The 4 mph swing speed increase is accurate. I went for a lesson and after hitting some 7 irons, the instructor had me swing the fan only 3 times and then had me swing my 7 iron again. My swing speed went from 74-78 mph immediately. And my carry distance equaled my roll out distance from the original 7 iron swings. Pretty strange but I can attest that it does work.
A great tool
Do you prefer this device or the SpeedSticks/whatever thing that Fitzpatrick uses for gaining speed. Seems like you get quicker/easier results with the fan, but Speedsticks got better publicity.
Great question. For me it's not either or, more whats most relevant for the golfer. Overall the speedsticks are better for purely clubhead speed but you must use a radar to measure speed as well. Whereas the fan can help with greater awareness of swing mechanics and ground force.
