Well done Grace! Did a 3 week trek in the Atlas in 2008 , and did Toubkal at the end , and did find it hard due to the altitude . Remember saying goodbye to our mules at the end in Imlil , as they departed in the back of a lorry ! Mules and guides had been super for a whole 3 weeks . An experience I’ll remember forever ....now 75.

Congratulations. It's gonna be a great souvenir for a lifetime. Life is all about Great experiences and climbing the Mount Toubkal is indeed a heck of an experience...This is better than buying a Rolls Royce.
Grace, the saying goes “ when the going gets tough the tough get going” well done! My bucket list when I was 50 was to run a marathon, I did London Marathon in four hours, yes it was tough! 👍😀

Nice to see my homecountry from another perspective , enjoy your trip , when visiting thèse places you got to see the Real and deep morocco with its modest people and lifestyle far from the modern Big cities and this is what makes the expérience really enriching
Good job Grace!; congrats!!! Never heard of this mountain before. FWIW: I was a seasonal guide on Rainier, last time was 2008. (I'm 66 now- and worn out). That season was 15 ascents, with 12 successful. (weather + client injuries).
Enjoyed that, did it 4 or 5 year ago and it brought back good memories. I did it with Mo and co too so it was good to see them.
I didn't suffer from the altitude luckily, but it's just down to bad luck and nothing else if you do suffer. From the refuge onward it was snow for me and I wasn't expecting it and tbh found it quite scary.

I’m in Morocco and I would like to do the climb alone but it seems I have to hire a guide/group. It’s hard to get information on this, do you know anyone done it alone?
Well done for keeping going when it got tough. The altitude can be so difficult to cope with. The views and the experience were magical.

You did it !! Well done. There is another mountain in the high Atlas harder than Toubkal called M'goun 4071m 200km from Marrakech.

its been an amazing trip, you look lovely i like your vlog you make me though this journey, which i have been experience once ago but in two days from Imlil till the summit and return to imlil i loved the feelings and the adrenalines, what a lovely people there im surely will do it again thanks for the moments you share

Hello, I am marwan 27 years old I am from Morocco I visited the area and experienced the same adventure and climbed to the top with difficulty. I will not forget the experience and marrakesh is 125 km from my city .
Good job 👏 👍. I'm a Moroccan in USA. I climbed that mountain 5 times .first time was very hard .I know exactly how you feel .
Have you by any chance done it in winter (January) once?
@@nalami2037 no I did it 3 times in summer and 1 time in the month to may and last time in the middle of June winter is hard .
@@nalami2037 I did it in winter, it's fun, the only issue is the cold, it reaches -18 C in the top, and if you don't breath correctly you can damage your lungs or get tired very quickly, you should also keep calm and walk in a constant rhythm
@@nalami2037 I would not do it alone it’s snows and cold weather on high altitude it can be dangerous unless if you are a pro hiker!

Well done for achieving the climb! I could tell you were going to suffer with the altitude when you were having problems in Imlil. I was in Imlil just last week (although NOT to climb Toubkal!), and had no problems with the altitude at all...and I'm not exactly fit! Anyway, congratulations on the achievement. 😊

I loved trekking up to toubkal. I think also had some altitude problems but after summit as I flew home 36 hrs after so going back up in altitude done me in a bit. Also something about Morocco it has some sort of spell on you when there.

I really enjoyed your vlog Grace 👌 it brought back a lot of Happy memories for me , I did Toubkal a few years ago and it was a fantastic experience 😀 you did really well to summit considering how you were feeling 👏 not trying to be a smart ass because I like a wee redbull myself but caffeine and high altitude don't go together, I found this out on the Everest Base Camp Trek 🙄 keep enjoying life atb Brian 👍

Fab ! Loved it - on my bucket list … altitude takes no prisoners eh? I’ve done Killi’ and Everest base camp - if your looking to go that next step EBC trek is the most incredible journey . Mentally , physically spiritually even .. I treasure the view from kalar Patter watching the sun rise over the summit - can’t recommend it enough 🤛🤛
