- Join us as we visit a small but fully packed specialist hobby shop HIKO SEVEN in south Yokohama that has an impressive selection of the latest die-cast models. JDM car fans will be delighted to see many of their favorite models from the 80s and 90s beautifully recreated and crafted using the latest 3D scanning technology the accurately capture the contour and details of the real car. We feature some of the best Japanese model makers like Kyosho, Hobby Japan's Mark 43, Ignition Models, Tomitec, Ebbro, and more. The resurgence of interest in Neo-Classic JDM cars in the real world has also seen makers recognizing this trend aims to fill in the gap of high-grade premium die-cast models for the discerning collector and fan. Available in popular sizes from the large 1:18, medium 1:43, and small 1:64 scale, each category has enough details in the shape of the lights, roofline, lights, interior and even the decals to satisfy even the most hardcore and demanding hobbyist.
We also feature and browse through many popular foreign brands that the shop carries in their range. Almost every genre of cars are available here from stock models, tuned cars like the famous MINES GT-R, Top Secret, Initial D anime range to racing models, even nonsports cars like the Lexus range and min vans, obscure models like station wagons which have a fan following for even the deepest enthusiast.
We study in detail how the construction is painstakingly reproduced and the methods behind it as we talk to the owner, himself an avid car enthusiast, and explains the development process. Special thanks to Harashima san. Owner of Hiko Seven hobby shop for kindly letting us feature his shop. For details on how to buy models, check the link below.

i can't get over how good his pronounciations are
That is super awesome! Being a JDM car guy and model car builder I can literally stay in this place and stare at those cars for hours! THIS is the ultimate dream land for JDM model car fan!
Jun's Mini Garage Makes my Hot Wheels collection look like child’s play (no pun intended) 😅😅😅
The actual definition for dreamland
My mom says that if someday I go to Japan I will get back home broken, no money left
And now I know why lol
Would be totally worth it though right? :P
William Hayashi lol
if i get chance to go there i would not even think about coming back :D
23:59 You are the only one who pronounces right the BMW finally!!
Greetings from Thessaloniki Greece!!
Interesting shop review, glad to see that you guys count die-cast as real stuff too
This why i love Japan, next year i'll visit Japan and bought some diecast model 😄
@Jason Bouphasavanh nah man hahaha
@Jason Bouphasavanh wtf?
I think europe has lots of diecast shops too. Obviously you get better price for japanes brands in japan like kyosho and ignition model but otto, and norev would be much cheaper in europe and same goes for inno, tiny, autoart and tarmac works if you are in hong kong.
But of course european shops will carry more european cars, rally cars and formula cars.
@@TomatoTomato911 yea, but in Japan, i can found many jdm Cars, and a lot European brand too
Resin models
As a life long Collector this is cat nip. I have R34s,Supras Daytonas and even Bandit’s Ban One. I feel like when we go to heaven every one gets a car collection waiting for them.
I like the part when he says
"Hiiiiighly detailed" 😄
🚗💨 Thank you for this episode Captain Bradford-San! I’m very familiar with all of those brands. I’ve been collecting die cast cars most of my life. Primarily 1:18 scale Honda and Acura’s. Ignition and Autoart are probably my favorite. Though I also have quite a few Ferrari’s and Aston Martins. Last count I had over 500+ cars.
Then there is my 1:1 scale car collection in my garage... 😉👍
Ignition models are really pricey for resins and i would really prefer wheels that spin and turn. But no doubt about their qualities but they seem to focus on tuner card.
I just went to Japan and was kind of blown away by how many model shops there are, and how massive some of them are. Found one shop that was like Wal-Mart sized with one floor of just model trains. O.o

James May has entered the chat
He entered the chat and ordered one.
Lol
and he's looking for a Sandero.
Captain Bradford starts talking about details reminds me of Ryosuke Takahashi when explaining about details of how each cars differ.👍🤔😁
One thing about hobby japan is i always though its a japanese general toy hobby magazine (mainly gundams and mechs), instead of diecast car mag.
