To God be the Glory, thanks for the information. Blessings
Simplest way yet most fun! Brings back good ole memories.
Favorite way to fish for them!
Thank ya Al! Great video and experience And the Crappies too ! LOL 🙏🇺🇸
You guys have no idea how blessed you are being able to catch crappie like that. I am 74 yrs old and in my whole life... I have only caught one crappie. U.S. Army, Ret. Texas
First off, thank you for your service. If you're still able to go fishing, Sam Rayburn has some giant crappies in it. If he's still guiding, try contacting "Pistol Pete" Gunn in Broaddus. I went there bass fishing (it was a couple decades ago) and saw about a 15" crappie floating on top - and something (turtle?) had bitten the head clean off of it. That fish had to be all of 18+" when it was still swimming.
@@handcannon1388 I wasn't expecting any reply. "Thank You." I have never fished at Sam Rayburn but will certainly get over there this summer. That one Crappie I caught... I caught it on a white spinnerbait when I was fishing for Bass.
@@richardherrington2852 I've caught a few incidental crappies on spinnerbaits, too. Most have been caught on small curlytail grubs and solid-body tubes of 1.5-2" in length. Homemade calftail jigs also work well.
Beautiful healthy fish. Lots of great useful info.
Great show!!!
You have provided great shows but even more your devotion to God's word, be obedient to His calling. Thank you from a decade old follower of show, and broth in Christ. God bless.
Thank you Craig!
Where would you suggest targeting crappies on a lake that doesn't appear to have much hard bottom? No reeds, rock, gravel or sand.
What kind of net was that?
Did they mention the water temp by any chance?
Noticed the float was only clipped on one end, why only one end and not on both? Does it matter?
Michael Kontes it gives the bait more action. When you twitch your rod tip, it will bring up the bottom, submerged end of the float, jigging the bait upwards in the water column
Are you using straight braid? Or is there an added leader section? Thanks:))
leader with floro tied double uni works for me.
I tie on a mono leader to mine, simply because for some reason the nanobraid I use has the tendency to slip and unravel my palomar knots. I lost 4 trout when I headed out this spring for opener. Not gonna lie though, that nano line casts like a dream. I first thought it was my knots, but I've never before had a knot unravel using braid, fluoro, or mono. So I figured it must be the line. I tied a solid double uni knot to combine the two lines and melted the tag tip to reduce the chance of it becoming unraveled. Haven't had issues since, and that mono adds peace of mind.
So out of curiosity, has anyone else had issues with knots slipping and coming undone when using nanobraid? I had it occur when trout fishing. I was using 6 pound nanobraid and on 4 occasions, I would set the hook on a fish and after a brief second of fighting it, the fish would come off. I tested my theory and it was the knots coming undone (I was using a double palomar knot). So I transitioned to using a mono leader with the nano braid. No issues experienced since.
I fish a lot of Berkley NanoFill and I've not had the issue using a regular Palomar Knot. I tend to fish it direct for Senko fishing.
I had lousy luck even holding a leader on braid when I fish tried it. I'd break off the whole leader when setting the hook on a 10" bass. A regular blood knot wouldn't work, nor would adding superglue to the knot. Then I read a tip that said to use a blood knot with about eight turns each way. That simple adjustment cured the problem.
YOU BRAGGING ABOUT GOD🤔 BUT HOW MANY BLACK FRIENDS YOU HAVE....DONT LIE🤔 AT LEAST 1 , YOU KNOW JESUS BLACK RIGHT?
