I love how even in the choreography you can see Tony's intent, when he's being double teamed he focuses on Bucky and just tries to keep Steve away. Marvel really do a good job with every detail

this wasn’t the full clip, he used his AI assistant to read caps attack pattern and take him out, otherwise he’s not that experienced of a fighter. and he didn’t fly bc his rocket boosters were destroyed ....

When you watch this, you realize how Steve really only made the situation worse, and how big of a hypocrite Steve was. By him knowing and hiding the truth it sent Tony over the edge. Instead of trying to immobilize and talk some sense into Tony, he just double teams the shit out of him with Bucky. Even when the fight was over, he just takes Bucky and walks away. Not once did he really try to apologize or explain the situation he was in. Top this all off by the fact that in Age of Ultron Steve gave Tony shit for having secrets and not working as a team, and in Civil War he has one of the biggest secrets of them all, and basically divides the team by going off on his own for his friend.
This and watching Peter turn to dust is why Tony was so disgusted by Steve when they finally got a chance to talk again in Endgame.

Even with this suite he held back a lot , remember he blew up a tank in the first ironman movie with an older model , plus he cant fly inside and when bucky was trying to destroy his suit he didnt blast his arm off instantly , could have killed him there actually and he spared cap multiple times, tony was far FAR stronger than both of them

It's a powerful and sad moment. To me its the combination of Tony's emotional trauma and regret, Steve wanting to protect his childhood friend while trying to stop someone who has become his friend who's father he knew and gave him his shield, the conflicting feelings all three men are having, what Hydra did to Bucky, and the damage of the divisiveness all hit you at the same time in that moment. Not to mention this shot is from one of the comic book covers.

Really sucks they undermined how Tony had been practicing Wing Chun for years since he had been Iron Man, even more if he was just dabbling. It works perfectly for his armor and would have kept up well against Rogers even if he’s a super soldier. Imagine the insane amount of jabs Cap would be catching.

He only lost because he was in rage,anger and highly emotional.
If he was fully on his control he would use best weapon and decision to fight both Cap and Bucky and probably won against both which he almost did.
He was so much on rage he just wanted to beat Bucky and nothing else but also he didn't wanted to beat Cap because he was not fighting Cap at all, it was Cap who came in between Tony and Bucky

The way Bucky yells at 0:56 just shows how He never wanted any of the things that's happened to him happen, but he has to protect himself and Steve...therefore going for Tony's number 1 most powerful spot on his suit was his go-to attack point. I remember seeing this in theater for the first time on the day it came out, I was on the edge of my seat terrified because I didn't want Bucky to kill Tony by smashing and ripping the Arc Reactor out of His chest, but I also didn't want Bucky or Steve to die 🤣🤣
