I’ve been looking everywhere for someone that has modded a newer Volvo. I really want to see someone swap and mod a newer S60.
I think you found the channel for that:)
The t6 engines are very impressive.
I’ll mod my 2019 S60 if you have any ideas!
Im not too familiar with the 4cyl engines but im sure i would upgrade downpipe and intercooler first.
I have a 2015 Volvo S60 last year they made the turbo 5s in the t5s I have some intake work done to it mid exsaust delete and a tune and im making 350-400bhp
Where you get your maf hub
Always cool to see your hard work pay off. Thanks for sticking with the vehicle, I know I’m not getting rid of mine either.
Oh nice!!!!! Finally numbers before and after on the elevate Manifold with the Hilton tune. Awesome numbers!
Just got a 05 T5 so gotta watch all the vids. I was a Honda guy but I love these Volvo’s.
Thanks for watching:) subscribe.
you did a great change
That idle sound , fantastic. Volvo power all the way💪yeah
I'm getting ready to mod my 2012 XC70 T6 the numbers you just showed are the same numbers that I was told by a buddy of mine that's a Volvo mechanic so that's got me excited geez 500 foot pounds of torque!!! Nuts
Yeah and that at the wheels.
I have a 2016 T6-XC60 Turbo 6Cyl , Turbo back exhaust with high flow cat, Snabb intake and J pipe with a Rob HILTON tune also. **Words don't capture how much FUN these cars are to drive with MASSIVE TQ rush and the beautiful Deep sounding Inline Turbo 6 Cylinder.. As he says... Every time I drive it, makes me smile !! Way fun !! ....Just Ordered the KT4 Hybrid Turbo upgrade, ELEVATE Billet intake manifold and 1000cc injectors w 320L fuel pump ...Can't wait to get them installed and an Updated Hilton Tune !!
Very nice build. Why fuel pump?
Yesss. Well done mate.
Raced one of these s60 in my 300 with the 5.7 kept up with me. Was impressed
I spank the scatpacks all day. These cars are sleeper. The Rdesign and Polestars.
dang thats dope. I would love to have a ride it looks so fun
Very nice i like your videos!
Thank you for spending all your Time and effort and money on these videos for us I greatly appreciate it good job by the way it makes me enthusiastic about upgrading my S 60 t6
Thanks for posting. I would recommend upgrading the IC piping before upgrading the turbo.
I'm from México city nice 2 meet you, i got a Volvo S40 T5 and sounds like yours the cold start, and i only removed the exhaust, was the only thing that i did, what i see and heard you have straight pipe or what we called downpipe, nice car, best regards...
I like your channel very much. I own a 2012 v60 T6 R. I agree with you. I don’t think this car has any amazing advantages, but it did make the owner not want to sell it. I am only doing basic modifications to the car, but I have been keeping an eye on the upgrade of the power part and plan to implement it in the future. I will continue to pay attention to your channel. What I am more worried about is whether the gearbox can withstand the torque of the engine as the power increases, and there are no parts on the market that I have strengthened for the gearbox.
If you watch some of my videos i did upgrade the gear box valve body and added transmission cooler. I have 500ft lbs of torque that 680nm at the wheels. The transmission even without upgrade handled it very well its not the same tf80 transmission as the old ones used in p2s.
@@BuiltForSpeed Yes I saw your video about gearbox upgrades. Although you have a very bad service experience, fortunately you finally get an exciting gearbox. I live in China, and if I encounter the same problem, considering the distance and communication problems, I might break down haha. Thank you for your video which helped me very well. In addition, I know that you have plans to upgrade the turbo in the future, and I will continue to follow your video. I think your video will definitely help me to upgrade my power in the future. The upgrade products for the b6304t4 engine are now gradually increasing. I saw on the ins that a user named @bluebeastv60 is also upgrading his v60 turbo, which may be helpful for your next upgrade
Yes i will be going alittle different route from him but similar. He is local here as well. I met with him a few times.
going to dino my 2012 idenitical to your stage 2 i will let you know, thanks again
Keep up the good work
I own an 2011 S60 2.0L turbo 203HP. It was a good deal when i got it and it drives like a dream soo smooth and at the lights It's alwess
first
Just got a 2015 Volvo S60 T5. It has the 2.0 turbocharged engine with 240 hp and it’s surprisingly quick. I liked the Alfa Romeo Giulia TI Sport I had before better but this is more comfortable and surprisingly quick. What are some mods to give this 300 - 400hp reliably? And what are some sites to get good interior mods such as shifters , steering wheels like the one in this video, rims etc. I’m even thinking about changing out some interior parts on the door panels and getting a new center console replacement. Any help would be appreciated!
