When you pull the motor, before you swap to the Miata’s old 5.3, you should get the car painted the same green as your old drift vette

I have found and saved the rarest Mazda FC RX7 ever made! Now this car is rare. Really rare! Let me break this down really quick...
Ever heard of the rare 100 GTUs rx7s? Only 40 have ever been claimed and only 7 are confirmed at the time of this posting! Here are the rarest rx7 FC3S models:
1500 10AE Turbo models
1400 infini
1000 winning limited
150 final edition convertible
100 GTUs...
out of that 100:
83 red on black
10 black on black
7 white on blue
There was only 100 GTUs models created between 1989 and 1991.

@@Sun-ut9gr it's def not cheaper to get a car wrapped over a $300 maaco paint job. Plus wrap would look terrible with the body damage not fixed
Maaco won't work. These PU bumper kits aren't the easiest to paint, chances are, the Maaco special will simply peel off after a short while...
@@clutchkickpj693 ~$300 for the Maaco job and $1200+ to fix their fuck-ups. Pretty sure that's more expensive than a quick wrap, but then I'm just going off personal experience.
Fuck Maaco. Color the car with paint markers and you're already ahead of their QA 😂

6:45 pour hott water on the fender and pop it out, I’ve done it for 3 fender benders
The fuel rail being a little loose and popping an o ring is exactly why mine caught on fire. Wish I noticed before like you did!
We’ve grown fond of the FC, especially because at some point we didn’t believe it would ever get built. Whether you decide to keep it or build something else as long as your motivated by the project we’ll notice and keep watching! If you’re not as motivated in spending time/money in the FC don’t keep doing it just to please us, we’ll watch whatever you want to build & drive!

By far my favorite channel! I'm digging the FC. I'd love to see you spend more time to make the FC better, then do a give away with it.
Looks so much better Taylor! Just need to tape off a line on the bottom of the doors where the side skirts end's from the front to the back fender, then spray paint the bottom part of the doors flat black so it flows in one line, and it will hide all those holes some too!! Maybe a rear spoiler to top it off...she's transformed!
That fc has a chance to be a scary good looking car man. A fantastic practice or backup car. I like you down to earth look at things. Congrats for not being afraid to drill a hole without second quessing yourself.

I kinda got the hint that the FC is too far gone to be the street car he'd like. I wonder if that'll be the cefiro, or a new platform. Cefiro would be hard to fix in case of a crash, and is pretty rare. But i'm keen to see content on that!

Don't know man. Everybody needs that one project that you have very little $ in. It works well enough and you don't care if it gets a bullet hole in it !!! Just great back up. That "don't care" stuff is part of a good life. At least I think so. It can sit a year, still starts, and cures something else that you never expected.
23:40 variety is good too. There’s a point of diminishing returns where driving something different will increase your skill in your miata
However nobody knows where that line is. Maybe you still need a lot more time behind the miata’s wheel before you hit diminishing returns relative to other cars

For your dented fender panel, and your passenger door, drill a small hole in the middle of the dent, insert a small bolt or screw with a washer from the inside, and use it to pull the dent out with a pair of pliers... Even if it's a cheap car, you should try to work out a deal with BodeVision to get it painted over... His work is amazing, and I have to think he doesn't charge that much, especially for a fellow CZcamsr...

You should totally paint the kit white. Would be so clean and so much more aggressive. Having the black kit almost understates it comparative to the body color. Such a cool car regardless!
I believe you should keep the RX7 and have your fun with it (building it like you said) and get a street drift car because why not have more cars? You have the space for it.

I think if you’re not using the cefiro or the fc maybe time to move them on, maybe even the green truck if you want a street drift car maybe do a turbo Ls in whatever vehicle that maybe, corvette?
I say keep the FC until you have a next-level pro car like a Corvette. Then you can put the Miata on full thrash duty. Until then, you have two working drift cars. That's no small deal if you don't have a team of mechanics making sure you're always ready for the next event. When you get something more hardcore than the Miata, then the FC has served its purpose and you can move on. Ditch the Cefiro and build a driftable street car like a 2JZ IS300 or even get yourself a JZX and do Ebisu level mods to it. Eventually I see you taking the drivetrain from the green truck after you turbo it and putting it in some kind of classic car, kind of like your version of Cleetus' Cummins Galaxy. Then you would have a 4 seat cruiser that goes hilariously fast and you'll probably want ditch the drift taxi anyway.

