Melchizedek is so important to know. He is often overlooked. This is a very well-done video and offers a good summary and understanding of Melchizedek. He was a king and a priest. In Christianity, according to the Epistle to the Hebrews, Jesus Christ is identified as "High priest forever in the order of Melchizedek", and so Jesus assumes the role of High Priest once and for all.

Ponder the truth. We have such an high priest that can be touched with the feeling of our infirmities. The same High Priest that Abraham had. The less was blessed of the greater.
All those "begats" are actually important and are helpful in understanding the bible. I was in my 50s before I got that point and am 72 this month. You can get a deeper understanding by not skipping all those genealogies.

With the authorization of presiding priesthood leaders, they can bestow the gift of the Holy Ghost and ordain other worthy men to offices in the Aaronic and Melchizedek Priesthoods. When a man receives the Melchizedek Priesthood, he enters into the oath and covenant of the priesthood. He covenants to be faithful, magnify his calling, “give diligent heed to the words of eternal life,” and “live by every word that proceedeth forth from the mouth of God.” Those who keep this covenant will be sanctified by the Spirit and receive “all that [the] Father hath.” (See Doctrine and Covenants 84:33-44.)

Do you people read your bibles? Melchizedek is an ORDER. Meaning usually many more than one person. He was without mother and father and lineage. That means it was passed on not necessarily through lineage. There were probably twenty-four of them given that there are 24 elders wearing crowns in the throne room with Messiah who was the Alpha and Omega. The first and last of the royal priestly line of Melchizedek. Also interesting how there are 24 letters in the greek alphabet.

You chose a long way to say that Melchisadek was the precarnate son of God, but very good job. A side note that I found interesting is that Jesus mother is of the tribes of Judah and Levi, making Jesus both king and priest by blood.

This is awesome & just lovingly for you to share. I'm understanding the principle of tithing/offerings/gifting more unto Christ Jesus teachings of giving to the poor. I believe Melchizedek did an amazing willing vessel act with respect to the leading of the Holy Spirit that is overlooked. He blessed Abraham and his relationship with GOD most high grew thus he was taught thru journey of acts & trials from glory to glory what GODS true law for tithing/offerings/gifting required. GOD demonstrated that our pure WORSHIP is thus. Our worship is the prayer of the Holy Spirit & the unmeasurable wealth & riches of the Lord's Kingdom over any material we had of necessity for our needs that present the foundation for our acts that are of the morals, ethics to compassion & fruits/gifts of the Spirit thus Meet. It's understandable to be concerned about whether a King/Queen would be able to do greater works as Melchizedek but GOD ushered the ability in as the very Body of Christ Jesus was formed in thought by GOD in the Creation/Genesis. It's why we saw the value of the manifestation of the Sky, Earth, Water, Wind.....yet GRACE always reigns & not taking thought of the details of Spirit but laying all down to just be in the Presence in giving unto GOD the pure and holy of worship. Christ Jesus instructed us to give to the poor & give of the Spirit unto Spirit for the work of the Kingdom FIRST. Our spirits are to be fed, healed thus growth. We are given wisdom knowledge and understanding of all the things of matter but the presence is the most powerful non thought of prayer in our Lords image and likeness to commune unto GOD. Melchizedek breaks bread & gives wine unto Abraham & he becomes the Father of all Nations & from him Christ Jesus comes. As a Prophetess I have been in AWE of this revelation of GOD manifesting Christ and centuries later, I am that I am. I'm in AWE of a growth in my heart like none other because the veil is torn and we know because of Christ. I believe that as long as seed time remains we will never be able to separate church and state and that is for our spiritual growth.