WOW good job! You are at the max the trans can handle. What a car this must be to drive. I miss my S60!
Idk lol if that the max. I upgraded the valve body and added cooler. It handles it like a champ for now lol. No isues
@@BuiltForSpeed how do you upgraded the valve body?
I don't agree with you... Sorry.
I will admit, however, that I have heard this from many different sources other than your words on this matter... And apparently this "Transmission Torque Limit", if we could call it that... Is one of the big drawbacks on the 3.0l S60 Polestar models, as the stock torque figure already sits at 480nm, while apparently the limit for the 6 speed auto transmission is 500nm. Okay, that's all fine and well, and let's go with saying that it is truly limited to that 500nm torque... Now tell me... Who/where/what can you actually say that this is something that you have seen, or experienced, or know someone (or a place like a performance company), that can prove this? Or maybe, no one has been brave enough to test this limit and even tried bothering the idea of increasing the power due to this "so called" limit of 500nm...? (idk, honestly I don't... So would really appreciate any information as proof). This is a side from the fact that there are very little Volvo owners compared to the amount of other manufacturer car owners all over the world, so automatically there are less of them around, and when do find them, 70% - 80% of the Volvo owners out there are not the kind of people that see the brand as a performance capable car, or ever had the means of making any performance upgrades to the car at all, ever... That's cause the brand has always targeted a different market, and the majority of those Volvo owners who have heavily modified their cars, mostly drive the older generation of Volvo cars, that deal with other limitations or they are built from the start to have other gearboxes in place to support big levels of performance mods.
Here is my reasoning for not agreeing to that statement:
I drive a 2014 Volvo S60 D5 2.4l Bi-Turbo Diesel R-Design, and it has the exact same transmission as the 3.0l 6cyl turbocharged T6 S60 model (To my knowledge, as I have not long ago been informed of this by some experts on Volvos and the performance tuning on them). Now I am running my car mostly stock, for now, but I have had the CAT completely removed and got a custom stage 2 remap of the software done to it as well... Well, as surprised and impressed this gentleman is with the gains on his 3.0l 6cyl turbocharged T6, I was not surprised by the gains, he did not expect from his "minor" upgrades, as he was... Why? Cause I have personally been surprised by it as well, and heard of many others who have experienced the same surprises with their gains on mods to their Volvo's. So what is my result...? 232kw/311hp & 700nm/516lbf·ft torque (50ppm Diesel fuel used). That's OUTSTANDING and actually a bit outrageous from just removing a part that restricts power and suffocates the engine from delivering better performance, along with some software genie I know, who remapped my ecu with a custom stage 2 file... And that is honestly all I had done so far. But the car has been running this tune for over a year now, and I don't have a single day's issues or troubles with the transmission whatsoever.
Just my 2 cents opinion on this matter.
Thanks guys. And great looking car man!!
I have an 2010 Volvo s80 manual with a 2.5T 5 cylinder tuned to 300bhp and 450nm. Intercooler, full exhaust but with all the cats and silencer there. Coils, airfilter and ecu tune. Love it
Hey sick video
Your car is bad ass and you give a lot of Volvo guys like me hope.
Thank you
Hybrid turbo next! Also, show us some acceleration times please
Yea i will do those videos next most likely.
I believe Hilton is making a fuel overrun tune for the P3s. Do you think you’d add it to yours or do you like the natural exhaust sound better?
he'll have some pops after that 💥💥
Fuel overrun for exhaust pops?
Hi, I want to buy a Volvo s60 T6 AWD from 2011, could you tell me if they are reliable as cars, I want to go from 2.0 aspirated to 3.0T the distribution is on the chain for this car? What problems do these engines generally have? ? Thank you, good luck in everything you do !!
I LOVE THE CAR .I have a hilton tune im gunna do some more stuff then ima log data and try it out. Tuners can lower torque and adjust ignition timing and such there are plenty of ways hilton could switch numbers and that would be better for the transmission. These t6 motors are very torque like and transmission sometimes are not happy with lots of torque.
Have you ever tried launching it in second gear?