Bro same lmao
jesus christ i was just looking at models on ebay today haha
The Realist lol same
@@isaacsrandomvideos667 I bought 3 after this video :'(
The Realist I got loads the other day, and and in the process now.
@@isaacsrandomvideos667 Nice one man!
The Realist few old dinkys. Very cheap for what they are. In total around idk like £25. Not bad for cars that are normally like 10 each
Yes to more Models and R.C ....
When he starts talking about details on each diecast:
Ah yes,its ASMR time
emanh4keem _san thought i was the only one lol
Dude's voice is so soothing and relaxing
My God the detail is amazing
This is like ASMR
I'm in love with Great Japan, long live Japan. 🇯🇵❤️
when you spend as much money on diecast models as you do with real cars
Of all the childhood phases I miss, it's collecting 1/18th scale large die cast cars. 90% Subaru and 10% w/e else.
Does this man know he's the jdm asmr king? He could read the phone book an id listen. Very polite an intelligent on all matters not just cars.
British accent always sounded more gentlemen 😁😁😁
Being a collector of model cars....this is just a superb video and another reason why I love supporting this channel! The content is always exactly my cup of tea haha =)
~ By the way, my favorite model car brand is the Kyosho Samurai lineup. Superb quality!
This is another reason why Japans great
Yes please more diecast reviews
I've been thoroughly enjoying your videos for a little while now, but this one just hit right home in a special way, as I am a lover of scale cars. The attention to detail, and the 'reserved joy' that you bring to the real cars, you bring to these scale replicas; incredible!
Why haven't I known about this place?
Darrent Antono yep.
As a model car collector myself I absolutely loved this video.
I just wish you'd put English subtitles on when you were interviewing the shop owner...
I know quite a lot of the models are manufactured in China but I'd love to see a video inside a model car factory..
I normally always enjoy the JDMmasters videos but this was my favourite..
I love real Japanese cars but you can't own them all in real life. A model gives you the opportunity to gaze over the car 3 dimensionally whenever you want..
And yes you do want a model of your minivan lol. I'd love a model of my Hiace
if you turn on the CC captions, you can read the english subtitles.
Thank you so much for showing us around. I only recognise a few brands that are also available through local dealers here where I live and I'm therefore extremely excited to be able to get a glimpse into the japanese model car world. I can definitely see myself losing hours upon hours browsing their stock once I can visit Japan in the future. It's quite literally a JDM fans model car heaven.
If I won the lottery I’d take a family trip to Japan and buy some of these diecast models.
You need to win at least 2 times.
I love Japan very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mark43
Ignition
HPI
Otto
Autoart
Hi Story
TSM
The best of the best!
Awesome episode!!!! Thanks guys!!!!
Yessssss love JDM die-casts. Currently collecting Hot Wheels 🔥
Me too :D HW are the cheaper way to collect lots of die cast models for a very, very low price
You can really see the passion from the host!! As a diecast collector, I love to collect these as well, but these are very expensive for sure
Miniature jdm heaven
Very nice. Thanks for the episode, much appreciated in these lockdown times. Melbourne Australia
Japan is paradise
it’s actually amazing that they are in japan because from yen to USD these are nicely priced for me because of the difference in economy and money amounts, if i buy a s15 model here it’s like $60 for a cheap plastic thing but if i buy one there it’s $25 for something sooo much more detailed
YES! More car model shops visit!!!!
Damn i need those white evo 3 so bad! 🤤
thank you for posting this
This video is ASMR.
thats now on my bucket list coz im a veeeeeeeeeerrry biiiiiiiiiiiiiig fan of jdm cars and also a die cast car collector
Big fan of 1:64 scale
Love this, I'm a huge 1/64 scale collector

Yes, more of those model store episodes. That was great!
This is just amazing and terrifying. I've been to a few of these stores in Japan and it's insane to not leave without dropping 200 bucks easy.
It was an absolute pleasure to watch this video..I just added this store to my targets for the next trip to Japan..
Wow! I'm speachless after seeing this video. This shop is so crazy/insane 😘😘😘
hotwheels fanboy : look how sick the details of my cars
JAPANESE BRANDS : SUMIMASEN!!!!!!!
