- The first mix of Hot Wheels Car Culture 2019 is here. Gulf is the theme, and the iconic livery shows up on a nice variety of models. Here is a look.

I customized a Gulf Ford Galaxie to look like the one my dad drove when I was a kid. I painted it white with red interior. I'm sending it to him for Christmas.

Did anyone realize that the card art on Hotwheels and Matchbox cars is better than the car itself while for TLV and Kyosho, the car is better than the card art.

Well it would be better if they included it in some type of hot hatch set, hey that would be a good idea Hotwheels should make a Car Culture that has all hot hatch like Volkswagen Golf MK7, Honda Civic Type R, Honda Civic EF, Ford Focus RS, and Fiat 500 Abarth

@@the_random9718 he is probably refering to the 917k and or 917lh because those are some of the most iconic cars to ever bear the gulf baby blu and orange racing liveries. a ford gt40 wouldnt have hurt either in my opinion, but whatever.

I like them all. I love all car culture cars and trucks. I'm picking up the Laurel. One of the 3 JDM cars that i actually like. Laurel from hot wheels, Kenmeri Skyline 2000 GT-R, Skyline R34. I have 1 or 2 variations of the Skyline 2000 GT-R.
cant wait to start looking for these when they start hitting the east coast in 2-3 months!!!

My Walmart has employees that are scalpers. The other one never even saw this set. They are just now showing up.... picked over. Of course lol.

Why is it that the “weak” link was the hardest to find. I never have bought more than 1 car in a car culture series but I tried to buy all 5 because I love these liveries and I couldn’t find the damn golf
Hot wheels needs to step there game up in the premium Diecast world. All these castings lack so much.
I can't wait for this to get to local stores... Definitely getting all 5. I like the Golf a lot, but that might be because I like VW a lot.

It's a great set, I think some collectors are tired of gulf livery, the McLaren maybe impossible to fine in stores, one it's a McLaren and two the dark gulf tampos are different which makes the car even more desirable, in my opinion of course

At least the Golf has headlight and tail light decos but I think they should have done a Beetle...the Mc Lauren, Mustang, and Laurel will be hoarded....I wonder when it will hit the Target in my area because the Walmart kind of sucks....I never saw the Car Culture haulers in my area...the last car culture set was available but the Shelby Daytona was AWOL....which means it got hoarded before it hit the pegs or right after....you always give the best info...you are the one who said the crates go directly to the big lot retailers...this is a good time for peg hunting ...I just have to go early because other wise, I get flanked by parents buying fantasy casting heavy sets and tracks for their kids...but giving me dirty looks like I shouldn't be in that section or I am in their way....so I look through the pegs of the Mainline quickly and focus on the Premium models to see what I don't have and roll out..if you get a chance to visit my channel...watch my video and I will be posting more content soon!.

Great set John, but a new model that released in the set of exotics series and never seen before or in the past is the lamborghini centenario roadster and it is a big name for doesn't it and really great set of the year and merry christmas.

The McLaren is my favorite. Would love to see similar sets in the future with other "iconic" paint schemes, but too many of them are associated with tobacco or alcohol.
When are they going to do a Maritni, Rothmans, Castrol, etc?
They could do Brumos for all the Porsches, have a different Porsche car culture set dedicated to Brumos.
I love that F1 GTR... As for the whole set I am not that into it.. But I do love the GTR and Boss Mustang! I am a car culture completist though so I will definitely have the whole set.

Nice set. But I think Hot Wheels needs to come out with a Car Culture rally set. Need more Subarus to collect. Would also like to to see cars from the Group B rally era.

Bought the Laurel on line already I'll buy the McLaren if I can find it on the pegs or at a good price. the rest all are nice but I wont go out of my way to buy them unless off pegs. I do buy from Wheelcollectors when they have things I want and likely wouldn't have known about them without your channel.
Only buying two of them. Mclaren and boss.
Now they need to make a moon eyes set, or greddy set, or advan set for car culture.

An inspired choice instead of the VW Golf would would have been the Alf Romeo Montreal (1970-'77), although of course a new casting would have been needed. Maybe in a future Car Culture set?

I doubt it. I found this set today and only the Golf was missing.
Strangely, here in NZ the McLaren & Fiat are peg warmers & the Gulf Golf was second most popular after the Laurel.
@@johnnyutah6056 thats because the golf is 1 per case and thr mustang is 3 per case, which is why the golf is gone first.

Thank you, I've been waiting for these...I'm lukewarm on the Nissan and the Fiat, but I am on the lookout for the McLaren, love that one, and the Golf looks real nice, plus how can you not want that Mustang? Fiat might grow on me, but I don't like that the engine door is cast in the open position...never to close...
That is how they raced, to keep the engine cool.

they come for a period of 1-2 months then gone. sometimes @ the end of the years i do find that they sometimes bring out some of the old stuff from the beginning of the year so there is always hope
I found them all except the Golf MK7.
You knock the Golf but that is an impressive car in its R trim.

It's bothering me so much with how small the wheels are on the Nissan Laurel. Considering that the car is way bigger than the Fiat 500D Modificado.

The McLaren is absolute fire!!! Not my favorite style Mustang but the casting looks great. Going to pick that one up as well. I’ll pass on the others. Although the Laurel is nice. Just not sure I need a third
l was in Wal Mart yesterday and they had the Laurel, Mustang, and Fiat. l only had enough cash for one, so l got the Laurel.

Love the mclaren and bought the mclaren! the rest can warm the shelfs lol. I looked up the mclaren f1 gulf on youtube and wow is it ever a 1-1 match to the real car!!!!!!!
I am a Camaro fan so the mustang is a no go. I see a lot of cool mustangs so lucky I like camaros or I would be broke and have shelves full of mustangs.

I love metal bases. You didn't say the Mini GT - Mclaren Senna, had a metal base. Kind of , wish you had.
Good selections of cars for this set, but the Mustang Boss 302 and the Fiat 500 are my favorites. The VW Golf casting maybe be a questionable choice, but it looks x100 better than any mainline version will ever be. Definitely getting the whole set, as i'm big fan of Gulf livery. And i find it hard to beileve that Ford Transit Supervan is a peg-warmer, as it's actually my all-time favorite Gulf casting. Thanks for the Preview Lamley!

@@monsieurdiecasts3393 oh believe me i know how JDM has taken over the diecast world (been collecting over 20 years, heh). It's just the Laurel seems too out of place for this theme. 3 race cars, 1 cool pun (though there are rally Golfs I believe), and a "looks over performance" car. The series has been pretty good at sticking with a theme each mix, and then here the Laurel is just out of place.