I have a 2014 S60 T5 awd and if i put it in 2nd gear and build up the revs (like launch control) it allows the engine to rev to 3k instead of 2k rpm and I’m able to get a much more aggressive start and its much better than brake boosting 1st gear.
Also it doesn’t actually take off in second gear, it just goes back into first and allows the revs to be higher and actually build boost on launch.
Perhaps it has something to do with the transmission changes for 2014, as i know it has an overboost feature in sport
I did. It hurts the transmission but doesnt help the launch better. Soecially in the t6s because they have alot of torque.
Well done existing boi
if you ever wanna trade a buick lesabre for it i’m your guy! only playing. dream car it looks and sounds and performs awesome
That thing has to be pretty quick!
What ECU or plug-in-play are you using?
If you did a catless you would make a bit more how high can the engine go up to with out building it
Hey man, I obsoletely love your car! I just picked up 2011 S60 T6 (metallic copper, really beautiful in with the Fall leaf colors) and I want to do a few modifications. What is the best sounding exhaust setup you would recommend? I also want to get a dual port turbo compressor recirculating valve from Elevate. What do you think? What are some other good entry level modifications?
I would get the gfb diverter valve if i was you. I have video on my channel about it with links that what i have.
And catback exhaust it depends what you want do you want it loud or just alittle nicer noise from oem that not too loud?
Best mods for this car are intercooler, and catted downpipe. Then the intake piping keep the oem box and just put k&n drop in filter in it.
@@BuiltForSpeed thank you so much!
@@BuiltForSpeed I'm looking for something that sounds nice but it still relatively neighborhood friendly 😂
Then i would go with ipd exhaust system.
Intercooler piping before turbo upgrade
Really impressive. Good job Bro..
Just got a 2015 S60 R design polestar tune myself it’s an absolute sleeper.
Cant compare an R to an R-design. Lmao
@@nerothostv it’s the same thing fatass. The R design is the R. It’s either that or just the S60 Polestar.. this dude has the same car as me. He just got the Polestar steering wheel. I have 340 hp with the polestar tune. What do you drive?
Dude the Rdesign was the replacement for the actual R. They named it Rdesign to be different from golf R. Then they added polestar after few years.
I recently bought a 2014 S60 T6 and am trying to figure out the best mods to do to get more power and a better sound while keeping it a reliable daily driver.
Here is a video i recently made of top mods:
czcams.com/video/mVYD5kT-sZs/video.html
Nice dyno numbers. Did you shim the cylinder sleeves before adding power or is that not required on the newer inline 5 and 6 Volvo engines? I know a lot of the S60R/V70R guys swear by shimming to prevent cylinder cracking.
No the t6 engine is 2jz of volvo lol its very strong.
@@BuiltForSpeed good to know, how are the P3 5 cylinders?
@@mgrasmus not very good. Have alot of friends that have issues with them.
@@BuiltForSpeed would you know around the power you can make on the p3 5 cyl?
@@carterbraun3998 depends on what mods you put on it.
Impressive #'s!! I own a 2016 V60 R Design Polestar tune and you're giving me ideas!! lol
Nice. Yeah these t6s are very good engines.
Hey there, nice video. Can you advise what sort of mileage your car has?
Mileage? I have 66k miles
I think you should do the piping and Meth injection before you do the turbo upgrade. I would imagine the turbo upgrade will mask any performance gains from the intercooler piping and Meth injection
It is Not a R, it is just a R-Design learn the difference!
Lol
Heyy brother can i ask for advice how can I contact you on the Audi A8L suspension plsss much thank you’s brother
where did you get that steering wheel it's absolutely stunning??

whats a manifold?
anyway, 2 years ago I drove the polestar version of this car and it had 367 HP and about 480 Nm. that was a fast car.
your S60 has the 4 cyl T6 or the 6 cyl T6?
Polestar version has 350hp at engine not wheels and 480 nm at engine as well my car has 350wheel hp and 680nm at wheels.
Mine is the 3.0l i6.
Intake manifold(plenum)
T stands for turbo and 6 refers to the cylinder amount if I remember correctly. All Rdesigns of that body gen had the T6
hey buddy i have a 2012 s60 t6 awd what should i do for exhaust please help should i buy the ipd one or get a muffler delete?
Ipd one will get you more power gains
My dads is a 2004 Volvo S60R 550bhp and 720 nm of tourqe he has spent about £5000 doing it all but it was worth it
Where can I find some details what was done?
