I have one of these for my work and its by far the best cordless tool i had.. so so handy to have a shit tonne of portable cutting power anywhere you need it like in a open field without relying on a gen
Your blurb about the bigger disk travelling more distance at the outer edge is the same logic used to make engines rev higher - they increase the bore size and shorten the pistons giving the same capacity but enabling higher revving because the piston has less distance to travel within the same timespan.
On the north American version that fully covered cutoff guard is required by law on some job sites. I don't think there are any regulations on the nuts, I have seen 7 inch grinders here in north America using grinding disc and flap disc with just the small nuts. I think on some makita grinders if you used the small nuts the wheel would hit the guard its just how they are made. On a side note i have never actually seen 9 inch cutoff wheels in the U.S, and if they did make them some idiot would put it on a 4.5 inch grinder and die. My makita ga7001l is easily over 105 db its much louder than any chainsaw.
The metal frame battery guard is fixed in a stationary position with a couple of screws. It is easily removable and can be left off if you are careful when you put it down.
@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL Cool, thanks. Hopefully it fits with it then, I'd rather not remove it. Waiting on your "next" video with the three of them. That's still in the works, right?
I have filmed a heap for that video. But lots of things went wrong and I got pissed off and haven't got around to editing it all. But yes it is still coming, but I might put it on my other channel.

They sure are handy when you need them.
would yo uknow that max cutting depths of the 700 and the 900 please?
Just picked one up, even though I already had a 9 inch monster at home.
In the drawer?

Thanks for the good video. I have this angle grinder, probably the best cordless heavy duty angle grinder sold today
Lower rpm but 2inch bigger blade so the blade tip is actually travelling faster and would therefore be taking material away faster.

@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL oh ok thanks
So have you done the comparison video? Couldnt see it on a quick scan of your playlist. Good vids though, keep up the good work.
Yeah I have. It is over on my other channel czcams.com/users/BuildsStuff
@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL cheers bud
Is 9 inch hard to handle? Considering buy one for steel fab work...
Dumb question... hypothetically speaking, would I be able to slow down the RPM on this DGA900?
Seem like it has decent torque.
Good info. Does the battery guard flip up for storage?
I'm wondering if I could fit this into a Packout tool box next to my 5" grinder.

@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL Sounds good. I'll stay tuned. What's your other channel?

It is mostly outtakes and instagram type stuff.
Both grinders were used? One is new the other is an older one?
They were both new when I got them. I got the 7 inch first and have previously reviewed it.
I have a 100mm Ozito I can donate if you want to compare it to the Makitas 😉
I guess I could see which grinder cut through that the quickest
Whot is dimension of rotor in this grinder on magnetic core?????
Sorry I am not opening it up again to measure it.
Ok,thank you!!!!!
Canadian models are different then U S models
Thanks, what is different?
Me like; me want.
come on, one hand with a 9inch grinder. At that point you're just asking for something to go wrong.
