Game designer here, nothing will beat the cultural phenomenon that was the papas pizzeria franchise
but what is your professional opinion on cooking mama
Agreed!!!!!!!
@@abbyz13 i know u didnt ask me but old cooking mama on the ds is peak gameplay
@@jorrdan. dude I miss my DSi SO FCKING MUCH 😭😭😭 cooking mama was the only thing I played on there
i still play those games i have every single app on my phone lol i’m so sad that Adobe Flash shush down and i also want a Jacksmith mobile game so bad!!
As one of the three straight guys that listen to the podcast, I can confirm that you can design your own Crocs in Madden.
I loveeee this so much 😂😂😂😍💗💗💗💗😍💛
wow good hustle for the team, king
glad to have found you, wonder where the third guy is
@@92Nils Right here

When Brittany said Poptropica, I was instantly transported to middle school me trying to complete all the tasks on each island and having a mental breakdown because I was spending hours on forums and reading up on cheats when I should've been touching grass and establishing a strong friend group. Thanks for the cool memory guys!
Couldn’t have said it better myself
real.
That goddamn super hero island!!!
You know I thankfully had an older sister who told me how to beat each one but my heart goes out to those that didn’t, lol
I have so many unfinished accounts 💀⭐️
The fact that Brittany has said the exact words "I LOVE Ratchet and Clank! Did you play Crash Bandicoot?" in two separate episodes is so funny.
I felt like i was having deja vu
@@Ray-zq1sp Fr I was like, wait this is the new episode right???
in the same tone too hahah
the amount of times brittany has mentioned the baskin robbins she worked at getting robbed at gunpoint on this podcast and her channel 😭
and i’ll act surprised everytime
it was a formative experience, she's processing
To be fair im thankful, this is the first time I’ve heard her say it😅😭
@@hantheminion you 😊
honestly the only podcast that has me dying laughing every episode. if you guys had trixie and katya as guests to talk about drag or something i think the earth would heal
A video on online queens would be sick!
I second that they need to have them on
THIS HAS TO HAPPEN
talking about gay twitter 😭
Brittany turning Swedish made me piss myself oh my god that was so funny
She has the help of Trixie who’s a dialect coach
She's one of those Paypal. 👱♀
@@undeniablyunreliable i knew it, the accent just sounds so natural

"Swedish" sorry i cant help but feel offended as a swede, we don't sound like that lmao
Can you guys do an episode on weird subreddits? There’s plenty to talk about there 😳
I love this idea omg
@@MicahCwen rightttt they’d have a fucking field day talking about it 😭
@@bigwaffles it would have to be l made into two videos like the bronies one, there are so many damn subreddits that could be used 💀
Im just commenting so they might see this☠
Could be a series tbh
Sarah if you were ever to get a video game I would definitely recommend Stardew Valley. You show so much interest in it and it is very cute and stressless game, you get to form relationships with everyone, uncover secrets, care for your farm every season with new plants and animals. It literally is the most cutest game ever
Agree! I love Stardew Valley because of how relaxing it is.
Until that first flower dance then the game lets you experience REJECTION.
Stardew is so so so good. PLUS queer options! I love the game so much ❤️
Yes yes yes
oh my god. If Sarah and Brittany started a farm TOGETHER and streamed it I would watch the absolute shit out of that!
britney not being a FNAF stan was something i wasn’t ready for tbh
i feel like it would’ve been more unexpected and random if she was
it’d be so slay if she was
That game has always been so overrated tbh
SAME AND ROBLOX
I could see Brittany being obsessed with the lore so much she could be on matpats channel and owning all plushies
Brittany and Sarah are like the cool older sisters that understand and discuss internet culture with us that we never had in our lives
no literally
this comment makes me feel so old lmfao
@@hamilcross you're not old, you're just one of our older siblings lol
@@hamilcross sameee 😆😆 because for my old millennial self, they'd be my younger, gen z cousins
Brittany is almost 10 years younger than me. Cries in old*
The thing about ironically acting sexy to begin to actually feel sexy is the same for confidence in general. Act confident long enough and eventually you’ll find you’ve actually become that way.