@@casmon71 yes sounds interesting to me also
Maybe you can post some vids on your CZcams channel
Hard to believe numbers like that for 5k. Engine rebuild is 3-4k in Poland where it's cheaper. Plus new turbo and it's already more than 5k.
@@casmon71 i understand. Maybe only shimings in engine. And 5000 pounds are something like 6000 euro perhaps. But if the engine can 't take 550 with shiming than it is exactly what you say. Engine 3500. Exhaust and manifold 1000. Turbo for 550hp 1800. Dyno 700. Clutch? Air intake. Injectors
Is the Vmax still limited to 155mph after the tune or can the limiter be removed?
I think it can be removed. Im not sure if mine is removed or not
because there is no 1:1 gear ratio, did you dyno in 4th or 5th gear? thanks how is stage 3 comming?
3rd read the most accurately. We tried 4th is showed some insane numbers.
What are you tuning with? Love the car!
Hilton tuning.
How much it costed From stock to this stage tuning? I have stock R-Design 2.4
Mine is 3.0l t6.
Diffetent turbo...
You wont get same power with that engine and turbo. But i spent like $3-3.5k about on everything. Power mods

Yea this compared to the s60r even stage 2 is scary lol
Volvo s60 r the best volvos👌
Wow! Nice numbers, I wish I could tune my S80. But the V8 doesn’t have turbo so it’s not worth it really.
That v8 if you something like cams, headers and exhaust and throw some intakes and tune you definetly can squeeze some power out of it
@@BuiltForSpeed True, sadly there are no such parts for it :(
Aye I got a 2013 s80 t6

That steering wheel /cover is legit AF. Please tell us where you got it ?
Kt4. It's carbon fiber steering wheel.
@@BuiltForSpeed those are so nice. Would love one for my XC70 T6 project wagon. I mean on practical level, $700 Carbon fiber wheels will do nothing for my 2+ metric ton Swedish wagon other than look sexy, but sometimes that’s all you need. If I get a big bonus this year, I’m def going to consider one of these!
I just installed r-Design wheel for my XC70, I think it was from an S60 R-Design. To get paddles to work on my 2011 XC70 required rewiring and new shifter from an 2012+ R-Design and GSM module swap from 2015 V60 Polestar... well didn’t require the 2015 V60 Polestar module but same price from volvo directly so went for it... it really has livened my car up specially with software tunes I had done. I need to dyno my wagon but I would be guessing I’m pushing 300-350 WHP. I am running a stage 2 soft tune from a local company that well sadly now out of business since Covid lockdown months ago, they never reopened... but for mostly stock hardware it’s pulling a lot! I base my estimate on playing with other tuned cars on the street and their known figured they claim..
@meehhhe Of You messege kt4performance on instagram tell them i sent you they might hook you up;-). And nice. Depending on what upgrades you have and the tune if you have t6 then yea you are in 300-350whp range
@@BuiltForSpeed i should start an IG for this wagon and my projects specifically.
What's the tuner think he is the one who knows if the fuel or the air will run out first
Right now the turbo cant pump enough. So air.
I so want to mod my 12 s80 T6 . Are you using factory turbo?
Yes
My 2018 S60 (4-cyl 1969cc) makes 400 hp and 515 Nm of torque with a downpipe, midpipe and a tune. (but it is a Polestar variant 😋)
Is that wheel hp and torque or engine?
@@BuiltForSpeed On a 4-wheel hub dyno so yes, basically at the wheel. However, yes since it is a Polestar, there are many upgrades done to the engine from factory, such as, larger intake hosing, ported and polished headers, not to mention it is twin-charged, has billet piston heads, larger intercooler, etc. So yeah, with the amount of mods your car has its quite insane it can produce so much of power, but don't forget that there is no replacement for displacement 😆
@tajmisquitta3536 i see. Hub dyno, you do gain a bit of power due to not having wheel and tire weight loss. But either way, im not familiar with the 4cyl engines. And like they say, torque wins races horsepower sells cars.
@@BuiltForSpeed Oh also what I didn't mention is mine is a 95 RON tune
Do they make a gfb diverter valve for the 2012 s60 t5?
I believe so. Go on their website and check. Gofastbits website
How is your transmission handling the power?
Like its nothing. Its got 350wheel hp and 500ft lbs now. I got high pressure valve body and added a extra cooler. Transmission handling it like a champ. No issues of any kind.
