    So sorry this happened to you. People with bad character and no integrity are everywhere. But I am so happy you put this experience on social media. Yes, the management should have at least come by to express their regret that this happened. And since they did not, it speaks volumes about their character and lack of regard for their patrons. Thank you. We will not be staying at that campground.

    You can also attach solar rechargeable motion sensing lights outside the RV. I have some on mine and their sensor range is 60ft! Good theft deterent! And battery operated camera like ring or blink works great!

      Whoever cut the cable used bolt cutters or construction grade bolt cutters ,looking at the cut you showed it was a clean cut,it is a tool used to cut pig iron supports that is used to reinforced concrete that is being built for building foundations.

      Incase TT doesn't give you a personal heads up; there most likely are Thieves there as well. Bonus info, they are Everywhere!! Maybe you are new to camping (er Glamping), I have camped since a kid (1960's) and basic common sense is to lock up and put stuff out of sight. ie it's not hidden by the patio table. The difference now, is all the Glampers have expensive equipment and toys; hence should have bulletproof locks..And, yes criminal kids can definitely get their hands on boltcutters.

    I remember during my college years we would go camping, feel safe and no one dared to take anything from your campsite. In today's world, people walk across your lawn, take what ever they can and management looks the other way. It's getting scary to go out camping specially when you are solo.

      I’m one of 4 kids and my parents had several different type of campers over the years. We are from New Orleans and before the kids had our own lives, we would dedicate 2 weeks for a vacation. We’ve been to every state, my mom would research things to do in each state, we drove from Nola to Nova Scotia, Washington state….stopping at each state on the way. So much fun, I don’t like flying I’d rather road trip to be able to see more

    My son and I did the fish spa in Germany. I am not ticklish on my feet, so I can't speak to that. But we were side by side, and most of the fish were surrounding my son's feet, so I felt cheated.
    It is sad that people steal your stuff. It doesn't matter how much stuff you have it's yours, and people need to respect your property. But it does look a little fishy!!! I can remember when we didn't even lock our doors. This just reinforces that we need to set our monitor out for the cameras every trip.
    Ashanti, make the alarm sound again. 😅 Talm, I like the glasses.

    Definitely had some professional bolt cutters. I’m sorry that you guys experienced this but happy that you recovered your scooter. I have a special disdain for thieves. In my opinion the park definitely had an obligation to “at minimal” reach out to you, apologize, offer assistance, something. That is poor management. Tattletale makes a good portable alarm system. We also have a dog that loses her mind anytime someone comes near the camper. She hears everything! Hope your continued travels are theft and stress free!

    • @AdventureBandits1
      @AdventureBandits1  Před 7 měsíci

      Yes, I agree. Someone had some bolt cutters. The park was geared toward making money. Could care less about the people that come to the park. We thought about a dog. They will alert you when someone is close.

    1- Installing surveillance cameras. 2- Park in a parking lot in the vicinity of the parking cameras and you can return to them through the Parking Department.
    3- Try as much as possible to bring all your belongings inside while sleeping or when leaving the RV.

    Sorry for your loss. I had a scooter stolen from downtown LA. I think security was involved. Get a disc brake alarm off of Amazon. It sounds off when the scooter is moved. Works on anything with a disc break.Also don't use that type of lock. The one I use looks like a shackle. Get Ring camera. They are portable. I ride my scooter to work everyday and it is very vital to me.

    About seven years ago, someone broke into our pickup truck with folding camper attached. We were in the restaurant about thirty minutes. They took our backpack with electronics. We do not notice until our next campground, however we did notice the lights flashing on the truck and reset the lights alarm. Tried to find camera and realized someone broke my door lock and backpack was missing. We were just of Indy Indiana when it happened. So we now take our backpacks inside where ever we go. Lesson learned.

    That town looked like a ghost town! I’m guessing just because it’s off season. I’ve heard of the fish spa but I don’t think I could do it. You can learn to drive Ashanti! Shelley just backed out rig in to the campsite last weekend for the 2nd time! That’s terrible you had your scooter stolen! I think I would want to change parks! We had the cable cut on our bikes but I think they got spooked because they didn’t actually take the bikes. We recently got a security camera for the outside of our rig. If there saw the last scooter at the camp site of the last attend why didn't they give it to the office so it could be returned to the owner that was last in that camp site instead of packing it to take with them. SMDH. Management knows about this problem.

