Luigi's Mansion is the tech demo we need, but do not deserve. It's worth so much more than the status it was given.
When I got a GameCube after the Dreamcast, Luigi's Mansion was one of the first games I bought for it, and loved every second.

What I love about the Mario kart for Nintendo GameCube tech demo is They used both Mario and Luigi's designs from Smash Melee which is one of my favorite Mario designs
I always had a soft spot for watching footage of Mario Galaxy 1's E3 demo back on early CZcams, really sweet seeing a topic like this :)

i’m thinking that super Mario world tech demo might’ve been one of the earliest pieces of super Mario world prototypes and I’m gonna say it was probably made around December 1988

Iirc Mario kart xxl wasn't made by nintendo rather it was from another developer who was pitching a concept to nintendo who later rejected it(likely because they already had a team to make mario kart specifically). That same tech demo would later have its tech reused for crazy frog racer on gba. Tetra bit gaming has a pretty good video on the subject that goes into way more detail then i care to mention as i guarantee there are probably hundreds of other pitch demos from third parties nintendo rejected that never went anywhere after getting rejected or probably evolved into something else.

The 2010s era for Mario was garbage in my opinion. Mario didn't even felt like a Mario back then. Nintendo was releasing stupid shit in the 2010s
The 2010s weren’t too bad for Mario I mean we got super Mario galaxy two super Mario 3-D world Mario kart 8 Mario maker super Mario odyssey it was good it’s just the new super Mario games were too generic at the time and we got pretty bad spinoffs, but we still got good games
2010s Mario was freakin AWESOME
