Our leagues are very poor and the reason why we never do well in europe is because our season ends in December so the teams barely get any prep

Even as a Dane I have to admit that at the moment Bodø/Glimt are the best Scandinavian side, and they prove it again and again. As for Celtic, their recent record against sides from the nordic countries is surprisingly poor. Very odd.

@@Tonysoprano497 Legia Warsawa is a good team though. Also - Roma isnt the only top team Bodø has showed their quality against. They gave AC Milan a run for their money the season before.
@@tangbein they are not bad but not great . Celtic suffered because it was their worst performance of the season . Football often is about fine margins . Even then first half BG goalkeeper was very lucky on two occasions not to give away two penalties , marginal offside prevented this but the keeper when committing the fouls didn’t know this . Also Abada missed a sitter and time and time again Celtic got into good positions but the final pass was poor . On another night Celtic take advantage of these situations . The fact is BG had three chances and took them , the third with a wicked deflection. Hart never had a save to make and they never forced even one corner in 90 mins . A decent performance by BG but on a different night there would be a very different outcome

Bodø/Glimt has a very good coach and that shows on the pitch, even when he lost 4 first teamers this window he still manages to get the team working pretty good off season. This team is very good atm, but if they kept their best players from 2 years back, when they crushed the norwegian league, they would most likely be playing top of the European League right now.
Still, a very good performance and the coaching staff really knew how to make Celtic look poor as a team , and ofc Bodø`s players are well drilled and loves one touch football and plays with confidence. They didn`t beat Roma 6-1 for nothing, they literally played them off the park in every way possible!
As a Norwegian fan I honestly wasn’t shocked at all. Didn’t even think Glimt were anywhere near their top level (no surprise when you are out of season and has lost your four best players). Celtic seemed to match Glimt physically, but on the ball I couldn’t really figure out their playing style. Did like the look of the striker who scored their goal tbh

As a Rangers fan I would never want Celtic to win a game regardless of who they are playing but my Dad (rest in peace) taught me that we should be supporting ALL Scottish clubs in Europe. Very disappointing for Scottish football.
I would genuinely love to see Rangers and Celtic lift their respective European trophies. Hopefully Rangers do well this year and next year the likes of Hearts/Hibs AND Celtic can help lift the profile of our league. What a result for Rangers last night though!
