So here's the thing - I had been brining some wings for about 12 hrs before I had watched this video (brine - 1/3 c. Sugar, 1/3 c. Salt, whole black peppercorns, red pepper flakes and about 3 crushes cloves of garlic). When I watched this video I knew there was a detour for my chicken wings because I had all the ingredients on hand. Ate these with some sticky rice. These turned out so good - I am making them again today. Delicious dish!

Hi Marion,I started watching your channel recently and needless to say, your recipes are amazing! Made this one today and it turns out fantastic! I almost died because I forgot to put in the fish sauce, but luckily I remembered abt it before frying them 🤣 so I've to turn off the heat and waited for a couple more minutes. Still, the chicken tasted soooo delish. I ate them with rice, our traditional malaysian vegetable curry called 'dalca', some cucumbers and sambal belacan 😋 it goes very wellll together and lastly the lime leaves flavor is sooo good 😭 should add more of it to my fried chicken later on 🥴

I tried this today and it was a hit!!! Thank you for sharing your recipe...Also, I noticed that my lemongrass stuck on the chicken the whole time, means I didn't have any loose lemongrass frying in the pan. I guess for that we have to add slightly more corn flour and let the chicken rest at least 10 minutes before frying.

This looks so yummy. Have you ever tried normal lime leaves just to see whether they are a good substitute for the type you used. I have a plant and wonder whether I can substitute😀

In Indonesia we have ayam lengkuas or galangal chicken. Will try this recipe as my father plant so many lemongrass that make a beautiful line of decoration in front of the house.
