those areas, it's also possible to stop invasions with the mirrors so it's not that bad, I haven't been invaded often tho maybe like 2 times my first playthrough and a few more playing with my friend, if it rlly isn't balanced enough I could see them needing 2 nerf the invader a bit more but as long as they cut it down the right way, levels shouldnt matter which is a good thing, all they rlly need is to get connection to be smooth and consistent

I don't think it's just more time that would help it, I think the feedback is such an important part, the time without the feedback would not be as useful then releasing and patching from good feedback and metrics.

I feel like heavy armor is going to be really strong in this game. First of all you already dodge plenty with heavy armor, and secondly you really only need to parry anyways, so who cares about how much you roll.
Probably because dodging is almost a guarantee to escape damage in this game, whereas parrying seems fucking wonky to me. Like, the windows seem generous, but weirdly inconsistent, almost as if the parry doesn't initiate for a few milliseconds, so you kinda have to guess early, which is just a terrible way of playing out in the open, against new scenarios with limited healing.
I'd also argue that parrying to merely stance break is not worth the reward. Borderline redundant in open play when 90% of enemies can be R1 spammed after dodging, and borderline not worth it against bosses, the damage from a riposte strike is awful.
Parrying is fucking atrocious in this game though. Like guy above says, you have to pre empt them. This whole bullshit of block doubling up as the the parry activation needs to stop. You should have to actively input the parry command like you would a dodge, and then you get a certain amount of frames to succeed, and the hitbox for the parry should be the moment of impact. As it stands it's like at least 10 frames before you're even physically hit. It's dumb
Plus parrying still makes you suffer wither damage which I find asinine.@@phiavir5594
What are you talking about? The parrying in this game is really good. Way better than Dark souls or Elden ring. You just block last second instead of guessing the timing. In Elden ring you have to first react to the attack then read the timing of the attack but then also taking into account of the delay of your own parrying animation.@@phiavir5594

Unfortunately 95% of the Xbox reviews are saying the same thing about the performance. Crashing during cutscenes, fps drops during almost every encounter. Im just glad Lies of P was on game pass. Ill be waiting on this to go on sale. Looks great when its running on all cylinders though!

Every Soulslike just needs to learn from Wo Long. Unlimited respecs, you can just make load outs and try different things on bosses.
Every souls needs to learn not to be like wo long. Braindead easy, lowered challenge for game pass, less functionality because theres no more stances from Nioh.
They need to use a new engine for Wo Long I felt like I was playing a PS4 game. Wo long just got boring after 20 hours of play it just felt so repetitive.

Tbh when it comes to “floaty combat” I have felt that certain attack movesets feel floaty while others feel fine. With the deluxe dlc class (don’t even remember the name) the RT + RB combo is really solid (make sure to have the weapon two handed). Pressing RB repeatedly feels extremely floaty. To me it comes down to movesets, weight (for the roll), and stagger/affect you afflict on the mob

Price tag of a triple a game, design, development and mechanics that don’t play like one.
Most people who talk about console being better than PC aren't talking about power....They're stating FACTS, when a game releases on a console, your not dicking around for 20 minutes to figure out settings, download drivers, wait for new drivers etc. Nobody thinks that a console is more powerful than PC....
Some of us those are adults who have adult careers. We have adult careers we spend 12-15hrs a day doing actual work on a PC, so when we have free time and can actually play a game, just the thought of playing something on a PC sounds/feels like dealing with work and, there is zero desire to feel like your working in your free time. We don't care if a PC is more powerful than a PC, most aren't grafix whores who need everything to run at 68,000k and 300fps. Its about FUN and you can have just as much fun in 1080p/1440p/4k
I suppose. I switched to PC after Xbox one s. Loved it. There was a time I tried switching back to Xbox one s to play on my 1080p on Fortnite, my god I never realized how by the graphics where. There are a few times when u have to update Nvidia driver but that takes 5 mins and ur good to go. The reliability of some games on PC with mods is fantastic. Like I've replayed dark souls series a few times with overhaul mods that add new spells, weapons armor, mechanics, sometimes boss that have been cut from original etc. Waiting for archthrones and nightfall mods for ds1,3. Also on PC u don't have to wait for devs to fix games, the mod community will get on it have a fix out much sooner in some cases.
So hyped for this game i feel like the devs have proved they will continue to improve the game ...and it looks incredible..
hopefully the game feels good ... so far everyone whos played it has mixed opinions on the combat and movement so i dont know what to expect
I’m enjoying the game but the gankyness is starting to wear thin. I’ll have a fire cat lighting my on fire, an invisible poison ninja shooting arrows, vomit witches and spaz goblins tearing into to me all at the same time. And they just keep spawning. I did laugh when he said he uses the Umbral lamp to see, I do that too. The depths is dark and ganky.

