Kyrie and Luka both elevated their games of each other, they are really vibing together, hugging, Luka running off the bench to pick up Kyrie, if you watch for it you see it all the time. Luka playing at a better pace and he is better at playing off the ball. Kyrie got better at passing and you can just see him pulling off a Luka move here and there too, sometimes with his own spin on it...

Luka always liked to dominate 1st Qtr & 3rd. Kyrie historically dominates the 2cnd & 4th Qtr. It's a no brainer. Luka is the battering ram early, the Full back paving the way, Kyrie swings in like a Scat Back. Thunder n Lightning.
But Porzingis came and wouldn't give in to that. Carlisle asked KP to come out early in 1st Qtr, so he can come back with the bench and feast, when Luka sits. He refused in public, via press conf.

I can’t believe that Keyshawn actually made more sense than Paul when talking about basketball. Jalen Brunson was a beast in the 2022 playoffs. He went off and scored 41 against the Jazz one game. The Mavs reached the Western Conference Finals that year, Then he left in the offseason for the Knicks, and the Mavs picked up Kyrie at the trade deadline, and missed the playoffs (by tanking to keep their lottery pick). I think Paul is confused.

Some similarities in terms of using strength to gain leverage, but Pierce was a far superior catch and shoot player and had some of the best footwork in nba history.

The reason both have similarity is because they have similar physiology: not the most athletic so need ways to compensate that.

Brunson was the 2nd best player in that playoff run, maybe he wasn't the 2nd choice before entering the playoff but he's the player who stepped up in that time. I remember Luca going down to injury and he carried them in a playoff series.

When we say clutch, does this mean defense, rebounding and passing too? If it’s not specified, clutch means hitting outside shots (2s & 3s), inside shots, free throws, rebounds, passing and defending (steals, blocks, etc). When you factor that all in, they are other clutch duos I would put before the Mavs tandem.

The Celtics have 4 healthy all-star caliber guards/wings. The Mavs have 1 healthy all-star guard/wing. And another slightly injured all-star guard/wing. But they seem to be improving their game by the day. The Celtics match-up well in that department, but the Mavs seemingly have a momentum going.
The Celtics have an all-star caliber big man coming off an injury. If he's healthy enough, the Celtics play consistent and efficient basketball. If he's injured enough, the Celtics play risky, inconsistent, basketball.
2 legtimate and skilled point guards on the court at the same time is very difficult to defeat unless the other team has 6 players on the court. now do your math.
I have Kyrie as a shooting guard. And initially Luka was a small forward for the Mavs. Maybe he's transitioning to a guard now. Probably not a point guard, though.