Cool, nice numbers there. But why do you say it’s wheel hp and it’s written “at engine” in the paper? Thanks and keep pushing.
That just how their dynojet thing is set up. But its for sure wheel, i verfied it with him. When we were stock we made 298whp and 354ft lbs i believe
@@BuiltForSpeed awesome numbers! Congrats. Just sold mine V60 3.0 T6 AWD. I will miss it.

How the gearbox works?, i heard they can't handle a lot of torque?🤔

Yes it should. I added tranny cooler to mine and modified my valve body to be high pressure. I made videos about it on my channel
All looks nice except for the downpipe, it sounds cheap I really don’t like the sound of it , the blue IPD one sounds way better , nice and deep the way it should be.
The ipd downpipe is 2.5inches at the cat. Its too small same thing with ferrita. Kt4 or 8eightfab is only ones that make true 3.5inch downpipe. The engine is what makes that sound. We paired the ipd downpipe with magnaflow muffler i believe in our blue one it sounds little different.
@@BuiltForSpeed I feel like a 3.5 inch pipe connecting to a 2.5 inch pipe doesn't make sense to me, most of it is restricted, an inch of exhaust gas is hitting the flange on the catback isn't it?, even downpipes for the a90 supra tapers down to the factory exhaust size, I think if you get ferrita or maybe apa tuned catless downpipe you'll probably make more power, or go 3 inch catback, but either way having 500 wheel torque is awesome for a daily lol
Kt4 one that i have is full 3.5inch all the way through and theres one more company that makes 3.5inches all the way through is 8eightfab. Ipd and ferrita goes to 2.5at the cat and flange...
Put a manual trans in it and a big boy turbo 😃
T6 has a 4 cyl gasoline engine and a electric engine so don`t think it is possible since it`s a hybrid
Nope the p3 from 2010- early 2016 have 3.0l i6cyl.
Even the p5 new ones t6 models have turbo and supercharger i4 on them no electric engines. The t8 model has turbo, supercharger and electric motors.
What he said ^ 😄 I have one. Been waiting for someone other than polestar to make a manual p3
With that Level 10 stuff and a big transmission cooler it's better than a manual

this guy clearly owned a civic with the way he throws himself into the seat
Never ever. And if you driven a car with 500ft lbs of torque at all 4wheels you wouldn't be talking like that. Owned and evo x. And 370z that about it.
I’ve been in a few 500+ tq cars.My friend has a 900hp URS4, He worked along jeff garner to build it and it throws you in your seat but your throwing yourself into the back of the seat while you floor it. You can see yourself leaning forward and while hammering the pedal throwing yourself back and slowly leaning forward. I’m not saying it’s not an impressive car. I’m just pointing out something I find funny
@lgk32 to be honest the throwing back wasn't intentional maybe i relaxed too much and it seemed that way idk. But im not no civic junkie that pretends.
can you send a link or part number for BBS rims that you have ?
I don't think they sell them anymore. They are bbs ck wheels. They were part of the kpax package. I saw someone selling similar to these forged ones. If i find out for sure who I'll add link
@@BuiltForSpeed thanks man !! appreciate the quick response ! yeah if you get it , lmk. happy new year !

@@iBulletzHD Here's my ad on Swedespeed. www.swedespeed.com/threads/bbs-ck-19x8-w-like-new-summer-tires.610823 Haven't really thought about what I'll sell them for yet tbh. The condition is exactly the same as the pics - no rash since then. Located in San Diego, CA. Feel free to message me there. I'd like to start a convo with you, but don't want to post my information here.

Was this car ever available in UK ?
Not sure.
Yes, the 3.0 T6 engine was available in S/V/XC60 plus higher powered Polestar versions of the S and V60 until around late 2016 when the 3.0 T6 engine was replaced, due to emissions, with a 2.0 4cyl with more power and 8 speed transmission to replace the earlier 6 speed.
The 2.0 was still badged T6 to denote the power, despite now being a 4 cylinder. The 2.0 in T6 tune (turbo and supercharger) was only available in Polestar trim but this engine was also available in a lower powered T5 turbo form, which can obviously be mapped plus the 8 speed Aisin Warner transmission is much better than the older 6 speed. Hope that helps.
@@dontcare32123 thanks, would love a 3-0 T6 but never seen one for sale yet
You should do next is sell it and buy a Golf R .
What this car cost me with upgrades is what golf r would of cost me alone. Maybe in future definey not selling this.