Me and a buddy of mine have been having a blast in this game and I will say we’ve fought I believe to be a later game boss and beat first phase full street fighting boxer mode drop kicking and all its glory we also ended up running through the area drop kick yeeting enemies into their forever nap at the bottom of the abyss and everything 😂😂 loving the game!
Totally false. First off Cowboy is my favorite streamer and I've gotten so much from his walkthroughs. But he is flat out not telling the truth when it comes to him banning people. He banned me for saying "This game is a no for me dog" on one of his live streams, that's the only remotely negative comment I've ever made. I'm old enough to be Cowboys father, not some kid sitting in his parents basement and I can see how complainers can get on his nerves but small remarks about a game shouldn't get viewers and potential supporters banned.
Back to the game. I've preordered as soon as I could and I'm sure it'll be a decent AA game. I can't wait to play it.

FC hates people not agreeing with him or correcting him. I remember awhile back in a Strangers of Paradise stream, he had these in game modifiers active but didn't pay attention to what one of them did, and when someone in the chat explained it, he told them to not talk when they don't know what the fuck they're talking about. Turns out that person was right, and then FC never acknowledged it or anything lol

$400 for my ps5 does everything. I need to play the game comfortably. It looks and runs better than the ps4, but for single-player games, I don't don't really care. My $900-$1000 PC I'll play rtsrpgs and other PC only. But for action games, I'm very casual and would lay back in my recliner with a controller.
A walkthrough is going to be hard to do because most people will have to run through 😅

I just started playing LOTF. I am almost done. I will say it’s still laggy/ glitchy on console and I have a new Xbox series x. But it’s not often. First big thing I noticed was the tap B side step, is so good maybe too good. It dodges damn near everything. I agree the lantern part of the game is great. If I have space to kill a guy by sucking out his soul or throwing them off a cliff, is so much fun.
Others have said it's not agility that boosts ammunition, but endurance and vitality. Which is it now? Some things improve no matter what stat you invest in, and it's just your level almost that increases things. Maybe for non-magic weapons it's strength, agility endurance, and vitality all do a little?
It has changed multiple times in different pre-release versions. In the most recent build Vitality gives ammunition. Dont know if others ALSO give it.

I do think that some of the weapons sound odd when they hit, and the movements seem a little strange compared to what I'm used to from Fromsoft releases. But that seems a pretty small problem for a game. Overall, we're now getting more games that are truly comparable to a souls-like experience and that's a good thing. Give me wonky sounds instead of a game that sounds great, but is filled with microtransactions and which isn't ready at launch!
Cowboy should do a walkthrough, but just leave it to a basic "Here's how you get from point A to point B and maybe get some cool stuff along the way." kind of dea.
The amount of enemies in the world feels like it is tuned for co-op. You are constantly getting overwhelmed. It is rare to fight a single enemy without 2-5 more popping out. It's pretty annoying. The bosses are easy. The world enemies suck
No just don't lock on and it makes it so much better. Once I stopped the lock on with big groups of enemies I started slaying it just felt so much better aswell.
You can also buy respec and chunks from the two alters in the main hub

Normally I look up to both of your opinions and we are on the same page and liking the same things in games, but this time we don't agree.
Lords of the fallen is a painfully unpolished game, needing probably 6 more months of polish.
Plus it is full of ganks, way too many enemies and ranged snipers, making exploration tedious.
It has a 50% on Steam and it certainly deserves that. For me it a 3.5, after we got that 8-9/10 Lies of P.
Really like both of them as content creators but you have to take their opinions w/ a big grain of salt because thats what they do review and play games a lot more than the average gamer so they're going to be a lot more forgiving of issues and/or deal breakers that most of us would normally have. If they had to buy the games and only play 20-30hrs per week they'd be a lot more critical.

