Dark Knight is one of the best trilogies period. But if we are talking representation, Batfleck is by far my favorite live action Batman!
He’s the closest to the comics we’ve gotten so far. Still not right though.
Mainly he killing and use of guns. Which I understand this is an older broken Batman, but they do a terrible job conveying that to the general audience.
Thumbs up for Batfleck and Zack. Goat.

You said about the movie being too much for 2 and a half hours. I really recommend you watching the Ultimate Edition. Everything you said in terms of the movie doing things wrong are fixed in the true version of the movie.
Tho the theatrical cut alone does explain why Batman is using guns. It also does explain why Joker has the teeth. I mean we clearly see what the damage on the Robin suit says. So that's clear that The Joker killed Robin. Then with the teeth, it's not hard to make the connection that Batman smashed Joker's teeth in!

It’s much better but they don’t explain why Batman is killing so much and using guns. You get that info if you’re really into it, most people assume they just got Batman wrong. Way too much content for 3 hours. It was originally supposed to be 2 films. Doomsday is crazy forced too. Sooooooo many plot points going on at once. I love it, but general audiences are not told enough, way too much implied.
How does he fit on the flash batcycle? I’ve watched so many vids on this guy and have yet to see anyone put him on it. 🤷🏻♂️ thanks and great video as always!

I agree with you, the height should be more as Batman was really tall and bulky in the movie. I'm waiting for McFarlane to launch the first appearance Batman action figure. The promo shots are out and so far it looks good

I was wondering what was off with this figure and it's the long neck. I thought the head didn't look like Affleck much until you took the peg out and boom it looks just like him. Still just like you I've been wanting this from McFarlane since the Snyder cut figs came out

Did you end up switching out the neck peg? I ended up using a Dark Knight Returns Robin neck peg and use boiling water to widen his jaw he looks 10 times better now
I tried it, but did not keep it that way as I did not want to ruin the other figure permanently
It's still my favorite movie regardless of negative reviews.
I like it a lot but it really needed two movies to flesh out everything they were trying to do

I’m still waiting for to see if they’ll reveal the darker updated one from JL with the muscle pads standing up on his suit and new gauntlets too. I hope they do it so that we have all the versions of batfleck in the dceu

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is the best comic book movie ever made. It's a perfect picture and I think the best Superman film to date. I don't see how there was too much crammed in. It gave us a tense political drama pitting Batman against the Man of Steel and laid the foundations for the Justice League efficiently and cleverly through the metahuman thesis. The beauty of the real DCEU (Snyderverse) is that it organically extended the universe in Man of Steel to a shared universe without the need for post credit scenes or solo movies for each character. That's how cinema should be. Why make the audience go through extra stuff?
Batman killing people using guns after Robin died was NOT explained to the audience at all

Is this a store exclusive? I’ve passed on all the other Batflecks just waiting for a BvS version. I’ve seen loose Mezco heads being sold on eBay so hopefully I can grab one those to make a 10/10 figure

I agree with you on Michael Keaton and Ben affleck interacting in the flash, I wanted to see that too like with spider man no way home which did better than this, and it’s too bad because the morons at Warner bros didn’t think things through making the film, cause of people coming in and out of working at Warner bros , time and money and cutting scenes and all and it turned out to be a disaster like expendables 3 especially when you have guys like Harrison Ford and Mel Gibson who don’t have scenes together. Even though Michael Keaton and Ben affleck were the best parts of the film.

The real tragedy was the proposed solo-Batman movie. Carla Cugino as Selina Kyle, deathstroke. Todd did good on this, the Mattel BVS figures were pretty pedestrian, but at the end of the license, Mattel made some Modern taller figures, the Aquaman & Shazam. I think people point to Mattel over Todd bc of the current MOTU line, how big they are and their price point, an non-nft BAF stuff. Still, I love the look of this Batman.
Too bad we never got the Batfleck movie.

The death of an unannounced dceu teen hero would’ve mirrored Robin’s and it was a story about Bruce & Selina reconciling, and Deathstroke taking advantage of the situation to destroy Bruce. It sounded like it could’ve been powerful. Shame indeed.

Ben Affleck should have been the greatest on screen Batman. The reason the movie was so bad was because of Snyder. Having this figure in hand made me hate Snyder even more lol

I wasn't hype after the affleck announcement but when they first showed the teaser photo in the grey suit I was all in. I think Affleck finshed strong, his scenes in the Flash were amazing! No cap.
Affleck looked great and was great in BvS, he wasn’t the problem with that film.
In the Flash, I thought he was good as Bruce Wayne, but when he was Batman it seemed off…

If you boil the head it actually reforms back to its original wider mold. For some reason all figures in packaging have their heads squished.
Additionally after fixing the head, a short neck peg (basically any figure that uses the hush Superman body) makes the figure perfect (aside from the scaling issues (although I did mod my Superman so that he wouldn’t be as tall now my figures scale perfectly together)
How did you mod your Superman? For his height?
When I heated up the head, I saw no difference about width just the height on the neck

