I love seeing the evolution of the fast cap and screws. Thanks!
Michael Thank you to be honest with you we have a lot of fun doing what we do.
You guys earned an new sub!
Paul, I thank you for making this video!
You are most welcome!
BRILLIANT and TGHANK YOU!!!
I'm looking to buy some of these to try but I don't see a guide anywhere for what size I need to buy. I'm covering mostly drywall screws and wood screws that are a comparable size. It looks like the 3/8" caps will work. Is that the size I should use?
What are the cap diameter of your drywall screw? Get the Fastcap that will fully cover that.
I bet the brushed aluminum cap on the screw with the black finishing washer would look really good. In the right situation it would turn the screws from a eyesore into a design element.
That's a great idea!
I literally came here to check for a pan head screw solution and it turns out is the one that has none :,)
Can you use these to mask the screws while painting?
Yes, our Fastcaps will work to mask a flat-headed screw for painting. The caps will not work well on a domed screw. The domed head makes it impossible for the Fastcaps to sit flushed to the screw head.
Ugh...i get these little caps with the furniture but my screws never ever sink enough so the stickers look to hoover over the surface as the screw sits right above the surface no matter how much my screwdriver spins. It's so annoying.
The stickers get knocked off all the time.
En las laminas galvanizadas del techo de talleres o bodegas siempre hay agujeros tendrán parches para tapar los agujeros de las laminas ?
Sounds plausible, but I’m not hundred percent sure.
How do i remove these?
FastCap! Now I know where the name comes from. ;-)
yep!
Wish you had decorative pretty ones-- like a flower pattern or something like that... that'd be great...
@starry starry night you paint the Fastcaps. For the unfinished real wood caps they have to a few light coats to seal the wood first. They can also paint the white PVC but it isn’t as permanent.
I’m a bit confused about that last scenario with the 18mm cap. What’s the purpose of setting the screw head below the surface instead of flush if the cap is spanning over the hole?
Kermit it is not always easy to set the screw perfectly flush and it's very easy to drive it just below the surface therefore A cap that spans the whole is very useful
@@FastCapLLC
Well you better kaizen that flush mount drill bit set if it's not easy!
@@iamchillydogg Oh, if only everyone used our Flush Mount Drill Bit!!!
@@FastCapLLC
They would but it's not always easy to set the screw perfectly flush!
Kermit not always easy to make sure the screw is perfectly flush it is easy to always make it little below the surface
Can you take fast caps off whenever you want? Does it leaves any marks if you can?
Yes, you can take them off. If you take it off right away, it won't leave a mark. If you leave it on for a bit you will probably need to use a solvent to get off the mark...but it does come off.
@@FastCapLLC thank you
I'd like to use Fact Cap outdoors to hide screws on a Pergola, can it be used outside? Will it last?
PVC Fastcaps can be used for outdoor applications and will work fine. They are water resistant and will withstand temperature changes no problem. The only concern with PVC is if they are in direct sunlight some of the colors will fade over time, similar to how plastic outdoor furniture will sun fade. The real wood ones will work ok, but will behave like wood. So if you are using the raw wood it will absorb moisture, expand and contract with temp, etc.
Can you paint these FastCaps?
@Frank Irr Yes, you can paint the Fastcaps. If you paint the unfinished real wood caps, paint a few light coats so the caps don't get over saturated. This will allow the wood to seal so you can paint more if needed. You can also paint the white PVC, but it is not as permanent.
I just see this but im from philippines and shipping is so expensive :< i want to buy :
Here is a link to our international distributors. ow.ly/mnj930gfEea Maybe try one in Australia?
Why not use melamine that looks like millions of screw heads, that way you won't notice any screws you put in it.