You need to build the cefiro (El Cefa) so you can tandem with Adams chaser! I miss that car!
That's the project I'd love to see. Right-hand drive would give Taylor a different challenge and could be his show-off car.

Paint from the body trim line down matte black to cover some ” character “ and give it a panda look? And get a little dove tail spoiler
Takes like a week to fully cure. But you could check out refrigerator epoxy paint. Lays down really good for spray paint and its super durable once cured.
The dirt track wheel is honestly my favorite thing on the car

The panda kit. Reminds me of the Corolla AE86 a lil.
I like the panda look. You could roller paint it with coach paint to clean it up a bit more on the cheap. I don't know if it's worth it to you to have two competition capable cars; so that if the miata is out of action you could still make an event? Then you still more or less have the problem of being out of practice on one of them though. Unless you build a clone car. Alternatively you could build it for some wheel to wheel racing say. Seeing as it has the cage and is a bit rough to become a street car again without a chunk of work. A street drift car would be a neat build but then I imagine that would be a car that you would only be comfortable driving it so hard.
It never hurts to have a backup and I love both the builds was waiting on the old miata engine to go in and really wake the FC up

Little tip - When you're drilling thin sheet metal like the body work, use your cone cutter or similar (there's a drill bit designed for sheet but can't remember the name) because twist drills can have a tendency to get 'pulled in' and go sideways or wonky and leave a crappy hole. Just my 20p worth
EDIT - Just got to the end of the video. Have you thought about putting a turbo on it and making it a bit of a monster? Could be the 'Pro 2 practice car'

dude, you already own a perfect "street style drift car", the cefiro. it's basically an rb swapped s13. throw a little angle & some more power at it, & you have a car you can drive to the track, spare tires in the backseat, AC on, and still have a totally competent drift car that is unique & not many other people will have.
I’ve got a plan for that car to be my street drift car. Except no rb or ls. Something cooler engine ease.

Keep it I think you get more angle and you look more smother in transition and not so fidgety on the wheel take a look your self you look so calm in the fc. Don't get me wrong I love the Mazda mini ls monster lol
maybe try to get the trim peices where the front bumper has that yikes spot between it on the fender on the sides
Looks much better with the kit. It’d be cool if u got the litlle trim for around the sides of the car. Also think the bay is a raw diamond. Just needs a clean up

Oh and building a k24 turbo engine and getting your engine weight with in the wheel base to use as a track day or time attack car would be cool.

tbh, to fix those fenders and the door, to pop out those dents, get a heat gun and a plunger, and pull them out, it will look better, and possibly fit better w/out those dents
Get a 4 door G35 or G37! Same as a 350 or 370 and can easily bring 4 tires in car + Gear + a friend for a whole day of drifting. Or just Sell the FC and build that pro level vette. Stoked for that build when it comes.

You should totally get another FC and LS swap it with all the creature comforts like AC and full interior! Make a whole series on it and also do a guide on how to make AC lines because I'm sure there are guys out there who want to learn and run AC in their drift or street cars!
we all would love to see a semi restoration of the FC! You have a street drift car already! show us some some content on your JZX! i think selling or raffling the FC makes the most sense, especially if it was a bit cleaned up.
Rattle can spray it! Or just wash and polish maybe if that would work with the condition of the paint, I love FCs
You should rattle can the whole car black so it hides tires marks, dirt, etc....Edit: If you decide to sell the car, you should hit up Colette. It'd be a perfect practice car for her!

A good wash would be cool. Maybe we get that engine swap and cheap paint job?? It can be from a spray can as long as it match. A little FC love goes a long way. Passenger seat would be nice too and get razor blade in that rear window to clean it.
It is a real improvement I know it is your beater / seat time car and you are not going to throw buckets full of cash at it but the kit has made it look as though you do care about it.
a street-friendly drift build would be cool to see!
