i really appreciate japanese voice acting. They can convey emotions like no other. You can really grasp the sadness and frustration of tanjiro in the end. Because of that i watch animes sub. In german it sounds corny most of the time.
It is also paying respect for japanese folks doing so good job, it deserves to be watched in japanese. That also means for chinese or korean, or any other language.
Listen different language, not just firkin english. Literate people can read!

Do you speak german? See, i ask because i have this idea that we all love subbed and despise our own language dub because of the barrier itself. When i hear an english actor, i can understand each and every word. When i hear a japanese voice actor i can only hear the voice itself, i do not inderstand the words. I feel as if this creates a psychological effect where we truly listen to the way the voice moves and sounds because we cant understand the words. If the episode is in our language i feel as if we give less attention to the detail of the voice actor bc we can actually focus on the words themselves.
When I saw the movie, I shed tears. Watching it again through this leaves the same impression. Respect for Rengoku!

To S rank Akaza it's basically a necessity to get the >75% health bonus and below a certain amount of time, the Rengoku just didn't get the most bang out of his combos and got hit too many times.

To be completely accurate, the fight should have had infinite phases with each one being harder than the one before (As Akaza gets more and more serious) until the last quicktime event gets triggered when Rengoku falls below a certain threshhold. After the initial attack when he gets punched through, his hp becomes zero, but jumps to 1 again when he hits Akaza in the neck.
I was kinda hoping when he started cutting the neck it'd give you an impossible button mashing prompt with an increasing amount of buttons to simulate just how hard it was for him to hold Akaza there.
Using all the strength in his right arm to cut, all the strength in his left arm to block, and all the strength in his core to keep Akaza's arm stuck in his stomach. All with the hope that he could hold him there just a few more seconds until the sun came.
My boi Rengoku is the best, love this guy, so goofy yet unbelievably strong, too bad his story end here

I'm pretty underwhelmed by the QTE events in this game, but I'm glad that they're in the game nonetheless. For a late-game boss fight, I was hoping to see a sprawling QTE bar like we would get in the Storm series. It also doesn't seem like they added any extra flair to these boss fights.

Yeah, while I personally enjoyed most of the boss fights, the QTE’s in this game are severely lacking in both occurrences and how elaborate they are. Some of them are literally one button presses, which sucks.

I really felt Rengoku’s desperation and just how outclassed he was in the movie through the sheer difficulty of the fight, not sure if that’s intentional or not but I love it, and the voice acting is amazing.

Rengoku knew from the start that he couldn’t beat akaza. But he still fought and protected every single passenger along with tanjiro, zenitsu and inosuke. That was his true goal. And akaza fled from the scene, therefore making rengoku the true winner of this battle. Even if he lost his life, he still completed his goal and fought to the end.
