“I'm very optimistic. I’m going into the 800 ready to showcase my new speedsuit and I’m ready to show everyone what I can do as a pro. My goal is to PR in every event. I don’t want people to think now that I’m pro I’m not going to get better. I feel like I’ll continue to improve and I’m super excited.”

I’m so glad for Eric. The Olympic Trials didn’t exactly turn out the way he had hoped. He fully went all-in with this running career thing. I’m glad something worked out. I wish him well.

Coach Troutmann is doing great work as his coach. Made him believe anything is possible with the belief system that he has the talent & motivation to reach the highest levels of the sport. Holt is an inspiration to all of us and I thank Puma for stepping up & believing in this fine young man when others passed on him. First opportunity over 4th of July Holiday, I’m heading to running shops and department stores and picking as much Puma Gear as I can fit in my shopping cart. I encourage others to do the same.

I wish they would show the footage of Eric stepping over line...I was at the race and didn't see it. Officials these days seem less qualified and it's a shame because the effort and pain these athletes put in deserve better!!!