I used to hate this advice because it sounds like absolute bs but it actually works. When I made the conscious effort to not say mean things to myself in the mirror and started hyping myself up (eventhough I didn't believe any of it at first), I actually managed to improve my self image tremendously.
fake it till ya make it
@@jocalderone113 I can second this bc as a teen I really thought it was dumb…but it works. The way we talk to ourselves matters
As former cake decorator/baker from a particular popular grocery store in the south, the meat department is at the top of the pyramid simply because they make the most money and they don't have to interact with customers. Sorta similar to the "gym teachers are the smartest because they get paid the same and get to play all day."
@@megangoodhart It very well could be
As another Publix decorator veteran, I salute thee
Brittany and Sarah trying to figure out how to play games with their commentary on twitch would be hilarious I am begging yall to make a channel
this is actually genius
stardew valley is one of my favorite games of all time. there are virtually no rules. once you figure out the mechanics, the possibilities are endless
Need this podcast duo to do a gaming spin off series so bad. The things I would so to see these two screaming at creepers.
I FUCKING SECOND THIS SO HARD PLEASE
They need their OWN game. Disney style where their heads are too big for their body and they run around collecting things.
YES
ITS BEEN TOO LONG DADS but fr thank you for gracing us with another hour of escape from life
DADS?? Brittany is clearly an auntie
The definition of why i watch this podcast
You’re not my real dad 😂
parental extraterrestrials
The lady stuffing balloons in the back of her car was possibly the best and most accurate imagery for ADHD I’ve heard lol
I grew up playing The Sims, and now I am furiously trying to control every aspect of my life 🤪 I could listen to these two talk all day, love u guys 🤍
Saaaaaaaame. I used Sims as a coping mechanism as a kid and now I don't know how to life
Oh my god I relate to Sarah saying that they enjoy watching someone play a game rather then playing it themselves so bad. When i was a kid my cousin would always ask me to play gta as well but i just liked watching him play it instead! Though now that I am older my senses are telling me that I was just scared of losing the game myself so id just...watch lol.
Same! I’ve watched while my husband plays so many times and I get VERY deep into the stories . Also remind him level up his stuff and characters so it feels like spotter and sniper situationship
I love people like you though, it makes playing the game so much more fun:)
Today is my late daughters due date . It’s been really rough getting through this morning . This is the only thing that made me smile and forget for a second . Thank you guys for what you do ❤
@@zodiea5289 awkward child moment
So sorry for you loss 😢
i am so sorry you’re going through that, but glad you were able to find a little solace in the podcast. i’m sure your daughter would be happy to know you were able to find a little moment of happiness. i hope you are able to experience them often, & may you find peace and healing in the days to come.
sending you lots of love mama ❤️ i hope every day that passes is better and better for you :’)
oh my goodness, I'm so sorry Kaylee. My heart just aches for you, sending you so much love.
Sarah saying "There's a gem" is so relatable cause I would do that to my older cousins when they were forced to hang out with me
I would, without a shadow of a doubt or hesitation, watch both Sarah and Brittany play games on Twitch / CZcams live.
The best part about Minecraft is the music. It’s truly underrated and a masterpiece, I listen to it all the time on walks or while working or baking, it is amazing
yes minecraft music is such good music for studying!!
the ART that is the minecraft music is /so/ good
As a manager of a seafood dept at a grocery store the hierarchy is
Meat cutters/cake designers
Dept leads (seafood, grocery, dairy, etc)
Bread/Bakery
Deli/catering
Cashiers
Recently we also started getting paid by these so called tiers as well so they clearly said who was better than each other
Hearing someone who's not Markiplier say "the bite of 87" so calmly in conversation was a bit jarring for me ngl 😂
Every single flash game and website brings back childhood memories PLEASE I can’t. I was a child with way more free time than I thought.
Them saying Stardew Valley is the most stress free sounding game is cracking me up
When your in the caverns and it’s 12 am.. STRESS
When Brittany was listing games at the 45 minute mark, and was saying "You know, it's the 50s?", I totally thought FallOut. SO glad someone was present to say something!
I love how Brittany is so knowledgeable even about things she knows nothing about and Sarah always has a funny/interesting anecdote up her sleeve
I grew up playing GTA San Andreas and conkers bad fur day with my older brother and now I sleep in a bed with no sheets and a jar of tobasco pickles on my dresser so... the games we play as kids definitely determine what kinda adult you end up as
LOL
i adore how Brittany just straight out started the podcast with an absolutely incredible alien voice ; im REALLY going -through- it at the moment but that alone made me feel better than my xanax lmao
I loved the AG ad, “anyone got seasonal affective disorder?” Brittany in the distance: “WOO!”
