They could address the loot goblin issue by oh i dont know... By having the only player who killed the one who could loot the body. Like they already their system identify who killed who. Why not use that to also avoid goblins Like a text would say "*name* was killed by *name*"
Then its up to the killer if he wants to share the loot or not. If the killer got killed by other players(not teammates), the loot he gathered is up for grabs to everyone Its really that simple
