Travel through time to Manhattan on the cusp of 1970, as snow begins to fall on the charming city streets of the Upper West Side. Meet Ed, the newest member of the laundry club at a corner diner during the cozy holiday season. Enjoy a night of quirky adventures as you return to the cozy launderette in a brownstone basement with an "After-Christmas tree." An impromptu meeting of the laundry club is called for a night of wholesome fun. You return to your charming apartment full of hope and promise for a new year. It's time to dream away.

@@larrymarcus3176 No need to worry-- yes, I am not good at taking breaks. I'm someone who has to schedule time to sit down and watch a movie or do nothing. I'm much better now but had the most horrible earaches and was unfortunately exposed to Covid at work and playing it safe.

Production values alone would commend this excellent episode, but you added a special story with special characters from a precious bygone era when people could be humane and hope seemed more likely. So rich with touchstones and triggers is this piece, it is potentially epic. Again, my hat is off to you, Madam. Expertly done.

I’ll drink with just about anyone. But I’ll bring chateau nuf de pap you bring the cheese possibly an aged Gouda. Got to love an adventure. Could certainly use one have been in quarantine thank goodness it was a dud
Haha, I will drink with anyone myself. Although I haven't imbibed much this year. The Roomano is my choice holiday gouda-style cheese. It goes great with chocolate (especially Zotter bars).
@@MichellesSanctuary ok you’re on. I find Romano a bit sharp for me but if you imbibe I will. I like the salty Smokey Gouda has a nice after taste and the chateau red a lovely complex seductive flavor. But best of all it all goes with strawberry Manhattan style cheese cake. I have to skip on the coffee special unless someone keeps me company all night from the exacerbation of anxiety from the caffeine. Everything goes with Tennyson. Being loved unconditionally by others is a sacred blessing. I wish this for all in this sanctuary for the new year. It’s what makes for what dreams are made of.
@@larrymarcus3176 @Larry Marcus Roomano is different from Romano. It's from the Netherlands and a golden nugget of a cheese with a nice price point. And plenty of crystals. I tend to prefer older as they just get sweeter and more like butterscotch with time.
@@MichellesSanctuary that sounds scrumptious. Something else you’ve taught me. Now I have to try and find it. Maybe whole food’s. There used to be lots of nice cheese shops near me in the 70’s but with dietary changes vilifying cheese and cholesterol they all closed down. The Gouda has those little bits in it too. I prefer any cheese like my wine aged. Now good wine and cheese that’s an adventure. Next time you and I go to the vineyard I’ll have them bring some of that out.
I can only find 2 artisan cheese shops that have that cheese. One in your city and one in Pennsylvania. They ship it overnight fed x on dry ice cause it’s perishable and charge 25 for shipping so I have to wait for that party in my mouth for a bit. I have to take my dear dog for medical tests early this morning which is costing a small bundle. Just for your edification the Yiddish word echt means authentic or genuine. The word for good is gut prounounced goot. So tell Ed for me. No, cancel that . He’ll figure it out. I didn’t pay attention to this story being in the 70s. Great decade like the previous. Most influential period in modern music in my opinion of course. A sweet healthy and loving new year to you. Keep singing.
