Fun fact, if you create a copy of a mutated creature, the resulting creature is a copy of the full stack with all the abilities, but counts as zero when counting number of mutations. Use that knowledge as you will. XD
Haktos has protection from everything but 2, 3 or 4 mana value, but the choice is only determined on ETB. You could give Priest "protection from other than the chosen number", but no number would be chosen.

You need the stone serpent - keywords AND protection from multicoloured which is often a nice surprise for opponent

Stonecoil serpent also synergizes really well with mutate bc the counters stay on the creature whereas most creatures just have their base power and toughness replaced
Pro Multicolored makes it so you can’t target it with Snapdax though…
I don't remember the name of it but there is a creature that when it ETBs you choose a source and all creatures you control gain protection from it. People use it in the "Players and enchantments can't gain counters" plus Nine lives.

The priest does work with Baneslayer Angel (dragons and demons), Archon of Absolution (white) - those are a couple of my favorites for him

I feel like when you play a deck that's outside of the meta, the matchmaking robots get confused. I had an Argothian Uprooting deck that won nine games in a row in one day. Then a couple days later went 2-5, like the robots figured out that it was a pretty ok deck.
Please no specialize in paper magic! dont give them bad ideas!
Best thing is that a hexproof legend turns super insane because you now get the legend effect multiple times

This deck is one of the reasons I avoid play historic >=(
