- As the fleet of IMOCAs approached the Kiel Fly-By, there were enormous crowds waiting for the teams. 11th Hour Racing Team was the first boat to round the mark at the German city, followed by Team Holcim-PRB and Biotherm. GUYOT environnement - Team Europe and Team Malizia with their German sailors wrapped up this incredible day in the Sailing City.

I'm so happy to see Team Guyot back in the race again.
So very pleased that so many spectators were out in full force to greet the yachts. Amazingly, the regional TV reported live for 3 full hours, quite unique. Super, that all five teams are competing again. That's how it should be. The best of luck to all sailors. May they arrive safe and sound in Scheveningen.

I'm jealous. I went to Newport on Saturday to see the in port race just to learn that it got cancelled. Anyway it was great to see the boats. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay till Sunday when they left.

Great show, amazing to watch 😃 very good idea to sync and show up into a major sailing event ;-) reminds me of the excitement of Bosphorus Cup where the boats had to fight upwind and then back the narrow strait!

Being in the US, and somewhat obsessed with following the OR for many years, I can't help but wish we could have watched the entire live stream here in the States. I understand financials probably constrained the media licensing but ,for future additions, I hope things can return closer to what we had in the previous edition or even OR-Europe.

It is one of the largest sailing events in the world, and the largest in europe and has existed for over 100 years. It is also the largest volksfest in northern europe.