He was big beefy intimidating in the movie. They shot it so he’s bigger than Superman.
You had his legs a bit too spread so it made him look smaller unless that’s how his legs are when natural pose. Also have you heard anything about a New 52 Batman Dhunter? The scaling is scaring me from getting certain figures

Affleck as Batman was hands down the best part in BvS. The suit(s), the intimidation factor, and the fight scenes were all top notch. Shame that we will never see his version in a solo Batman movie. With a better script, I believe Affleck had the potential to be the best live action Batman/Bruce Wayne.
As for the figure, it looks solid. I was the same initially in that I was kinda disappointed after seeing some of the promo shots but now I can see that they did a decent job overall. Sure the likeness isn't there and even a downgrade from the original JL release but it's certainly preferable to that monstrosity from the Flash. The face, neck and overall lack of size and paint in certain parts keeps this from being a home run. The final product to me feels more like a double in baseball. I hope to see the BvS wave continues as there are obviously more that can be done but they definitely need to redo Cavill's Superman and Gadot's WW to scale better with this one. The JL Supes is so comically bigger than all of their Batfleck variations. Look at the size of that head! Scaling continues to be my main annoyance with the McFarlane line.

I'm surprised you're being so lenient on the face. I don't think it looks like Ben Affleck at all, a little bit from the side, but that's it. The suit is also supposed to be gray, but this is more like a blue gray. Additionally, he should also be bulkier. I'm also not a fan of the batterings at all, they suck

@@dHuntersReviewsif you compare the way that the suit looks to like images of Ben Affleck online, I feel like this figure has a blue tint to the gray. It's not just pure gray like the Dark Knight Returns figure.
Though I only mentioned negatives, I do like some things about the figure. I think that, outside of the blue tint, the suit looks really good. E.g., I like the texture, and especially with the wrinkles in the suit.
I see no blue, the grey needs to be darker though.

Ben Afleck is my Batman next to Keaton because of nostalgia. The fact that in real life Affleck is 6’2” and Cavill is 6’1” makes the toy height even more egregious lol. Nobody there cares it seems because we’re how many years deep in this line and they haven’t corrected it in anyway.

Yeah, I think the main problem is they made those justice league figures three years ago, and they have gotten the scale a little better. The real problem is this just figures are too big.
McFarlane missed the dimple on the Flash movie Battfleck, too. That was probably the least of its issues as it need quite a lot of customisation on the paintwork, but a very light touch with a pencil will put that dimple back and improve the likeness immensely.

I believe it's underrated myself. I agree with just about everything you say! I wasn't a fan at first but Ben Affleck eventually grew on me as Batman I guess! I'm also looking forward to more Batmobiles😎

Fondjoy has a 1:9 scale Batfleck coming out just about now. I think the Fondjoy one looks much better than the Mcfarlane one, and it even has an unmasked head as well as the scuba-gear head from Suicide Squad. At 1:9 scale, it should be bigger than the other Justice League figures, but I hope it won't be too big.
I only collect 6-7 inch scale, so it's not for me.

I gotta say...one thing that bothers me about your reviews is how much time you take up doing comparisons. 8 minutes of the video was dedicated to just that. That's a little ridiculous. It's fine if you want to do figure comparisons, but we don't need to see Batman next to your entire collection...or next to a roll of paper towels lol. You can get the point across about the scale and quality of the figure without lining it up with a bunch of different figures from different lines and companies. It's unnecessary. Just a bit of constructive criticism from me.

Thanks for the review. Even as a lone figure, it needs to be a bit bulkier; but you can almost accept it for the price you are paying. Among the movie batman line-up, the size against the other Batmans already stands out; then you put it against the other figures in the Justice League wave and it really does not do very well.
I agree, by himself he’s great, could be beefier. With the other DC Cinematic figures he sucks.
You need to watch BvS Ultimate Edition. WB ruined so many DCEU movies. Snyder wanted mos2 & the solo Batman movie.

In the movie it’s implied it’s a fake Doomsday so I wish they defeated Doomsday & for a couple scenes Sups thought Lex & Batman were working together so he actually tries to kill Batman bc he’s stuck in between a rock & a hard place but Batman holds his own, they defeat Doomsday/fakeDay then when the real one shows up years later, Sups takes it on by himself then dies.

Honestly the head looks nothing like Affleck! Head should sit lower on the neck And the arms are two scrawny. McFarlane can make some of the beefiest most muscular figures on the market, but they chose to make Batfleck long and lean. Bizarre design choices!

I love the first 2/3 of BvS. It's an entertaining & intriguing, slow burn buildup. Unfortunately, things fall apart pretty quickly after that.
Will probably pick this guy up when hes more readily available.
