On the first gearbox it was very hard to split apart. When I did the grease was very stiff. So before I split the 2nd gearbox, I warmed it up by soaking it for a few minutes in hot water. I had no problem splitting that one.
What is behind you with the snowblower wheels?
Can you upgrade motors to 775 on these? Is it ok to run 24 volts?
Do you have a video on the Peg Perego gator 18V battery and charger mod?

for your plastic gear boxes have you thought of a 3d printer ?
It crossed my mind but gears are so cheap and with variable speed it is typically not an issue. This build is way beyond what they are engineered for, lol. Tx for watching
Is there any way you can tell me what you used to make your own charging port and where you bought everything please ive been trying to do this to my sons Gator too

how do I wire the batteries to a 24 volt battery charger port?
First u need two 12 volt packs wired in series. Wire leads off the battery negative and positive to your charge port.

U only need the positive and neg. Plug it in and test polarity with your DMM.
Looking to fix my Grand-son's Gator which is an older one. If I change the tires and gearboxes, is it just a matter of being sure the gearboxes and tires match? (either pentagon, or cross type drive??)
Depends on which version u have. Just make sure u get the hpx wheels and not the newer xuv or u will need a new axle too.

Wire two 12 volt batteries in series.
Why do only lubricate the shafts and not the faces of the gears? Do you figure it's all going to get slung off anyway?
Yes and the most friction is where they spin around the pins
I've found one locally with spare shifter, tires, gearbox assys, etc for $40. Should I move forward with it?
