- This video explains a District Cooling System and the process of a District Cooling Plant. It includes the concept of Refrigeration, Refrigeration Cycle, Types of Cooling Systems, Direct Expansion (DX) Cooling Systems (Window AC & Split AC), Air-Cooled & Water Cooled Chillers, Air Handling Units (AHU), Fan Coil Unit (FCU), Chilled Water Pumps, Cooling Towers, Side Stream Filtration, Benefits of District Cooling, Plate Heat Exchangers (PHEX), Pressure Independent Control Valves (PICV), Insulated Pipes, Air Separator, Chemical Dosing System, Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE), Reverse Osmosis (RO), Ultra Filtration (UF), Expansion Tank, Decoupler Line, Bypass Line, Thermal Energy Storage (TES) Tanks, BTU Meters & Network Valve Chambers. It also discusses District Cooling Plant Electrical Layout, Fire Fighting System, FM200 System, UPS & Central Battery System, Access Control System, CCTV, PLC SCADA. There is also a brief description of the District Heating System at the end of the video.

I like that you teach step by step from basic cooling system to District cooling.
This presentation is so good. Thank you.👍👍
Thank you very much for your feedback!
As a district cooling plant engineer myself, I must say this video is very informative. Hats off to you! 🎉🎉
Thank you very much for your feedback. It means a lot!
Very good description you should always give posts like this 👍😊
Thank you for your valuable feedback.
The presentation was just awesome Hats off Concept was upto the mark Thanks

Subscribed! Great video. Thank you!
Thanks for the kind feedback and subscription.
Thank you very much! I am not aircond courses but can understand the concept. Before this I dont know what to learn about DCS. Now, after watching this whole video 30 minutes I can figure out and understand the system also know what can be learn during this internship(now).
Happy to hear positive feedback. Kindly share with your colleagues also for whom this might come in handy.
Great work, Keep it up..
Thanks for the kind feedback.

Thank you, Saif!
Masha Allah nice presentation.
Thank you for your appreciation!
Thank you Faiz
Thank you for your valuable feedback.
Thank you
You are welcome!
Thanks, explain about DCS.
Thank you, Aqib, for the comment!
Nice video brother, make a complete video on live dcp explanation of each and everypart
Thanks for the feedback. Surely will make a more detailed video later with the live working of each component.
How to calculate DCS process cooling total water capacity in buffer storage? please.
Hi there, I was a member of the construction management team for the DCS project. While I don't have expertise in design, I can try to help with your question to the best of my ability. From my understanding, DCS systems can vary in type. The system we used was a closed-loop system with a variable primary-secondary pump system, hence there weren't any requirements for buffer tanks. However, we utilised Thermal Energy Storage (TES) tanks to improve chiller efficiency and manage peak loads.
How can I get the slides
It is a masterpiece 👍
Hi anyone please advise, the district cooling estimated load for 1 building( ie: an apartment building required 1000TR (3500kW)= DC Plant load of 3500/5(cop)=700kW). This 700kW is the total energy consumption including the ETS and DCP load ? Or do we need to add a separate power consumption for the both ETS and DC plant’s mechanical load??? If someone have the actual energy consumption rule of thumb, please comment…
Is TES tanks are using in dubai district cooling plants
Yes. TES Tanks are there in most of the District Cooling Plants in UAE. Depends on the load requirement of the community it serves, Plants can have either only Air-Cooled Chillers or a Combination of Air & Water Cooled Chillers or a Combination of Water Cooled Chillers & TES Tanks.
and also change you channel name because it wil give more views when we search on youtube about this topic.
