That intro is Hysterical & accurate. We do Annapolis every spring for Naval graduation to see the Blue Angles. When i lived there i used to rent my driveway and front yard for boat show parking. About to get a Hatteras 72 and your videos have been super helpful.

Our daughter did a summer internship in Annapolis.
What a beautiful city , cobblestones and all.
The United States Naval Academy adds a really great touch to the town.
You went there to get a "head", right?
I think about that western song,
"If you've got the money, Sonny, They've
got the time" .and everything nautical is pricey.
I Remember going to Johnson's Hardware in Point Pleasant, NJ, that's the Johnson Skiffs family, back in the sixties
and boat accessories were pricey even then.
The Sea, Islands are the lure that we all are attracted to, unless you get seasick:)

Annapolis has always been one of our favorite towns. Whether by boat, or driving there for the Boat Show, we always have fun.

Was Great to meet You and Lynn finally. Have to get together in Phila some time for some dinner or drinks...were right across in West Deptford. Next time in Stuart Florida too. Were same marina as Searching For C-Shells, Cindy and Sheldon are good boating friends😊

If you're looking for a lightweight replacement for the whaler, you might consider an 11'1" Highfield with an aluminum hull (134 lbs) with a Tohatsu 15 or 20 hp outboard - 95 lbs for either the 15 or the 20 with the pull start. I got the pull start to keep it simple and save weight. This gives you a total of around 250 lbs with some stuff in the dinghy. I put this combo on top of my 56' Hatteras. I can easily handle turning it on the davit, raising and lowering, it by myself. Also, because it's so light, it helps lower the center of gravity of the boat. It works out really well.
