This is the most loving amazing, tender affection between two animals I've ever seen. They're beautiful and their relationship is beautiful too. They have a wonderful home. People should take this example of a wonderful relationship and learn from it. The respect and caring despite major differences between them is something to be admired. My heart melted and it's an image that'll stay with me forever. My mom's going to love this video.
They act like they've not seen each other for years, yer it was only a day ago,.....not to the dog it wasn't, it was seven days.

Exactly, saw the same similarities too, also around their eyes. I guess the saying is right that couples who truly love each other tend to look more alike each year they’re together😁. This true love ❤️ & friendship.

Wow, that horse really trusts the pup to let him put his paws in her face like that! Horses are sensitive of personal space around their heads, very sweet to see.
Yeah, dogs are predator animals and therefore horses are usually very wary of them and can be aggressive in their defence around dogs. To let a dog near their face is extraordinary.

@@christinebuckingham8369 could be. Different domestic animal species act like that. For example, I saw another story on CZcams where was the same friendship between dog and cat. Dog was a retriever boy and he was an adult when they picked up a little kitten. As much as kitten grew up they formed an unbreakable bond with him (or her, just forgot cat gender)

I just feel everyone could learn mountains of lessons from animals . Love and care , respect, kindness, tolerance, understanding , playfulness . When two different species come together they don't need to speak the same language . They feel each other silently and know exactly how the other one is doing and what is needed. Its amazing to watch .

@@Digibeatle09 It is completely different in a Domestic life than it is in the Wild World of nature. In living quarters they are all fed and don't have to worry about their next meal. On their own they are one of two things. The predator or the pray, with survival of the fittest
I learned loads from my dog. I now regularly crap in next door's garden and kick my feet backwards to try to cover it in dirt. Even on concrete!

When they were trying to get Sea Biscuit to become a great horse, they realized he had a lot of nervous energy and needed to calm him down. So they put a really sweet horse, a donkey and a sweet dog in the stable next to him so he could have friends. Those three animals showed Sea Biscuit affection and helped him calm down which then helped him focus.
Just knowing that friendships like this exist in the world is really comforting 🥰

The thing that always gets me about these odd couples: different species have such different body language, but they can still communicate just fine!
Humans have always had different languages but very few of us actually have the patience to decypher the universal comonly accepted body language for "oops i forgot what language im speaking"
That's cause both species have learned to read body language of humans. Horses are prey animals, they had to learn who and what would hurt them. Dogs learned the same. Except they're predators. Horses and dogs just seem to go together. Mutual trust.

Horses, if they know you, LOOOOOOVE to be doted on. Our human hands are something that they don't have themselves and I always used to massage the horses and pet them and they would not want me to stop.
It got to the point where the lead mare would get jealous and wouldn't want anyone else to get pets. I would try giving them turns and that didn't work out. 😂 They were addicted. I had to stop for a while because they all literally started fighting for it and it's not safe when 12 horses hooves are flying everywhere.
I started doing it in their stables at feeding time which they loved. I always figured they'd want to be left alone when they were feeding, but they enjoyed it. Whenever I stopped massaging them before they were done eating they would just stop and look at me until I started again. I miss them so much.

I always feel bad for horses, they dont get the same amount of physical affection as dogs. So it’s incredible to see a dog hugging a horse. Our furry friends truly are amazing
What do you mean, they don't get the same amount? Some of the things dogs love, most horses would find very uncomfortable, true. Horses get pets, grooming, face-rubs, shoulder-rubs... Some will even tolerate hugs and kisses, though that's more to the human's benefit than the horse's. Most dogs would be very uncomfortable if you handled their feet like a horse's feet, or, heaven forbid, tried to sit or lean on them. A contented or affectionate horse and a contented or affectionate dog look different, but don't feel bad for horses just because the physical affection they get is different from what dogs enjoy.

@@MonstehDinosawr Alright... if you want to talk history, we're not sure when early humans switched from having horses pull or carry stuff to asking them to carry themselves, but we've got evidence it was happening several thousand years ago, and many believe it may have started even earlier than that, in ways we just can't capture in the archeological record. It's not as if sitting on horses makes any particular changes in their skeletal structure.

There is actually one of a elephant at a sanctuary that had become inseparable with a dog there. It is super interesting seeing these.

I always love stories like these. Two different species that know how to communicate with each other, watching them do zoomies, give affection, play together... It's beautiful ❤️. I am glad they have each other and are able to live a wonderful life with a great mom/owner. 🐶🐾🐴❤️

I've worked in an office behind a computer my entire life. The thing that amazes me when I see videos of people who live on farms/around animals is how insanely calm and relaxed they sound. It's a level of calmness I can only dream of achieving.

OOOO MYYYY GOOOOSH.... You can see the utter admiration in the dog's eyes, like the horse is a hero to him, and he thinks he's going to grow up to be a horse too, LOLOL... This was THE BEST! I love it! Aussies are one of the smartest breeds and high energy, while paints are very strong spirited and stubborn and head strong horse breeds. It makes a lot of sense to me why they gravitated toward each other. Both thinkers and free spirits! Also, Aussie's are so smart in fact, they can be one of the most sensitive dogs to emotions of others and to hidden ailments. Aussie's are on POINT when they read someone or another animal. PS, if the dog always feels very protective of her, it might be an underlying issue with the horse, whether it's depression, or a heart issue or something the dog picks up on, pay attention to how the dog is signaling.... but it's amazing the healing an Aussie can bring with all that love! I have a true miracle story of how my late Aussie healed me of heart irregularity problems, and she was always extremely protective of me. A thorough vet checkup might be a good idea for the horse.