This podcast is one of the best things that happened this year DEADASS
I’m watching this at work and when Britney started talking in the Swedish accent I had to pause I couldn’t hold my laugh in and the office is so quiet right now
"Swedish" lol
Brittany talking about watching Michael Jones in Ragequit was not what I expected in this episode but it warmed my heart. I have a similar memory of his content from the same time period and the nostalgia is sooo what I needed rn.
No literally!! Memories of his videos when I was younger never failed to make me laugh!
“MAVUS BEACON TYPING” LITERALLY BROUGHT THOSE MEMORIES BACK SO VIVIDLY 😂😂 thank you sarah lmaooooo
as a proud former employee of hy-vee, i can confidently give you a tier list of importance in the departments of a grocery store, which is simply defined by who the manager calls out to pull carts in first. the managers default to the departments that are usually doing nothing and only call to the important departments as a last resort. from least to most important the list goes: bakery, meat department, produce, kitchen, deli, floral, customer service, and then management. thank u for your time
I always loved games like hide and seek, because I was really good at hiding in small spaces (short, and a gymnast back then). Unfortunately for me, my undiagnosed anxiety disorder didn't agree that I loved it, so almost every time I found a good hiding spot I would immediately feel my stomach start to move around and I'd spend the whole time I was hiding, desperately trying not to sht in my pants. I always thought my stomach just had really bad timing! Imagine my surprise that I was actually dealing with a severe anxiety disorder for my whole life lmao
You could make me wait a month and it would always be worth it
omfg brittany i was just explaining that lilo and stitch game to my bf i was unlocking crazy memories also the hannah montana design game i made like 12 different outfits each time
I am a middle school teacher. All I hear all day every day is these memes quotes endlessly and without mercy.
I would also like to sneak in that a lot of the “cringe culture” surround popular video games are really there to make fun of neirodivergent people. Like many thing in pop culture, there is always an -ism that things are rooted in. This one happens to be on the ableism end of the pendulum swing.
i worked at Sams Club and there was TOTALLY a heirarchy. Sarah is correct, meat was at the top (partly because they get paid so well) & i don’t remember everything in between but i remember produce was basically at the bottom because no one wanted to do that shit HAHAHA
Sarah high af trying to navigate conversation is so wonderful to watch
When Brittany and Sara started talking about poptropica and Mavis beacon, I couldn’t help but think about kidz pixs. Does anyone else remember playing that???
YES. I tried to ask my fiancée about it maybe a month ago and he had no clue. I used to stay on there for as long as I could lol
Omg memory unlocked, THANK YOUUUU ❤️🙌❤️
That Fallout fact from Sarah means that she does indeed use reddit.
13:19 Swedish
14:29 gem
16:06 basketball
48:38 Ben de la creme
This is good timing, I just watched an hour long video about the lore behind the papas franchise
I think It's really a younger sister thing to enjoy watching video games being played but not playing yourself. I remember not being able to keep up with my brother and us both getting frustrated.
We were both happier with him playing and me watching
As a big sister i can corroborate this w my little sister who used to ask me to play scary games for her or beat the ones she couldn’t figure out
Yo, that sandwich stacker game was THE BEST. Disney kid for sure, freaked me out when I found out Brittany is my older sisters age, I am so glad people my age are out here speaking the truth that disney channel games were great!
Rupaul's Drag Race: Brawl Stars is my fave show. Trixie curb stomping Violet in episode 1 was so iconic
Brittany mentioning Michael Rage Quits videos from Roosterteeth has unlocked a core memory for me!!!!
SAMEEE
I am a self proclaimed Gamer™ So this has me rollingggggg its like the furry episode all over again
the way i see your comments on every episode lmaoo💀
@@erin1912 You want an autograph?
@@starstr1ke203 pretty please
sarah's take on the seafood section is spot-on tbh. if you've ever been to an albertsons, you know that the seafood section is très fancy.
omggg I vividly remember sitting in the computer room at my grandma's house (lol remember entire rooms just for the computer) mashing the keys of her Dell desktop *YAHOO searching* "free style games" and "free dress up games" lolol I would spend hoursssss playing My Scene Games - dressing them up in different 'fits, doing their nails, and styling their hair and makeup, literally drooling over random games where you could style cartoons of celebrities in different runway looks. It was big slay. Those games spiraled into playing Nintendogs and Imagine: Fashion Designer on my Nintento DS. I also slayed on Guitar Hero and The Beatles Rockband - geez I remember staying up until 3am with that.
