    Love the two 4600 I own... they spray incredibly clean.
    Finding it becoming my go to gun... personally I like to base and clear with the same make and model gun.
    I came from Painting machinery , Heavy Equipment and various Marine applications to the automotive industry has been a welcome change... pricey but welcome.
    Thanks for all the videos , reviews and insights...I get a lot out of this.... Be well ; I’m going to paint some shit.

    Hey Gunny, I work for a company in Brisbane (UAP) that makes public art for clients all over the world. I've been doing the painting there for the past four years or so by default after the painter left. We use Cromax products and at the moment I'm painting a giant 6m tall Jackalope (bunny with antlers) in satin black (not an easy task). (:
    I discovered your videos a couple of weeks ago and they are what has finally got me excited about what I'm doing. Automotive painting truly is an artform and you are a great exponent of it. If you are ever in Brisbane look us up! I'll give you a tour. Ordered a 4600 today after watching this, it'll be waiting for me when I arrive at work tomorrow. (:

    Hi Gunman, I currently have a Devilbiss Finishline 4 (flg-670). It is a nice gun but I want something with a wider fan for spraying pearls without getting stripes due to having to make many overlaps for coverage. This Sagola 4600 looks very good, but the Techna Pro-Lite seems like a better deal, more versatility. Which would you upgrade to from the FL4 for DIY'er need to spray anything from high solids primer to SS to bc/cc and pearl or metal flake?

    • @jaykrom852
      @jaykrom852 Před 4 lety

      I've now made my FLG4 a primer gun with the 1.8 fluid tip. The Pro lite is quite versatile for me with 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 tips and different air caps. That Sagola looks like a monster- Gunny only had it two turns out, too!

      @Hank Scott
      "XL" means high fluid flow rate of the same tip. The nozzle are designed for high flow.
      This is mainly for clears used in repair shops, where speed matters. Iwata's WS400 series has the "HD" nozzles which are the high fluid flow nozzles. ANI has the same set up too. An ANI F150 HPS uses 1.3 and 1.3-C nozzles (1,3-C AH1411151). The C designation is for high fluid flow.

      The Gunman need a recommendation! 30 yr painter in Annapolis, Maryland. Do my side work in my garage , which clear gun would you recommend for the best finish with the least amount of overspray... that sprays the best at lower pressure.?

    Gunman ,,,, Are you confident in this gun enough to spray a Full catalyzed Candy thru it ??? I ordered the Tekna Prolite due to its multiple air cap features & wanting to see if I like the 1.2 tip for spraying House of Kolor UKs / even Koncentrates in a Clear Intercoat/Blender like PPG dbc500........ I loved my Iwata LPH400's for spraying Candies but unfortunately they were stolen...

    • @TheGunmanChannel
      @TheGunmanChannel  Před 7 lety

      Yes I have confidence in this gun and would be surprised if you weren't impressed, the 4600 air caps are also interchangeable like the DeVilbiss, I use the Aqua cap for base but I have used it for clear and the clear cap for base, they do spray fine but my preference is the recommended caps for their purpose.

      That's good to hear... I just noticed that the GTI prolite has an Air valve adjustment as the Tekna Prolite does not..... I like that having that control so ,,, Looks like I will be getting a GTI prolite too in the near future.!!! haha....

      This Sagola looks like it handles clear pretty well... I try to find different guns for each use in my field of custom paint... I prefer to have separate guns for each Solids/Metallics/Candy/Clears .. Thanks for the videos

      ThistleDewOutdoors what's your metallic gun?

    • @thistledewoutdoors3331
      @thistledewoutdoors3331 Před 7 lety

      I honestly have multiple guns... One of the best Silver light gold metallic guns that I have is a $120 Sharpe Finex 1.3.... I cant believe how well it does..!!! I learned how to master the Iwata LPH400s for metallic although they are tricky.... I also have a Sharpe titanium that I use for metallic that seems to work well for me..... The Sata line is a decent metallic gun but I don't like them personally.....

      I forgot to check sorry. We use a camera and it takes photos so I never really look at the colour codes unless I need to plus I do paint a lot of cars.

    Good morning Gunny, I noticed the metal containers setting on your paint bench, they have a lip on them to pour paint out of. Any information on them, and where can I get a set of these? Thanks

      @TheGunmanChannel  Před 7 lety

      I got it from my local paint supplier, he did me a good deal $50 for the 4. I'd say most auto paint suppliers would stock something similar.

    Φιλε μου Gunman ποιο ειναι πιο ακριβο οπλο το pro lite η το Sagola 4600 . το pro lite στην Ελλαδα κοστιζει 270 euro , ποσο κοστιζει στην Αυστραλια.

    Would this be a good gun for a beginner?

    • @TheGunmanChannel
      @TheGunmanChannel  Před 7 lety +1

      Maybe not the best setup, I'd go a smaller tip size, this is the 1.3XL and is very fast so maybe 1.2 or 1.3 depending on if you have a booth to paint in or not.

      @TheGunmanChannel  Před 7 lety +2

      I can point you in the right direction if you give me a bit more info on what you're looking at painting, where you'll be painting, what paint you plan on using and your budget.

      I know you have some Tekna's, but you should try to get your hands on the new Tekna Ultimate Basecoat gun. I just ordered on last week and im hoping its a nice gun. I heard is sprays slow, but that is fine with me. Should be a good marriage to the lph400

      Chris I would like to get one, do they specify if it's more aimed at water or solvent or is it just meant for both.

    great vid as always.
    have been curious about these Sagolas for quite some time. look like a really good quality gun.
    you mentioned fan size and from watching your videos for quite some time now, it might be me, but the fan on this gun looks to be a bit smaller than when you clear with your Prolite.
    Either way, it lays a nice finish!
    Cheers