They nailed it perfectly when they said people just wanted to hate this game. Its such a great game. One of my all time favorites.
I think the combat is the weakest part and extremely floaty. Swing your weapon three times and see how many metres you moved. It's pretty awful. The rest is quite cool even though I don't like a single armour set but that's more of a personal preference. The lantern, though. Absolutely love it.
Combat felt pretty good to me. I wish there were more dual wielding movesets, but other than that, it's great. Your button presses actually matter. You can run out of stamina and then not be able to roll which to me is super important for these games. It's fast paced and fun.

@@TheOneGreatdid you ever run out of stamina in Elden Ring. I know I never did. Right from the start of the game it became obvious that stamina management was not important. You do cover alot of ground in Lords Ill give you that, but its not a deal breaker.
@@johnhuddleston1986 It's not stamina (and, yes, I absolutely ran out of it?). It's floating a couple of metres. And the 2nd area is scaffolding. Reminds me of playing Final Fantasy 7 Remake when playing Cloud where a single sword swing makes you cover a couple of metres so you're basically inside the enemy. I got used to it, but I hope the sequel(?) tones that down. I don't understand why it's there in the first place.
I kind of prefer the way the co op is, where the helper doesn't get progress, at least for how I like to play. I get stronger from helping and now I get to pummel evening in my way because I'm 30 levels higher than I should be
Its a tiny bit annoying when Cowboy will just interrupt Ruri and then go off on some unrelated tangent like around 1:25:00 mark whete Ruri is talking about pushing the game the game back to fix stuff because there aren't many games coming out right now anyway and cowboy just cuts him off and starts talking about upcoming indie releases 😂

I just did my first play threw and idk what people are talking about. Maybe cause a lot of issues have been fixed at time of me playing but I love this game. Elden ring I just cannot play because I have sooooo much lol 200 hours I’m done till dlc and lords of fallen, all souls , lies p, remnant 2, horizon, shoot I even liked Valhalla . People just need to get back to playing the games those are all great in my option Elden ring is just a masterpiece but second for me is lotf

Fyi for everyone watching. Dark Crusader isn't from the bad ending it's from a questline. Bad ending gives some demon warrior looking thing.
Im lost right now in LOTF. The world and all is great but Lies of p's combat is far better en more crisp. Not even ipnfor debate. But this comes to show how goated the souls games are. That others just cant copy it to a T

I try full version of Lies of P and dodge is ok.
Not just the dodge, two swings with some of the lighter weapons is enough to send you off the edge of the map

To be fair to LotF, you only roll really far if you are not locked on or tap it twice. The sidestep which is the default dodge when locked on is fine to me.
Too many ranged enemies that hit like a truck. Keep in mind I have HEAVY armor, strength and VIT build.
The visuals are starting to get boring as it's all grey. I'm in the cave/tunnels right now with fire mobs.
The umbral was nice touch at the start but I'm tired of it now at this point. I have to swap just to pull a bridge or go up a ladder and the only change is there are MORE infinitely spawning mobs? No ty.... already too many to begin with.
Every mob attack has tracking even around corners. I have melee jumps rocketing towards me doing L shape.... Then I have big fire blasts going through walls or curving around corners. Oh and how do you like fire columns appearing UNDER you instantly hitting and fire ball, and small area, all at once not knowing WTF is going on. That bridge fight was nightmare unless you learn to just bait specific attacks.

I wouldn’t. The game is very off combat wise. It doesn’t feel fluent or “right”. Idk if clunky is the correct word, what Ruri said kind of describes it. Floaty. Idk it’s just not feeling smooth at all. Save yourself the money.

The thing with console vs PC is that games are often being released in a better state for consoles than PC. I have both and I'm pretty tired of the state of a lot of PC releases.
If you have a mid tier PC the console is going to beat it out in performance and graphical fidelity but if you have a high end PC you are gonna get some really sick graphics that consoles just dont have access to.
Cyberpunk 2077 with the new Path Tracing update looks so sick and is totally playable on a 4080 at 4k res. A console could never do that

The strat to get platinum that I think the devs thought out was to make you play the game with every class. Which isn’t what you typically do.
I thought DS3 and Sekiro platinums were annoying. Platinum for LOTF seems super annoying.

I think with speed running at a high efficiency on NG3 it still takes like an hour.

I don't like how enemies movesets are so awkward and random in lies of P, which is why I'm enjoying Lords of the fallen more. Enemies are just more fun to fight, with better telegraphs and more intuitive movesets that look natural. That being said... Lords of the Fallen needs to chill with ranged enemies EVERYWHERE
