I like this version of Sally, when she actually had principles and would occasionally tare someone a new arsehole. They ruined the character when they turned her into Hyacinth Bucket.

I'm actually surprised she isn't crazier in the circumstances, Brian was her whole world, I didn't think she would be able to function at all when he died.
She was ALWAYS round the twist!
Poison Ivy was always a curmudgeon, Bert was too kind for her. But yes, this is her spiralling into her religious fervor.
And let's not forget, she appeared to Vera when Vera was walking around Ivy's house after Ivy died. Even after death, she had to prove her belief was right.

Seeing Tommy Boyle as Phil Jennings inspired me to go back to the 70s and watch him as Frank Bradley with Bet. That was such a good storyline with some amazing acting from Goodyear and Boyle. That whole episode where they’re in the abandoned house gave me chills. Anyway, just reminiscing when the performances were better.

I miss the old Mike, forever having a go at the girls in the factory for not working hard enough. He was cunning in business but had a sensitive, good hearted side too. Here he's cold and ruthless, and dopey Alma seems to think that's great. She should have been questioning how loyal he'd be to her.

I hate how Deidre evolves into a yelling and screaming unhappy person... Explains a lot about Tracy's personality.
I'm thinking the perming of her beautiful hair had something to do with it.

Well she lost it in a few years time to chemotherapy and her wig/Rashid years were upon us.
But today, Tracey would've been taken into care, both parents dysfunctional, angry and manipulating. Tracey adopted those traits and look what she did.
That perm was horrible drearys viens in the neck and her eyes popping out

My Mum turned up at school looking for me when I was in grade 11. The head mistress escorted her to my class and I was nowhere to be found. Where was I? At the cinema ❤.
@@cicerodiello1 I remember when I was 14 and still at school I thought I was all grown up and my mam heard I was smoking and truanting from school so one day when I was actually in school I seen my mam from classroom window marching into school she must have asked someone at reception what lesson I was in because she came barging into the room and I hid under the table lol 😂 before she could grab me…we still talk about it now 40+ years later and laugh 😂 because at the time it was funny 😄 but my mam didn’t think 🤔 it was funny 😁

We've entered the era of insufferable youth. Tracy is like a broken record with "me dad" every five seconds and constantly in a mood and I don't think Jenny has ever been honest once in her life.

The actress playing Tracey is appalling and it’s so distracting. I’d understand the lack of effort in finding a decent child actor if they’re only sitting at the kitchen table eating cornflakes like the Platt kids but she was hired in 1988, I assume with the intention of giving Tracey a storyline. Do the producers just nip down to the nearest Comp when acting chops extends beyond cornflake-eating?

The scripts are fantastic, but I really wish they wouldn't mix up 'infer' and 'imply' - such details are important, and part of the reason the UK is in such a mess. 😂

Well here in England we still haven't had snow in July and no heatwaves in January.
I was in primary school at this time and remember the school being obsessed with the hole in the ozone layer.
It was mentioned so far as I can remember on TV, on Blue Peter and the effect CFC's had on the ozone. Aerosols etc.
Peter was very satisfied with Sandra’s unpaid overtime.
