This was a month when the comedy writing and acting were first class!
I remember 80's & 90's fashion pretty well, but I'd forgotten about these early 90's horrendous patterns, there's some eye-popping ones this month, Des & his wife in the pub watching Nigel Ridley, all 3 corkers ;-)

Lynne Perrie and Geoff Hinsliff apparently didn’t like each other offset, but the chemistry between them onscreen was brilliant. Two superb actors!
I watched an interview with Charles Lawson (Jim McDonald) and he said Lynee Perrie and Liz Dawn didn't get along with each other also but yet Vera and Ivy are great friends on screen.
Bett was a class act!

Thanks so much for uploading all of these! Watching them again is a real tonic and superbly entertaining. So many laugh out loud moments. My personal favourite on this months episodes is 2:35:54 between Mike and Ken. Mike jibbing him about small print on his clever clogs newspaper and Ken firing back with “that’s because I don’t need space for my finger” . Classic !

Bet as been nothing but nice to Tina in the past but now Tina is treating bet like dirt on her shoe ! I don’t blame bet telling Tina to “get out”!

Tina had a complete personality transplant for her final days. She was always a bit wild but seemed to be a good person and up for fun. She became very nasty all of a sudden.
Also, I can't understand why the Gilroys are suddenly fearful of Nigel Ridley. They have recently triumphed over him and they have the full support of his uncle.
Maybe the actor wanted a quick exit, because such a sudden change in a character who had become quite established with a recognisable personality, isn't feasible.
She was a hobby bore fest🥱

Ivy claims she didn't know Bet had a son, but in an earlier episode from the 80s', Annie Walker told her that she had a son who was killed after Bet became upset in the bar.

Liz went from dowdy, bland ex-Squaddie’s wife to a joke.
Audrey really is a piece of work. Jim wasn't interested, so she runs to hubby with a story she knows will make him react how he did. So childish, and shows her true colours. She never grows out of it to.

I think Vera is taller than all the men. , Ivy is considerably shorter which makes Vera look taller. It certainly was an era for short men. Anne Kirkbride was quite tall also. I had to giggle when she was in scene filmed from across the street. She wore flat shoes and Johnny Briggs was still struggling to match her. I don’t know the heights of Liz Dawn and Lynne Perrie but it looks like 5’10” for Liz Dawn. Lynne Perrie was closer to Five feet perhaps? Not sure.
