Closest thing to Led Zep other than the real thing, 2 bad one of the Robinson bros pissed Jimmy off and cut it short. Love the Black Crowes no matter without Steve Gorman, who KILLED it on this short tour. Live at the Greek is really something special ✌️
Not a big fan of the crows , but backing Page there ok , Jimmy is back on fire , the problem with not being a singer is he needs a solid backing band . He never could find that I think that’s why he hasn’t been more prolific as a solo artist Jimmy us still number 1 in my book
Had tickets for this show in Atlanta. Saw Pagey twice with the Firm, the solo show ugh, and then Plant and Page twice. I can not believe I miss the best of Jimmy when I could.
I always loved Out on the Tiles (well, I love EVERY Led Zep song). It's great the Crowes played the whole thing here, it was such a tease on LZ live albums when they'd play the beginning riff as an intro into 'Black Dog'.
I hate the live teaser lol. That’s cause Plant was scared to sing it live. He could’ve easily done what Chris is doing here, which is cutting the notes short in the chorus and thickening it up with back ups
I roll down to comment on Gorman and there's your compliment-you beat me by a year-LOL! He's always there except from '01-'05) and if they ever replaced him I'd bitch louder than Chris can sing until they brought him back. Hell, I just recently found out he also does sports radio on Fox
i was only 11 when this show was played, and i didn't know out on the tiles. i heard the intro and thought it was black dog.. since then tiles has been one of my favorite tunes. crowes rock it hard.
The shows on 10/18 and 10/19/99 at the Greek Theater in L.A. were recorded by Third Eye Productions. I am lucky to have both shows on DVD. The performances are amazing and the recording quality is perfect.
@iamrwg2u In the net runs an amateur DVD from which I took these scenes. I do not know if there is an official DVD. Search for "Black Crowes live at greek. " Sorry for my bad english
I was 2nd row front center at Walnut Creek July 4, 2000.......I think I paid $200 for the seat and that was before sales on internet, now they'd be $2000 per!
Page was preparing to give that dude the old 'machine head ' wasnt he ? Good thing he fell when he did or he'd ahve been the first dude evr KO'd by Pages Les Paul
That was hilarious. What did he think was going to happen, high five the band while they are playing? I love how jimmy seems to lunge right at him like he is going to bash him over the head with his les paul
no its a trans performance tuning system, you press one of the buttons and it tunes itself to the selected tuning. You should look it up on google and see all the shit thats crammed inside that les paul
This is one of the best collaborations in history
Straight up.
I never knew about this collab and just stumbled across it.
I can't believe how good it sounds.

Man...the lucky bastards that got to see this show!!
Some bands are lucky to write 5 catchy hooks in a lifetime. Page and Zep came up with about 5 per song. Insane talent!
Chris's voice brilliant
❤

this is the good part of youtube.
Amazing, stellar perfomances! Led Zep = GOAT
Page's writing skills were unworldly. How'd he come up with this stuff? lol
One of my favorite Zeppelin 'hidden gems'- if there's such a thing. Jimmy & the Crowes really do it justice here.
Gorman is absolutely on fire here
I roll down to comment on Gorman and there's your compliment-you beat me by a year-LOL! He's always there except from '01-'05) and if they ever replaced him I'd bitch louder than Chris can sing until they brought him back. Hell, I just recently found out he also does sports radio on Fox
The drummer? He's awesome man! I think the next best thing to bonzo.
I love Chris R vocals. But he just don't have the high notes like plant, or the power of plant. Great body of work none the less.
Jeremy V get ready to start bitching...
helps having this drummer in your band.
No shit. Dude is a badass
God I wish they would make this tour again. F’ng brilliant!
i was only 11 when this show was played, and i didn't know out on the tiles. i heard the intro and thought it was black dog.. since then tiles has been one of my favorite tunes. crowes rock it hard.
I love this show. Saw them both nights at the Greek. Perfect pairing. I wish Marc Ford was in the band then, but Audley did his job well. Good times
This kicks ass! They made a great team.
What a great singing from Chris...he done it fantastic...with powerfull guitar sound. Out on the tiles...and then Whole lotta love...rulez.
Page uses a theremin... been around for a loooong time. I played with one in the very early 70s.
This is beyond great
Jimmy riffing and sweating in 90's. I love it!
This is raw rock 'n' roll and it's amazing.

Jimmy Page, you are a BADASS!!!!
Out on the tiles one of my faves and that guitar jimmys playing is fucking bad ass great show!!!!

Only JP...the Master!!!
Absolutely Amazing....made my day!!!!!!
My favorite Led rocker. Rarely played by Zep. Only in the early days when Plant could hit that highest note.

It almost hurts me to see Jimmy with anyone but Plant and Jones

Listen to the version in song remains the same concert-That is the shit!
Mr Jimmy Page...
@themadplotter I don't know for sure, but I think you're right. It's probably the only or one of the rarest.
💎
@themadplotter
October 1999, two nights at Greek Theater
03:46 Whole Lotta Love
i believe that would be what is called a theramin...electronic device created in the 20th century for horror movie sound effects i think
Put Page in the Crowes full time, and John Paul Jones with Seasick Steve, we have two amazing acts out there in the current climate of utter garbage.
Page was preparing to give that dude the old 'machine head ' wasnt he ? Good thing he fell when he did or he'd ahve been the first dude evr KO'd by Pages Les Paul
blind melon cover was perfect !
NO.
Orange amps..my friend had an orange.they last forever.
i can't believe that theremin still works after all these years. lol
Sounds like he is singing in a lower key.
very good drummer almost as good as the great bonham
jimmy was soncute when when he move from that man
i like mmm
I can't believe no one has mentioned the drunk fanatic who tried to tackle jimmy on stage at 7:55
@TheLois99 its the hair that gives it away :D i think this might be the only clip of Mr Page playing out on the tiles on youtube?
hey man when was this gig? looks like 90s jimmy to me but cant be sure.
any idea how a fan can get a hold of these?
👍
sure beats Hard to Handle lol.....
Nope. theres the coverdale/page version in osaka 93
Gorman For Strength.
Gorman For Strength
That was hilarious. What did he think was going to happen, high five the band while they are playing? I love how jimmy seems to lunge right at him like he is going to bash him over the head with his les paul

It's called a theremin it's been around along time to add effects
You know of course this means Jimmy Fucking Page is underrated!!!???
omg jimmy was gonna get an attack by a man at 7:55
Anyone else notice that Jimmy's soloing is.... not what it used to be? I mean... he never even tried... his anti-aging black magic isn't working!!!
LOL 7:55
CRANK THE FCK OUT OF IT AT 6:20
Here's a Zepper....
Whole lotta love???????
I did.... unfortunately my response doesn't sound as good as the black crowes and Jimmy Page doing out on the tiles and whole lotto lobe lol
zep songs are performed well with 2 guitarist at least.
Nicola Tesla is watching.
2:00 lip sync :P
cause jimmy plays alone with zeppelin..
I didn't know Jimmy was going bald.
Nah, he just had short hair at that point. The man is now 72, and he has long hair again, although tied back in a pony tail
He was about 50 then....most men do
