Also, Thomas Ian Griffith does a fine job of incorporating the PTSD into his delivery. Just a fine actor all round. The rest of the cast will be working overtime trying to keep up with the pace he's setting
Hands down the BEST part of season 4 for me. And to think, Thomas Ian Griffin retired from acting years ago, and he was cautious about coming back as Terry Silver.
I think he was only cautious about it because he wanted Terry to be done right and didn’t want his final return to be ruined. Good thing this series was the best thing to ever happen to Terry Silver.
I think this is the best season because of Terry what an actor. I thought he was alright in KK 3 but in this season he was unbelievable. He made the season way better. Season 1 and 2 are still great 👍. Thank you
I’m glad you saw the fact that terry silver is an incredible underrated character. Sucks he had to betray kreese but when you set the animal loose from his cage, that’s what happens. Glad you enjoyed this season.
Not only that, Thomas Ian Griffith actually made the character into who Terry Silver is. The Karate Kid 3 writer had to re-write Terry as a martial artist after finding out that Griffin actually holds a black belt in both taekwondo and kenpo-karate.
Silver knows in his heart that he doesn't want to be involved in get rid of Daniel LaRusso and bringing back Cobra Kai. But dark past forced him to. After he declared that wants to shed his weakness, he needs to get rid of Kreese. Silver kept his sacred vow to Kreese. And gave him what he wants. But he is tired of being Kreese's genie.
Sometimes friends or family do something that's so life impacting for the other but they become so entitled that they put the guilt card it can last yrs until the persons had enough
No. Nothing forced him. He chose. His talking about Kreese manipulating him is an excuse. If you're aware that someone is manipulating you to get what they want, you don't have to play. He made his choice.
Man, how did Terry manage to both become a more grounded character (addressing the role that cocaine played in his KK3 antics for instance), while also still being All In on being the Terry we all know and love from the original film? CK really putting on a clinic for how to modernize an old classic without tainting it - genuinely improving it if anything.
Many times with drugs your brain associates certain behaviours with it. Meaning, the moment his thought process shifted to old ways, that he was surrounded by cobra kai, he probably got the urges, started on cocaine again, which perpetuated his behaviour. A vicious cycle.
@@TrainmasterCurt Well for one he’s going to use the footage from the flagship dojo and have Daniel held accountable for trespassing alongside with Johnny Chozen and Barnes and maybe take a toll of the dealership as well and team up with Tom Cole since Amanda consent Daniel to fight Silver
Terry Silver is evil, very charismatic, smart, powerful, strong, cool, sexy and really gorgeous. He's always been so. I love this character. And obviously I love Thomas Ian Griffith too! 💕
After doing MMA for almost a year, I can confidently tell you that no one fights pace for pace and choreographed like in the show. I’ve fought and sparred national champions in taekwondo, war veterans, and black belts with anywhere from 5 to 30 years of experience and I’m saying that those guys always keep their hands up and are always able to answer back to anything you throw at them
Im thinking there will be more flashbacks of terry silver showing us how he went from an innocent young man into the cocky, manipulative, intelligent mad man In karate kid 3. So itll more than likely be that
That realization " i spent months terrorizing a highschool kid over a karate tournament, i mean who does that" something us adults who watched the films as kids can understand.
Tory: “Won’t I get disqualified?” Terry: “Why? She ran into your elbow. Not your fault right? Tory: “Right:” Terry: “Well she can’t continue. That means you win!! Haha! You like that Miss Nicholas?” Tory: “No I don’t! I don’t need to cheat to win!” Terry: “S**t. That ‘he/she ran into your fist’ line worked on Danny Boy.”
Terry talking to Daniel about being a "hothead" and saying that he's always had Cobra Kai in him is one of the best examples of gaslighting in movie history. Daniel was the absolute opposite of everything Silver said he was, infact Daniel was even scared of Barnes and didn't want any trouble from him right until he had absolutely no choice but to sign up for the Tournament, and he didn't "like it" one bit - he HATED what Silver did to him (an example is how guilty he felt after busting that guy's nose in the night club). It was only Myagi that saved Daniel from going completely under, and it was Myagi that brought out what was always inside Daniel, not Silver (hence Daniel won the tournament and foiled Silver's revenge plot), all Silver did was mess with his head for a revenge plot. That's literally it. Yet here, he almost makes it sound like he did Daniel a favour and helped him find his "power" and potential - and the worst (best) bit is that if you hadn't seen the past episodes you wouldn't know whose version of events to believe in that little exchange, as Silver sells his gaslighting really well and makes himself seem genuine. Terry is definitely a con-man (and a good one imo), Daniel is right about that.
