    Just programmed two additional remotes using your video for my 2016 Suburban LTZ. I remember paying a locksmith $300 a few months after I purchased the vehicle back in 2017 when I lost one of the fobs. Today I was able to program two additional key fobs purchased on eBay for under $40! Thanks for the clear, correct, and concise video!

    I bought a used 2016 Suburban. The car dealership gave me a GMC Yukon key as a second key. It looks identical to my working key. Followed steps to a T. Got the programming lights on in the truck, but no luck. Also took it to one of those battery retail stores that programs keys/FOBs. They replaced the battery in the second key but they couldn't program it either.

      I've never programmed a GMC smart key to a Chevy but the first thing I would check is that the two remotes have the same FCC ID. You can find the FCC ID's on the inside of the remotes. Open them as you would if you were changing the batteries - if you are unsure of how to do that you can find a video on it here czcams.com/video/sF-zYy3zP5g/video.html

    You show lock & unlock buttons work, but will the program also open the tailgate buttons on the fob? Like your directions and that you went at a good pace to follow each step. Thank you.

    Probably a stupid question 😅, but by any chance… would this work without the original? We’ve been looking for my moms keys forever and still can’t find them and the replacement keys cost a fortune.

    Thank you! Worked on my '16 Chevy Suburban LTZ. Question, how do you de-program the old remote? Haven't looked/searched for a video, just thot I'd ask.

    • @PYR-Auto
      @PYR-Auto  Před 3 lety +2

      There is a 30 minute procedure that will erase all previous remotes - you can find that video here czcams.com/video/iMglvkUlHI0/video.html

    I got as far as when the inside panel says “ready for remote 2.”
    Unfortunately, I was not fast enough, and instead of programming an extra remote, I erased the original. As we speak, I’m waiting for the locksmith to arrive so I can pay him $150 to program them both.

    • @PYR-Auto
      @PYR-Auto  Před rokem +1

      There really isn't a time restriction once you get to "ready for remote 2" so there may be an issue with the second remote. Even if your original was erased you can still program it back in .

    How do I determine which fob is #1 and which is #2 for memory seats?

    • @PYR-Auto
      @PYR-Auto  Před rokem

      You'll need to use a longer produce that erases all the fobs and then the order in which your program them back in will determine the driver #. You can find a video on that procedure below. You will need to start the procedure will all the working keys far enough away from the vehicle so they cannot be detected - czcams.com/video/jBOvQExhh0A/video.html

      Put a brand new battery in the fob. Also, put the fob in the slot (same slot he shows in the video) under the console where it can detect the key, press the auto start button to start the vehicle

    • @PYR-Auto
      @PYR-Auto  Před 3 lety

      This procedure does not erase previous fobs. There is a longer procedure that does - you can find the video for that here czcams.com/video/jBOvQExhh0A/video.html