But my first major, major video game obsession was "Where In Time Is Carmen San Diego?" omfg I loved that game so much. That lead me into a still burning love for history-based video games like the Assassin’s Creed franchise, which is really the only thing I go gamer gurl for now.
PS: Temple Run and Trivia Crack were and are iconic games. History will remember their names.
The fact that there are people who don’t watch anime and play video games actually is so hard for me to wrap my head around. They’re so cool! There’s so many cool stories and so much fun to be had! I love video games man
been doing calculus homework and psychology notes all fucking morning and fighting with the internet in the dorms i def needed this
As someone who worked for 2 years during the pandemic in a fresh market grocery store (bakery), the convo about grocery section tier list was so funny
The grocery department at the publix I used to work at always got the final say. For us it was grocery, then deli, then produce, then customer service, then meat, and seafood was at the bottom of the food chain.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARAH!!!!!!! as someone w bpd aswell, I hope you have a wonderful and easy day tomorrow. watching your videos are the highlight of most of my days and I’m so thankful to have u here. have a beautiful year, love you sm! ❤️
OH MY GOD roosterteeth stimulated my autism brain just the right way for YEARS
yes yes yes please get twitch channels! that would bring people so much joy
The one video game I am in fact obsessed with is red dead redemption 2. Out of all the games I've started it's apart of the very few I've ever completed and I have no explanation on why I love it so much - but my guess is probably the fact that playing it at 14 has made me attached to it
Long term grocery store employee here (cake decorator, produce, deli/bakery lead) There is absolutely no hierarchy 😅 Everything comes frozen or refrigerated at the big chains so it’s all just a bunch of different versions of putting shit on a shelf. They are sucking the creativity out of cake decorating, making everything easy and accessible for any employee to do. ALL the baked goods come frozen so all that has to be done is thaw, proof, bake, and package. I’d honestly say that meat and deli are the most difficult (at least meat departments where that actually cut the meat, Walmart just puts things on the shelf). Deli employees are slicing meat and cheese, frying chicken, using the rotisserie/oven, filling the hot bars, etc etc.
It’s like the opposite of a hierarchy, everyone actually thinks their department is the worst 😂
I just had the shittiest morning, thank you for posting these always make my day ❤️
If you want to have an actual panic attack and also yell at your friends chaotically for like 10 minutes at a time then space team is an AMAZING game for you ❤
Robot Unicorn Attack on Facebook in like 2010-11 (my freshman year of college) and it was a PERIOD in my life. Erasure’s song Always (truly a bop) played on a loop in the background on the normal version, but the gag was really there was a dark/night version of the game that has a black sky & metal on loop.
Zune was a slayyyy tbh. I use to have seasons of Sailor Moon & Sky High (a true classic) and it was gang gang.
I used to work at a grocery store for 6 years in the bakery dept and let me tell you … don’t let the seafood dept fool you! Everything of theirs comes in frozen so all they have to do is steam it up. But the BAKERY. It’s not just cakes and bread so much work and prepping goes into it and don’t even get me started on holidays 😭 I eventually quit bc it stressed me out so much LMAO
I knew it was Brittanys alien voice bc theres a whole compilation of them and its honestly gold. #brittnaythealien
Brittany is coming for Trixie's gig with the Swedish accent 13:20
I worked in grocery produce! We were like heavy lifting grunts sequestered in the refrigerator moving around heavy boxes of bananas and corn. Definitely on the bottom with the other shelf stockers. Meat department and bakery at the top followed by front end and seafood would be my guess but it’s been a long time since I worked there. The ladies at the bakery seemed to be having the most fun and were the closest clique at my store.
When I didn’t see this episode come up on their page yesterday I almost had a major freak out 😂, but I waited to see if it would come up today and I’m glad I did. 😂💙
“I stopped playing basketball because I was afraid around women” 😭😭 the exact reason I dropped all my male friends
holy shit its like a minute of great content but 60 times and a half, hell yes and very excited
pls you all should do a video playing some of these that would be actual gold 😭😭 also doing an episode on twitch would kinda slay too
Yeah I shuffle the playlist for this podcast when I go to bed and it plays through the entire night every night 🤠
Woooo excited to watch this week
former Wegmans employee: pizza department was always coveted and bakery was the hardest and worst
I never really got the hang of using the video game controller, but I loved Spyro. And Frogger. And Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen Magical Mystery Mall. And Barbie Race and Ride. I would also play Nancy Drew computer games, but after a few hours, I'd be printing out the double-sided 64 page walk-through tutorial.
i played minecraft during the entire duration of this episode. i'm not kidding when i say my ideal day is just listening to violating community guidelines and playing minecraft simultaneously for hours on end. it truly has a grip on me that i cannot escape.