NOPE.....but superficial little dullards will only see the most superficial narrative. Daniel always had rage inside him. You could see it from the moment Johnny pushed him down in the sand. Jumped up to fight with a snarl. When things were finally calming down, who doused Johnny in the showers - he did. He raged on his mother. He raged on Miyagi repeatedly. He would say cocky and arrogant quips quite frequently. He was a loser - and that's good. Had he the wealth, power, and ability of Johnny and his gang, he would have been the worst one. Ever see Johnny and the cobra kai's go off on a kid like that in the nightclub? Even though they could have at any time? NOPE. They got along well with everyone at school - except Danielle who tried to put himself into their business. Danny LOVED raging, he love the power, and that's why Silver's lines ring true. Don't believe me? Too stupid to realize it yourself? WHY DO YOU THINK MIDDLE-AGE DANNY BOY HAD NO RESPONSE? BECAUSE HE KNEW IT WAS TRUE. Yet here you have prissy apologists denying it for him! lol lol lol.

@@andyseabrookfitness8693 Silver has a lot of issues, and luckily they were buried deep inside him. But Kreese just had to dig it all up and it came back to bite him.

Terry Silver is the best thing about season 4, much like the third Karate Kid film. He's Cobra Kai's version of Griffith/Femto, considering the chemistry between him and Kreese. Unlike Griffith, who eventually lost his mind after Guts' departure from the Band of the Hawk, Silver instead betrays Kreese and takes Cobra Kai for himself.

I love how they wrote Terry's story in Cobra Kai during S3. They wrote a 3-dimensional character beyond how he was in KK3. It was awesome and full of great surprises. I didn't see that betrayal of Kreese coming. Those two were thick as thieves but you didn't realise how Silva was really feeling deep down being under Kreese's thumb for years.
I think it's way too awesome that Terry kept his long hair! The pony tail. That's a very 80's thing and when he was in his prime. he stayed true to himself. I cut mine in the late 90's lol . I hope this new Karate kid movie turns out good. I don't know if he's in it or not?
Does anyone feel like we are missing a key piece of terrys past ??? Like something that must of happened just after Vietnam but before KK3 EDIT For example we thought kreese was only bad because of his experience in Vietnam we only found out later that his mom killed herself , his Gf died and he killed his captain.. maybe silver had something similar happen to him after the war that changed him from being the afraid skinny guy to the psycho we see in KK3
@@thegoatbros3799 eventually when he's pressed in the next season maybe. Hey know who else sting reminds me of too? Murph in Problem Child .. or like senior trip when the senator used him.. told him to keep his mouth shut about things.
I think Terry’s sick because the chef asked, “Should I call the doctor?” Then, in Season 5 you see him in the elevator at the hospital. I wonder if it isn’t cancer.
I feel redemption is coming too late for Kreese, he came to an old war buddy and thought he could even the score to get back at Daniel and Johnny, but eventually, he released the old Terry Silver and now it back fired on him.
I know a lot of people will simply blame Kreese, and it's understandable. But do not forget, that Silver made a choice too. Of his own volition. It's easy to say that if Kreese never came back and manipulated him, he'd still have a good life. Maybe. Maybe not. His choice was a sign of something he never truly resolved. Of what he never truly let go of. In a way, this is a test. If he truly had dumped Cobra Kai, then all he needed to do was simply not make excuses and not go to Kreese. Or he could go to Kreese still and just firmly let him know that he's done. And say it with true confidence. And just walk out. No regrets. In order for that to happen, he'd have to realize how good he has it. And truly how good he has it. That or he can just still walk away and decide it's not worth it to come back. Now. If he were to walk out, he can also offer something. Let Kreese know that if and when he decides to accept help, give him a call and he'll try to set him up. After all, that's what true friends do. Even if they've distanced from each other. It is tragic that Silver gave it all up. But perhaps his time in prison will get him to consider what he's thrown away and hopefully turn away again from the life that he tried to relive. But given the writing, that's probably not going to happen. Who knows.
