Enjoying these videos. Thanks. One minor detail correction. In the Mute mode the top pads aren't really mutes. They actually stop the clips playing or restart them (you can see it gray out when stopped on the grid). Regardless, pressing them will stop the clip which audibly is equivalent to a mute.

Loving the series. I’ve been holding the scene select button and waiting for the store option so was great to see you can press function then store immediately. Should save a bit of time. When you are in other modes (like scatter) if you press a scene button it will bring up the scene selection buttons for about 3 seconds. Useful for live performance. ❤

I do wish there was a way to choose which mode of buttons sit above the pads when performing rather than just having the sequencing there. Dreaming of that update😂

Thank you so much for doing these. They have really helped me to see this instrument in a totally new light, despite having it for a while! I think you’ve got a unique approach to synths and these tutorials are so helpful. Thank you 🙏

Scene chain is great feature :). I'm using this mostly for transitions.

These episodes and the whole boot camp is awesome! Binge watch these while my MC-707 is in shipment. In this video, around the 9:30 point you added extra drums, are these changes stored in the scene step/slot? Can you also record motions of knobs? Does the scene or clip take priority? For instance if clip has notes and it’s a monophonic tone or if it’s a drum track and a note is added to the scene and it’s part of the mute group, which will play? Want to try, but waiting for the instrument.

The changes are stored per clip. There is no priority of scene or clip. Scenes are just collections of clips, nothing more than that. Hope that simplifies the concept.

Thank you for your approach! I’ve learnt more watching your vids than I have in the last year messing on my own and watching other tutorials. One question in knob assign there are 4 options c1 to c4. How do I access the c4 controls while playing ? There are only 3 knobs per channel. Seems hidden.
