    Really appreciate you making this! We get the same questions too, so we'll certainly be sharing your video. One other obvious difference is the VU meters on all channels, which are also configurable either pre-fader or post-fader.

      Thank you for the great product! In addition to the VU meters, I also forgot to talk about the VCA mode (configurable via jumper), which is a really nice feature.

    What about the sound? Which one sounds more professional.

    Hard decision what with a PM2 in the works. Fixes a lot of things but still PM2 fx sends will be mono looks like. I really like the stereo sends here!

    Definitely a good module that add some cool features. Not sure we really need all that stereo inputs but transforming it in a crossfade help to merge two mono in one that gives more mono inputs. One thing I appreciate in the WMD PM is the way it was conceived. They certainly made some choices to make it very compact. Also I love the inserts at the end of the chain and the cue output that I use to send specific channel to the sidechain of compressor.

    You can add one extra eqx5 for each of the two mix busses - together with the output module you have a classic stereo strip with 3 sources to choose or mix :) How are the mix busses selected? Per channel on the backside with a jumper?

      There's a front-side switch on each channel to select the mix bus... it's the A-B switch right above the square mute button on each channel.

    Hi, thanks for this video! I'm wondering how the Xcelon responds to driving the inputs hard? I see you are peaking the inputs 1 & 2 in this video. Is there any nasty clipping when you drive the inputs very hard, or possibly some pleasant drive or color? I'm thinking if picking this up to replace the mixer in our live setup and we like to run things hot.

      Yeah good question. It's all analog circuitry so there is no hard digital clipping that produces anything truly nasty. You'll get an analog saturation effect if you drive it hard -- is it pleasant? I think that may depend on what kind of signal you are putting in but yeah I think you might consider it "color".

    What is that light module to the left of the mixer?

    • @bluenautilus
      @bluenautilus  Před 7 měsíci

      It's the Vaski lights module. www.vaski.nl/product/lights-stereo-visualizer-black/