Let’s not forget about Stardoll, probably one of the most iconic online games to play in the late 00’s.
I love this podcast
on grocery store hierarchies: i worked at safeway as a cake decorator and the meat/seafood guys were definitely at the top of the rung. they would always get the most aprons and the largest/best facilities. then it was us at bakery then freshprep then deli imo
I feel like mentioning Pewdiepie, Jacksepticye, Markiplier, etc. would really add to the conversation because many of these games went viral because of them. Most games I know today are because I grew up watching them. Especially horror games that I was too afraid to play myself (specifically Outlast and Resident Evil 7. Those games are terrifying!)
the 'im carrying your love with me' phenomenon but with Brittany and trixie's Swedish accent
omfg you're spot on and I'm not okay
*me making a list of all the games they talked about so i can play them again and be a child*
I love that Brittany had a "Funky Jewelry" moment @13:19 . Trixie stans where you at
I LOVED Cooking Mama! It always made my mom laugh too, when I'd drop an egg or something and Mama would say "You're not mine" 😆
Thank you queens ❤
Now that y'all have covered anonymity and games, I'd love to see you guys talk about anonymous streamers/creators (like dream, corpse, and swagger souls) and Vtubers!
They did already, faceless content creators
@@gracieberendes666 that's funny bc I've watched it and scrolled through their vids to make sure it didn't already exist and still missed it lol. But they did talk a lot of parasocial relationships and the upsides of being faceless but I think they could go into the downsides and the phenomena of face reveals. Especially with Dream's face reveal most recently garnering reactions from millions of people. + Vtubers are a little different
Yall just dug up a memory for me. Im now waiting for little alchemy to finish downloading so I can get frustrated trying to make a dimond.🥰
I think if Sarah wanted to try any game they mentioned today, it should be Stardew. It’s fantastic. You can do whatever you want to make money, pretty much. You can date or marry any of the eligible characters, date all of them at once and make them all sad, eventually you find new places to explore. It’s a really fun farm simulator/adventurers puzzle game
you can also own a cat or dog and a fuck ton of farm animals, go fishing, mining, foraging, etc
I think you'll find that every sims player needs some type of help considering the horrible things we like to make our sims go through
I wanna see Stanley and have a podcast on him
animal crossing was my favorite childhood game so when it came out in 2020 during quarantine I bought a switch just to play it. I ended up meeting other players online and we made a group chat. this was like march/April right in the height of quarantine. we would FT/audio call and all get on animal crossing together. it was such a fun way to be social during the pandemic and I met so many awesome people just by taking time to escape into a game that took us away from all the crazy Covid stuff going on.
I love Sarah’s way of thinking.
Lmfao at I thought Madden was a shoe!
You guys brought back sooo much fun memories!!!
I grew up playing PvP games with my brother.
We use to play halo on legendary mode n would have such a blast. Best memories I have with him since now we’re no where near as close :(
Black ops 1&2! Best cods!!!
I can waste soooo many hours on 8ball (not iMessage but there too!)
Mini clip games bug on a wire! Bubble trouble! Blobs!!! & actually downloaded on my computer we had Oni by bu fue & we also had a Tarzan game we spent so much time on as kids. My uncle got me a PlayStation for my birthday when I was prob 13. He got me a theme park games & a Tom n jerry game I use to looooovvveeeee.
Metal gear solid, tomb raider! Harvest moon, street basketball, street football! Omg so many good games, too much to actually type out but cod & 8ball is own my life lol
Brittany saying she was into farmville feels so obvious
I love my cusband-in-law gunkle mandads 69 times removed. They slay
I can confirm there is 100% a hierarchy in working at a grocery store. We didn't have a designated seafood section, it was more like a shelf in the meat department
1. cashier/online order picker
2. garden centre
3. meat department
4. deli
5. home-wears/clothes
6. Bakery
7. Produce (the department I was in)
yessss love gaming so much and love ur opinions on it. thanks for just being honest and open and sharing some knowledge with us... yall are amazing and i love the pod
