- Hi! If you read this, this was a recently uploaded ad or commercial from Audi, but for some weird reason they decided that they didn't want it live, obviously a lot of us did not think that and we loved the commercial LOL, so I decided to re-upload it so it gets to live on, so plenty more people can enjoy it!.

If some parts between minute 2 and minute 4 sound bad and muffled I'm testing a new CZcams feature that only mutes the copyrighted song and not the whole audio.
Do you think they got it copyrighted? I know they posted it
@@zacheryryan6533 it was the band of the song that had the copyright, now I'll have to see if Audi persé wants to copyright this since they deleted it.

I can't believe they even got Doug to be in the video. I guess there aren't any other blue RS2s in NA.
I mean, they would have flown in the R18 and all the rally cars from wherever they were being stored, right? they probably just actually wanted Doug and his RS2

@@apakslactually no. all the old cars and IMSA, S1 and R18 are filmed in Germany. Specifically 4:33 - 4:56, 5:23 - 6:22 (even the roundabout - you can see german type of houses and church tower)
What a wonderful, fun, enjoyable film. People, kids, adults having fun together. It doesn't get any better than this.
It felt like a Sunday movie and I didn't want it to end.

I wonder if he'll use that introduction as a catchphrase? I bet that'd be a funny cold open if he used it for every car.
He could even score each one of them and track the scores in an excel spreadsheet somewhere.
It's actually a very good commercial. Having the focus not being on the car makes me notice features I would have ignored normally. It's like how the newer Italian Job movie made minis look so cool by featuring them doing and being part of cool things.
They probably saw Doug's Audi Allroad video after this was released

It is such a shame that Audi USA was forced to delete this commercial.
Unlike Mercedes and BMW, Audi gave us a wholesome and positive message that we can all learn in life: Enjoying the moment. That's why we see these people, kids and adults, happily playing with water balloons together.
Why on earth would they take this down? It's great.

Actually, germans do like fun, even if it is a bit bizarre (which this absolutely is). You can sort of see why though. This almost-short-film has little meaning and is all over the place. Well, at least it's fun and car commercials are usually beyond dull so this is a nice change of pace. Anyway, it is, according to the rumors, most likely just Audi of America arguing with Audi AG and they had to take it down.
I can actually see why they have, Audi is s luxury brand and I don't think all the details of the cars come off very luxury, it all looks very ordinary, you just wouldn't do stuff like that with those cars that cost so much...it does appear to cheapen the value a bit in my opinion. However it does look fun but this sort of fun just doesn't seem right for the Audi brand. I get it
@@suicidallooneypro I understand what you mean and Audi AG definitely thought the same but the problem is (not just with Audi but all german brands) that they are so obsessed with being serious and doing everything else at the same time.
They want to be fun and appeal to younger buyers but then are too greedy and afraid to disturb their business customers and high-end market that in the end they just lock themselves into the dullest corner where no one cares. This commercial and it's existence (or lack of now) is a prime example of that.

The Quattro is one of the most important cars in rally history because of it actually showing how good awd is for rally driving

Why did Audi remove this from CZcams?? It's such a good commercial especially since summer is coming to a close.
The Audi bosses didn't like how it portrayed Audi and didn't understand the point of the commercial, that's what I've heard.

I would assume German song for German brand. Also I guess water balloons aren't that far fetched from normal balloons (Luftballons literally translated is air balloons) so it fits the general theme

Yea this definitely doesn't make any sense. I just feel like someone at Audi just wanted to get the best cars currently produced and the best legacy vehicles in to one ad and this was the best way for them to do that
Judging by what you drive I wouldn’t expect you to get it.
I can see why they pulled the commercial. Probably sounded great as a concept but the whole water balloons and look for the trees part was really awkward. It could probably be salvaged with enough work. That whole narration script was overly wordy and made very little sense.
Agree, kinda ironic that an ad talking about focus and being the moment was so all over the place. A bit of a pity because I like the main message (or at least what I guess the message is)

I hope that Doug DeMuro got paid for this, and seeing the various Auto Union component cars was neat. The choice of Nena's 99 Luftballons is a bit off, given that it alludes to a civilization-ending conflict, which is maybe a bit above the knuckle. But the voiceover is a word salad of inanities. Did someone write something rational in German and then use Google translate through several languages to end up with the final text in English?