    Sorry to hear about your scooter, nothing worse than a thief. From all the different parks I have been to, its usually the scum that live outside the park that come in and steal things. As far as your cable, a battery powered angle grinder with a cutoff wheel or an eletricians heavy wire cutter will go right through it. Watching hours of youtube videos on this subject, I spent almost $400 for a cut proof lock for my $4k electric bike. Even with the price of that lock, I always put it back inside my locked trailer. Safe travels

In that case the police advised that theft of E Bikes in that area was a thing so it is not isolated. That person had security cameras and saw the person but of course they had face covered up. Good for you adding security, a little alarm wouldn't hurt either. It's sad that nice things can't be had by those who worked to buy their things but it is only going to get worse. Man... Gotta use those thick chains. For one, they make noise when you move them and you need a grinder to cut it. All you need is some snips fot that wire cable you had. Sorry you went through this. It's a cold ass game. But put that thing inside your rv. When we go camping, everything worth anything goes in our tent.

  • @livinglife2535
    @livinglife2535 Před 7 měsíci +1

    please note those types of cables are very easy to cut. some people walk around with backpacks with cable cutters inside. we put alarms on our ebikes. the alarms work great! sorry for your loss or should I say the loss of feeling secure.

    Glad you got it back. Sorry you had to go through that, though. Have seen this in a lot of videos. Always remove the battery and use a chain to lock it up. Cables are way too easy to snip through. Have watched video surveillance videos, takes them less than 8 seconds with bolt cutters.

    U must have outdoor cameras. Its a must at all parks. And the person that took the camera most likely lives onsite. Remember all types of personalities own RVs. Trust no one. Install cameras on the outside. Ring cameras would work great. Always know your surroundings... get a camera.

    New to your channel sorry about your loss. If I had things left out I would be putting AirTags on anything that is not bolted down and making sure I have to serial number and pictures. I would make a file on everything and add the receipt pictures AirTag info. It’s awful that you have to go through all this stuff but people steal. Plus if possible have cameras that record anything on the outside of your camper. My dream would be going around to different locations enjoying places I never have been to but unfortunately I am homebound due to my health. But I love watching videos of people doing things. Hope you get your scooter back

    Humans make dry camping off grid alone look more and more appealing. Lmmfao With teens, I was always in the campgrounds so they could socialize and be close to what they loved. This time around, I want to be off grid as much as possible. My teens are now adults and my 7 year old doesn’t like people either. Lol

      @AdventureBandits1 oh, I loved it. My goal is to hit the road again soon. Unfortunately, I'm terminally ill, so I have to change my style of travel. I'm thinking of doing a Class B, C, or Schoolie this time. I need an easy breakdown and setup process. I've done both a TT and 5th wheel in the past, so I'm very aware of the time and energy required. I'm thinking a drivable will be simpler. I can't boondock everywhere I dreamt of going, but there are still many places closer to hospitals that will still bring me the peace I long for.

    4:30 mark: Yeah, I'm too ticklish, as well. Lol. Dang! I can't believe someone stole your scooter! That definitely looks like a professional thief. What a POS! 😠 Those parks should always be taking steps to crack down on that. 17:08 mark: Absolutely. You have to have heavy-duty bolt cutters to get through locks like that. So strange that the thief left the scooter in a spot. I'm very confused.
    18:49 mark: LOL! We eagerly await Ashanti's bathroom reviews. 😁 Well, at least they make up for the thievery a little bit with the nice bathroom and showers and pools. 🙄
    At any rate, I don't think I'd go back there since you haven't gotten any contact from the park. IMO, the full-time mobile home dwellers in the park are to be suspected. Either way, they need to hire night security guards to patrol.

    I’m not ready to hit the road yet but I am wondering if y’all considered a couple of security cameras? There are some that don’t require a subscription but will send an alert to your phone. It would even be good if you’re in the wilderness and have wildlife wanting to tear into your things. Food for thought…
