    Love it! Thanks for sharing :3 I would love to see a video where you do a voice over with your thought process when you’re studying a picture to turn it into a painting. I know at this point most of it is probably very intuitive to you, but I’d still be interested! :P how you choose where to begin, which plains go where and how many layers you’re going to do, what colors to lay down first and how to choose the colors. Idk, is that lame? Haha

    Hi I am a young artist and I have 2 questions the first is that as a young artist (13) when should I start learning about the anatomy of people and animals and the second question is that when I grow up I want to be a character designer for somewhere like Pixar but I don’t wether I should start to learn to draw in that sort of animation type style or draw realistically or something else it would be really great if you could help me out

    Do you know if it’s possible to animate a short film on an iPad that would look just as good as doing one on a computer? If so, are there any animation apps you’d recommend for iPad?
    Also, what’s the best iPad for animating that’s affordable, but also works great? I always hear the iPad Pro is good, but the pricing scares me.😅

    • @lulusketches
      @lulusketches  Před 3 lety +5

      I don't animate much, but the one animation program I've used on the ipad is called RoughAnimator! ipads don't have as much storage space or ram as a computer, so it probably can't handle big animation files. however the new ipad coming out this year has an impressive amount of ram (it's also hella expensive, you could get a computer for less). but if you're just doing short animations, rough animator is great!

    • @ovo2185
      @ovo2185 Před 3 lety +3

      I animate in Procreate and I think it looks great! I’ve only used procreate for animation so I couldn’t recommend other apps, the IPad Pro Is great but it’s not necessary! I use a smaller IPad and it works as well (and is also cheaper than an IPad Pro) but it all depends in your budget and your preferences! ✨♥️ Good luck ✨

    Hey Laura, do you think an iPad would be a good substitute for a Cintiq? I'm currently on the go much so something portable would be nice, but I have no idea if it's good enough compared to the powerhouse Photoshop on a Cintiq is.

    • @chaoluv041
      @chaoluv041 Před 3 lety +3

      Most people use the iPad pro as a portable alternative! I'm currently looking into buying one so I can work out of my house more. I hear procreate is just as good as using photoshop on pc and csp also released a version of their program for iPads.

    • @lulusketches
      @lulusketches  Před 3 lety +5

      hey! iPads currently are not a substitute for professional work, but I have a feeling this iPad being released this year may be able to handle larger professional files. the iPad is an amazing alternative for smaller files though. apps like Procreate limit your layers to keep the file size down and the app working without freezing, but procreate is a simplified app aimed at beginners and cannot do nearly as much as photoshop can. there are also apps like art studio pro that resemble photoshop and don't limit layers (but will slow down inevitably with larger files). there is still no perfect mobile alternative to the powerhouse Photoshop is on any tablet connected to a computer, but I have high hopes for the new ipad. that being said, the price of the new ipad pro is ridiculous- I could get a better, faster computer for less! I might have to invest in it since my current ipad is getting old though! nothing beats making digital art WHILE lying on the couch 😆

    • @lulusketches
      @lulusketches  Před 3 lety

      I just paint the colors I see! don't be afraid if they're not perfect, everyone's eyes see things differently. and I also like to mix colors on the canvas by turning the opacity down and then selecting the mixed color to paint with, I find it makes the painting more cohesive personally!
