As a retired US merchant seaman, I really enjoyed this video! It brings back wonderful memories of my life at sea. No job can be compared to working on these ships, see the world and get paid, it was a nice experience for me and I still miss it a lot! Thanks for sharing.

The narration and music sounds like a 14-minute ad for the oil and tanker industries. I don't have a problem with that -- I just wish I knew that going in.
Watching this video makes wish that I was once a young man again! I find the oil tanker life inspiring and a challenge to the human mind especially negotiating rough seas! I'm looking forward to seeing more of your videos soon!
My late father was seaman all his life. Also I have two cousins who did sail until retirement.I did that for nine years working mostly on tankers.Yes was good. After nine years I asked my self question. Do I really want do this till I retire. I said to myself no. And that was it for me. If you are family man I will not recommend. Is not for everyone.
Nice basic description of overall tanker operation but only 2 minutes of life in the tanker and some of that was repeated. Also, the are not self sustaining. They take on supplies at almost every stop.
Watching oil tanker videos I can't help but remember the terrible tragedy that occurred with the Exxon Valdez oil spill.
That was a real tragedy!
Why do you think specifically about that? It was far from the worst spill and also cleaned up pretty well after earlier oil-spill standards

I heard they scrapped the sea wise giant(knock nevis). About ten to fifteen years ago.

I wonder how many of the recent oil tanker pirates has watched this or similar videos to understand the layout and what they need to do to hijack one of these?
Only fault was you showed more empty tankers than full ones and very little at sea images, mainly in port.

I could only watch for a couple minutes. It's apparent that you've spent a lot of time editing selections from quite a few videos. But it's more like a visual effects presentation. It's just a lot of images that jump from one to the next to the next. It's just that - a bunch of images without really explaining anything. Most of the images are only on screen for a couple seconds. The narrator's voice is really pretty tough to listen to.
If you only watched for a couple of minutes, you are in no position to be a critic.
How I hate that gushing overblown language.
