Great outline for how to manage the process. Prepped areas last year and now waiting for my frost seeded switch to kick in.

Can you do a video on how to cage fruit trees to keep deer out? And how long should i keep them caged? Im planning on planting 4 apple trees on the outskirt of a 3 acre field that will be turned inro a food plot

Jeff what is the name brand of the symmazine and 24D that you use and where to buy it. Been looking around to find some!

Jeff, on the Quinclorac application, what is the concentration amount you're using, 18%? There's a high and low formulation, would make a huge difference on the oz/acre. Thanks

Hello Jeff! Are you just broadcasting the switchgrass seed or using a small grain drill?

Still some time for sure! Our switchgrass seed has been flying off the shelves lately too, so I know a lot of folks are planting late this year 😊

I have a big area i need to put switchgrass but it's a very wet area. Everytime it rains it holds a lot of water almost bad enough we call it the swamp area. Will SG grow in a area like that?

Hi Brandon it would do well if already established it's just getting to that point that is tough tho! It would take an unseasonably dry year to get established and likely some luck that year!

@Whitetail Habitat Solutions ok thank you. We literally just got this 40 acre property. The east side of the property (our only access to the property) has a active Railroad running down it and the north, south, and west is AG fields owned by someone else. As soon as we cross the Railroad crossing it's a 5 acre field that hasn't been cut in probably 10 years but we can't walk 20 yards because deer stay in that thick stuff. I cut half of it back hoping to push the deer back and want to plant SG to hide our entrance. Hopefully we can spray and get some sunlight to the ground and eventually get some SG growing.
