@@bigtractorpower we run 2 glencos, 1 John Deere and 1 case, with all 4 chisels going we can do 30 acres an hour.
Good looking quadtrac. That disc ripper is doing a great job on that corn residue. Even going with the corn rows. Great video Jason 👍🏻.
The 512 is a good tillage tool. It was neat to see in action.
Back when tractors sounded like tractors not vacuum cleaners with all the emissions equipment choking them down.
This one has a nice growl to it.

For some reason I really like the STX models. Especially any of the Cummins powered ones.
The STX Steigers were a big deal in 2001. First major design change to Steiger since 1982. The STX 440 is my favorite quadtrac.

The older quadtracs have an unique sound😉👍 a farm near me runs a quadtrac 535, you can hear its growl for miles. They also got a 9rx this season😁👍

That 512 is doing an amazing job covering that residue. Beautiful quadtrac also
The 512 was John Deere’s first gray duty mulch ripper. It does work the ground well.

A great video & it made me chuckle. I was in the front yard early last night & could hear rubber tracks coming down the road. It was a Quad Track with a grain cart. Even had the phone in my hand to capture the moment & no dice. Not a drop of sunlight to be found. When you posted your video, I had a good laugh. At least one of us got one! 😂😂
Day light savings sure shortens filing time. Glad I could provide a back up Quadtrac.

I agree. It’s a cool tractor. I was excited to get to work some of the field with this tractor.
Ive used 2 on each game i play (Farm Simulator) since it first came out. They are used mainly to pull 12 bottom plows for the game. Got to see one in person and the ground shook as it drove by but it wasn't pulling. Just in a parade at Florida Flywheeler show. Awesome machine for sure 🚜🚜

Yes we got 4 STX Steigers all of them with the powerful Cummins one of them is a 450 qaudtrac

Did you know that a qsx Cummins costs around $30k to overhaul and the Iveco engine case started using to replace the Cummins costs $80k to overhaul. 😢
Why they did go the Iveco way is one of life's great mysteries ... Glad JD went with Cummins on some models 👍
Case IH is owned by Fiat and Fist owns Iveco.
That is a big coast for a repair.

The 535 was the Last Model Group with the Cummins Engine. The 530 was the Large Model during that Model Group. Then came the 535 which was the Last Model with the Cummins Engine, 485 had the Iveco Motor.
I was gonna say that tractor would have been worth more just selling it in the UK and buying another machine when they moved to Texas but then i noticed it doesn't have 3pt hitch, that's pretty important over there for most stuff, especially the semi mounted roll over plow
They have come a long way since The Old Farmal or Farm it Some like My Best Friend and I used to call them.

They were a good match.
We have one with an iveco and it’s been a good machine.
@@gregjames5070only trouble is if you get problems with the iveco and they will who repairs them, Cummins has a great dealer network.

You are right. It was a Ford 9700 with canopy ROPS. I hope to film it some time. It just got a fresh coat of paint.
I think that tractor is a little wider than 44 inches. 😂🤷🏼♂️