Very cool! as a model collector myself this video was interesting, nice topic. I remember going to a model shop in Akihabara. I wanted all of the Ignition Models lol and Kyosho, Autoart and OneModel. Not cheap but amazing quality. 1/18 size is the one for me!
Model building or collection is one of my favorite hobbies
Another scale that people like to collect: 1:1 scale
Love from india
Ignition models is my favorite model company. It's all I collect now

It very cool to collect these and display them
Amazing collection! I have the Mugen DC5, NSX-R GT and a Mugen RR!
wow i love Japanse scale models😍 nice video👌 show the world more of this😉
thanks for not putting any music into this. really enjoyed watching, I wish I could go there one day!
Okay now ima consider Japan the best place to go to
11:44 Yeah and the wheels look like speedline 2013C, popular with GC8 owners from the 90's.
13:10 ayyy
Thanks a lot for this wonderful video.
This is the first video I’ve seen on your channel and to answer your question, yes please make more die cast car videos. This was the most informative vid I have seen being a new die cast collector. Good job and good stuff man👍
I am in the UK and collect Japanese cars mostly Toyota road cars great to see more 1:43 models
27:30 Now that Group 5 Stratos is something! It's the track version of the original rally car, i love the design. I really really like this video, always been a fan of scale cars.
I really love this video ! i think you should do more diecast and models contents really relax content to watch love to see all these small car so detailed so realistic !
Great to see some of those models, nice store! I have a collection of more than 60 scale JDM Hondas, the majority of them came from japan and HK to my country, Portugal. Ebbro, Hobby japan, kyosho, tomica LV, Otto, autoart, Inno64, Tarmac... it is a hobby and a way to have my dream JDM cars... well, at least at scale :). It would be nice to see more videos from stores in japan. Great content!
Inno models are cool too
Fantastic, thank you. Would love to see more stories reviewed.
This place is awesome 😎 model shops in the uk suck 😔
Excellent shop review! Looking forward to see more videos like this.
That is my very own DC5 Type-R! Exquisite detail, especially on the headlights!
Yes please more review and showcasing of model cars. I am a collector and enjoying it.
YES! MORE OF THIS PLEASE!
This is dope! I've been collecting for a very long time. I mostly collect hot wheels and mathbox but i do have some tomytec tomica limited vintage neo diecast. I got the Xsi 89-91 honda integra's, had to get them in my collection. I mean who doesn't want 1/64 scale version of the car they actually drive! Awesome episode! Jdm masters keep doing your thing its appericatted!🤘🍻
Wow, what a place to spend some hard earned money! Thanks for the great review! The resin 1/18 Integra is absolutely awesome.
why am I drooling?
This is so nice. Thanks for the video. I am always loosing myself in this kind of shops when I find one
I wish we had shops like this in america, very cool!
Prelude 4th gen. amazing....
i basically had to travel to japan to get a reasonable priced E46 M3 diecast, well i picked one up while i was there. I was so lucky to find one as I went around to many shops scattered around Tokyo and stumbled upon one.
Thanks, pleasure to watch as always =)
This was amazing and i loved it.
OMG I need to check that store. It has an exquisite collection of pieces.
Ok, I want the FX-16 GTS bro, that is too cool. I had one back in the day in red. I miss the 90’s.
Love me some diecast!!
One of my favorites is my 2019 Toyota Camry XSE in Blizzard White with Black roof and Red interior. 1:18 scale from Japan! Right next to my collection of 1:18 R34 Skylines and my Lexus RC-F.
Should check out the latest toyota crown too in white.
This is mini JDM heaven!!!!! Too bad I don't live in Japan ;-;
Man I love this channel!
Please review more diecast models, and hobby shops. Thanks!
Nice cars sir love sir
Thanks to you i have new place to visit in Japan :D
Really enjoyed this. More model cars and shops please
The thing about resin car is they use soft clear plastic as windows and often you can see the waves due to slight uneven surface.
Great video, love the die cast models, I collect the small cars because I can't afford the real cars, lol!
