Thank you so much for your wonderful teaching! I am a 72 years old Korean woman and living in Florida USA, 4 years ago my husband and my daughter had medical issue almost at same time and because of that I was so stressed out and diagnosed with depression. 2 years ago I started to painting for healing my depression. I watched youtube artist, listened to them and bought so many paints within tight budget. I was so frustrated and confused about never can make their color, and few days dgo I found you on youtube. you save my time and money. I study with you a week, I can already see many artists colors without their color recipes. I can' say enough thank you to you. You are also beautiful and funny. Thank for your hard and kind work. Have wonderful New Year with many many blessings!

But I'm busy with painting, very nice to do, other people like the results, that is a stimulation for me to still doing this, thanks for the lessons! Gerda

Cinnamon, I have been watching pieces of this amazing color mixing video over the past week. LOVE IT! And I am ...at this moment... at the point where you talk about your kids... I have 6 and I was 41 when I got pregnant with my 6th...we have 5 boys and a lil girl now. What a treat! I was 25 with my first and every pregnancy was different...even carrying all the boys were different too...definitely my daughter. Good for you being an older mom starting out. I feel like I was a better mother as I mellowed with age. Thankfully my oldest two are very resilient and patient and loving. Thank you for all the info in this video AND the visit and sharing here. Huge hugs and art love!

I love exploring with colors, I sat down and mixed all of mine for weeks when I started, just to get to know them, thanks to you 💜 and I got sucked down the rabbit hole BIG TIME, but it made me realize that you don´t need 5-6 tubes of different reds, yellows, blues, greens and so on, mixing is like magic! :D sure, I do splurge every now and then on colors I actually don´t need, but it´s because I´m lazy at times ;)
These lessons are amazing, not only do you save money, but it makes you see that you can mix just about anything!

@@TheArtSherpa no, thank YOU so much ❤️ this is such an incredibly useful video, you've taught me so much since I started painting with you in 2020. I would never have started painting if it wasnt for you. I am slowly but surely growing as an artist with your tuition, and have almost completed all of the acrylic april 2020 paintings, and I intend to continue on to the next acrylic april classes as soon as I'm finished. Your free videos have given me so much more than just art education, my self confidence & self esteem has improved so much as I allow that inner child who always wanted to paint, to actually do it. For the first time ever I am going to exhibit my paintings in a local exhibition at the end of August, something I would never have considered before and its all down to you and your wonderful gift of free art education. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you truly are an example of how we can all make the world a better place in our own unique way ❤️❤️❤️❤️

You mention color space and an artist who did a 3d rendering of it and how dioxazine purple wasn't really across from yellow around 11 minutes in that blew my mind.
Do you have a link or name perchance? I tried googling and went down a huge rabbit hole of different color space charts which there seemed like hundreds of and didn't see one where it was off by itself. 😂

Thank you very much for this long and very well explained video about mixing colours! Excellent 👌 While I watched it, I made my own book of colours. The only colour I can't achieve is chromatic black from blue and red. I have no fancy expensive paints, so that might be there weakness.

I did that same thing when I first tried to paint and it was with oils one time and didn’t know color theory bought hidden primaries and that oils take forever to dry lol 😂 I ended up throwing the painting way the canvas sheet got paint everywhere lol

Watch some of my videos on painting water in a glass jar. You don't paint clear water. You paint rections in the water. This video may also help czcams.com/video/kwHvjKhipXo/video.html and czcams.com/video/gQR4-R6VAwc/video.html 💚

Cinnamon I follow your mom closely and can’t keep up with you but I love you madly. Only got to see an hour of this live today when you started The Greens! I’m trying to get this question answered, Ginger didn’t get to it this week. Can you please answer: I notice you and ginger tend to use almost exclusively the ‘burnts’ vs the ‘raws.’ Why do you prefer and what’s the difference btw the raws and burnts? Are any of these close to what ginger calls ‘mummy brown?’ Why do you use these browns and not van dyke brown? Phew- thank you. You partially answered it in the beginning saying they were both dirt but why your preference? Ty🌷

Hi Mary - The Raws tend to bias as a yellow and go more to the deeper value in burnt like reds. So raw Seinna is a lighter color and almost more yellow then ochre in some lines. Mummy Brown is only in museums now. Mummy brown is a rich brown between burnt umber and raw umber and is sometimes called Egyption brown but that is a little gross considering what it was made of . I think when mom says she mean a zombie undead brown but you will have to ask her. I have Van dyke brown ( much loved by the BOB) I feel as a color it is better in oils and watercolors then acrylic. Is the peet? I am not sure but I just like that red Bias in the Burnt Sienna. Hope that is helpful

Another question- it seems that you prefer the burnts over the raws when it comes to sienna and umber. I notice Ginger seems to also. Why is this?
