"The ingenuity of the writing was quite dazzling: so was the playing - the expertise of Mo’s near- instantaneous transitions from one style to another was often startling and always impressive”

Following a year of cancelled plans, cancelled music and cancelled art for players and listeners, it was a joy to perform alongside Olivia as part of the Constella Christmas Gala, a concert programme designed to bring a gorgeous varied programme of music into people's homes for Christmas. Both Olivia and I have been part of a wonderful initiative by Constella "Connecting Stars' and we and a team of dancers and actors, have performed live concerts online to care homes around the country since the very first lockdown in March 2020.
The Connecting Stars project aims to alleviate two urgent problems presented by the Covid-19 pandemic: loneliness amongst care home residents isolated from their support network and the immense financial difficulties faced by artists whose industry has come to a standstill. Through one-to-one virtual concerts some of the most vulnerable people in society have had access to interactive and personalised performances from some of the UK’s most exciting creatives who will be paid for their work.

With the support of Sir Willard White and your generous donations we have delivered 115 performances reaching nearly 1,000 care home residents across the UK. We are delighted that Arts Council England have endorsed our efforts and awarded us £15,000. This will be invested to increase our roster of artists to 20 musicians, dancers and actors and widen our reach across the country.

If you would like to help, we are always grateful to receive donations.

Bravo Ms Mo. Its amazing because when you play, it brings me straight back to the class room when you would go through the songs with me to 100% accuracy and relentlessly press the chord hand positions into my head. After I gained a bit of confidence, You took off the spots from my violin and told me that I cant rely on them. and my skill improved a little bit day by day! Then I think you allowed me to play in quartet which was really cool! Thank you for being so patient with me back then. You are truly a master!
