How long does the coronavirus last inside the body
The novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, is the virus responsible for causing the illness COVID-19. Most people who develop COVID-19 symptoms improve without treatment in 2-6 weeksTrusted Source. However, this does not necessarily reflect how long the virus itself remains active in the body.

Both me and my partner tested positive for covid. It totally floored me, I couldn't get out of bed for 3 days! I am now into my 8th day but only 4th day from a positive test result. I am tired all the time, loss of appetite (not eaten in over a week) food smells vile and that includes my favorites. Water tastes funny and headaches are torture. Fully recovered now. I've never stopped wearing my mask when out and I'm super cautious around ppl who don't wear them. No one can enter my home without them.

Now have Covid at age 61. Day 10 still have lots of fatigue, nausea, dry cough occasionally. I will stay up to date on vaccines and wear a mask in public for the rest of my life. Same I'm 36 and healthy on day 7 now Sore throat to the point what you can't swallow and and a lot of fatigue and weakness feeling faint on day 7 I feel some small improvements heard it can take 2 weeks or so with healthy people our age. I know it's horrible hang in there it shall pass.

I had a mild case and am 2 months out from infection and still feel sick. Long covid needs to be looked into more closely and there needs to be a cure/treatment for this. I am an otherwise healthy 24 year old male. I am in a Facebook group of 166,000 all people suffering from long covid symptoms. This is a serious condition that needs to be researched very heavily because so many people are suffering. The amount of stories I’m reading from people still suffering is heart breaking and I’m one of them now.

i am really desperate for info have been bed almost 6 months with every symptoms imaginable, has anyone had lungs burn hurt all teh tome back but nothing shows on ct scan of blood test? i also have painful rash that going up lungs to neck and now head and lesion on head, does anyone have this after test say nothing? i would grateful the doctor here useless here in canada because public health care, they lie constantly and this has gone for in process of lawsuits, i am fearful for my life after covid. at this point

I’ve just become sick with the COVID 19 and honestly this isn’t the worse cold I’ve ever had like Yh I feel achy and blocked nose but I still feel normal I am on my 4th day of isolation and honestly this is the easiest cold I’ve ever survived
I am nine months pregnant and tested positive on wednesday,day fifth of isolation....all the symptoms i had was laughable....i am just worried thinking about giving birth...what if ut wants to come out before my isolation is over
It affects older people more severely. Mainly due to the fact that white blood cells are produced a lot less as you age . This allows the virus time to get deep into the lungs and organs and cause havoc . Hope this helps . Its usually but not always easier for a younger person to get over it quicker.
