    When texas rigging a bait, you measure by the end of the hook bend and that is where you poke the hook tip through.

    So why would you rig the lighter side of the wooly bug up, and then when you fish it have the lighter side down? Check the video, that's how you did it.

      You can change the orientation based on water conditions, but it doesn’t matter too much for a bait of that profile

      @@pk246outdoors True, but generally you want to fish the lighter side down. Creatures in nature usually are lighter beneath than on top. Let's imitate nature as much as possible.

    Paddle tails work much better on jig heads. Better action, better longevity, and most importantly better hooksets.

      @@pk246outdoors you can easily rig it weedless by rigging it like you would a worm. I do it all the time and its still a better way to fish a paddle tail.
