14:33, according to Todd Huckabee a professional crappie fisherman, he claims people who say to use medium rods are 1 million percent wrong. He also says to use bigger hooks like 1/4 ounce jigs. I have not successfully tried this, but he specializes in crappie fishing only. Next year I'm going to give his tactic a shot to see how it works for me.
@@danielwhirley6779 He's talking 10 foot stiff as a board rods. Anyway, I tried what Todd says and I'm not buying it. The fish down south are much bigger. Also the black crappies are much bigger further north. I think Todd Huckabee's method would work on Lake of the Woods and in Canada where fishing is extremely easy.

How abut learning to fish, and learning how to read a lake? Then you won't need electronics to do the actual work for you. But "sporting" is a word most outdoorsmen joust mouth these days.
