  • My sister and I enjoyed an afternoon at a small Civil War reenactment on the Northside of Jacksonville. The day was cloudy and gray but offered good opportunities to learn and experience something fresh.

    Thank you for posting this video. I consider reenactors as living historians. They are invaluable in passing on information about both the home front and the battlefront.

    Yellow corn is totally FARB. Only white corn exisisted during the 1860's. Also did you bring along enough stuff??? Age of "FARBY"

      Only white corn in the 1860s, seriously. Thousands of years of cultivation and several varieties and sub-varieties and all the people of the mid19th century could come up with is ONLY white corn. Farby reenactorisms vs research.
