DIY Foldable Transducer Mount

- In this video I will show you how I built my foldable transducer mount. I got the idea from the internet and just had to try it out. My previous mount were mounted on the side which would not be very reliable on angles and would easily turn when driving too fast. This new mount that I will show you will manage some speeds and still be able to be folded up when ramping or driving fast etc. One more good thing when mounting the transducer this way is that you don't have to drill any holes under the waterline! Good luck!

That's the best idea I have seen yet. I think that's what I'll aim for. Excellent idea.
Now this is what i call crafty thinking. Thanks alot
Great idea and video👍
Nice video! Can you tell me the name of the first song?
Awesome idea, thanks for the video.
Thanks for the nice comment! :)
Where did you buy the Door Mount?, please shoot me an email @ chrismatthewssr@yahoo.com
Thanks
I wish I could find this product here in the US. It would be great for making a set of collapsible wheels for transporting my inflatable boat
Very 🙂 nice
can you share your experience for performance of transducer at fish finding in this way?
Very Neat
3:15 always put washers, any weight will pull right over those screw heads
I got the same seanymph 12K, Did u do have reading problems mounting the transducer the conventional way?
underside of the transom has this double row of rivets, stiil thinking how 2 solve this problem
Hi I have the same boat and I would like to know if you have upgraded/improved the strength of your transom.
You should make a fishing channel
Why are you not using Robertson wood screws ? ;-)
Do you have the info for the door holder? Brand or where you found it? Thanks
I bought it at my local Biltema here in Sweden, it's their own branded one aswell. You can find these in a lot of hardware stores.
What does it do?
How has it worked out for you? Any problems or changes?
No problems so far, it works fine as long as you don't drive too fast and if you do you just fold it up. The only modification I made is that I added a short lace/cord in the spring that I fastened to the wood to not loose the sprint when driving.
The DIY Crab thanks. I'm thinking about going with your idea.
Nice :) it's cheap and costs you less than an hour of work so it's just to try it out :)
Cool idea. Some nylon locking nuts or lock washers would reduce the risk of the transducer coming off. Vibration might loosen regular nuts.
How much does it spray water while driving?
I've been looking for those door holders... any other identifying numbers on it so I can find them...
Idea is nice, but no such door holder at Lowes, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, Amazon, Google, etc. Package looks like Biltema is manufacturer. But their website doesn't accept English in searching nor suppliers in the US. So it can't be repeated.
1000 tack
That would never work at a higher speed it would pop up. No way to lock it down