I'll leave it at?, " Get the Point!, Get the Point! ", then Kreese throwing Cobra Kai t shirts!, into the " Daniel!, Daniel?" crowd!, the rest is Days of our lives?.
What Daniel should’ve asked was “Why did Silver have to come back now after 34 years?” Kreese would’ve made the same choice at a different point in time, but instead he thought of Doubling their strategies to defeat Eagle Fang and Miyagi Do.
I felt pitty for Silver, as he kept trying to avoid Kreese and tried to not fall back into his crazy Persona. He knew how dangerous it was to become that Person again.

Thomas was so damn good as Terry in Seasons 4 & 5 you would’ve thought this was still 1989😂🔥.
Asa-hh!!
3:50 the beast has awoken from its slumber
Stingray might as well be the new snake
He’ll do anything for cobra Kai but he will realize the dark version of it and will snitch on silver
@@thegoatbros3799 eventually when he's pressed in the next season maybe. Hey know who else sting reminds me of too? Murph in Problem Child .. or like senior trip when the senator used him.. told him to keep his mouth shut about things.
He was the worst character
2:07 lol 'we're we're with the vipers' ehhh IYKYK
I think Terry’s sick because the chef asked, “Should I call the doctor?” Then, in Season 5 you see him in the elevator at the hospital. I wonder if it isn’t cancer.
Cobra Kai is one of my favorite shows
Terry silver is way more crazier and evil than kreese
He wasn’t at first, but KREESE bringing up the war and triggering his trauma is what set terry to become that evil and crazier person than kreese.
@@thegoatbros3799 I always believe that he was more insane then Kreese he was simply just hiding his true and his most preferred personality
@@Goodbyestou That’s good.
Terry and his halleluyah moment
so he is the leader after all...nice...😊 such a badass character.
Krese: PTSD.
Silver: PTSD and Psyopathic Disorder.
thank you so much 💖
7:50 this is the moment I’d been waiting for since the show started 😈😈
Anyone who thinks we should see a kresse vs silver fight in season 6 ✋️
Hell yeah. That's all that's missing and it's something we haven't seen so that is amazing too
Without the ponytail look, Terry Silver kinda looks like the Superman Villain the Toyman.
Terry was one of the GOAT villains
13:05 is just cruel to bring that up.
he paid for that...and deserved it
Kreese words of wisdom and Silver's money are the only reasons why Cobra Kai won. With John out of the picture, Silver is fucked.
I feel redemption is coming too late for Kreese, he came to an old war buddy and thought he could even the score to get back at Daniel and Johnny, but eventually, he released the old Terry Silver and now it back fired on him.
Three or four of these scenes were in some of my dreams
Cobra kai must go on
I know a lot of people will simply blame Kreese, and it's understandable.
Who knows.
All this over a karate tournament in 84.
I'll leave it at?, " Get the Point!, Get the Point! ", then Kreese throwing Cobra Kai t shirts!, into the " Daniel!, Daniel?" crowd!, the rest is Days of our lives?.
3:50!
ASAAAA!!!
Silver is the best .He’s favorite in Karate Kid 3.
Im telling u this scene could be Ra's AL Ghul and Damien Wayne fr I could see these actors playing that and looks like grandad and grandson moment
In Terry Silvers word Ah-Sa!!
I blame Kreese for what Silver did because Kreese was the one doing the instigating. Silver was all in for living a normal life but it was disrupted.
Young Terry Silver,(Nick Marini) looks like old Terry Silver,(Thomas Ian Griffin)
Good stuff bro
silver is a good sensei on his good side....but his dark side was always bigger, his personality disorder got him.
Kreese is so passive aggressive its insane lol
I hope johnn kresse becomes good in season 6 and joins a better dojo like miyagi do karate
I'm guessing he's after Danny and Johnny for using him while he was in jail
I like Silver
