- I made this funeral tribute to commemorate the combined 13 years of dedicated police work Sergeant Sam Howard and Officer Matthew Baxter had. They were both shot on August 18 after responding to a shots fired call. Officer Baxter passed on August 18, followed by Sam Howard the following day
They will be forever missed and the impact they made on their community will forever be remembered.
Note: I am in no way affiliated with the Kissimmee, FL police department. This video was made by myself with the purpose of showing the true impact a loss of 2 law enforcement personell have on the community.
Song: "Don't Let Me Down" by Joy Williams - Krátké a kreslené filmy
“Rest easy gentlemen we have the watch from here”... that broke me down.. paradise also needs guardians.
I can do that too, hold my gun Yeah I know right.
Yup
Louis Johnson Is that really what they do? So they smell drugs or see something illegal in the car or have PC to search the cops shouldn’t? They should just let the person go? You know if you get something stolen, the person was pulled over for some other reason and they see that item, I guess that person won’t go to jail and you won’t get your item back since they can’t search or jail anyone now based on what you said.
Louis Johnson They serve and protect and if someone is breaking the law they will put that person in jail if the don’t have officers discretion. Cops don’t make the laws, they enforce them.
Louis Johnson I can see what your saying. But again police enforce the law, not make them. They can’t just let someone go if they have a lot of weed on them. It’s not just weed, it’s other drugs too. They can kill people. If someone has a little bit of weed on them most officers will let them go with just a ticket. If you have a lot, it’s another story. You also have to be truthful with them. Trust goes a long way and is better for you. When officers arrest people for drugs, gangs aren’t coming for you. It’s not like the movies. If it was a cartel or something, that’s for the feds. Most people that get arrested are just crackheads or people that just want to get high. If officers do smell drugs coming from the car, that’s enough PC to pull you out, detain you and search the vehicle. Drugs are a problem, and illegal in a lot of countries. If people are going to break then law, do it at home. Drug dealing is illegal and dangerous. The drugs can kill people. They want money, do it the legal way.
You can hear the pain in the responders voice as she makes the 10-7 call
Lamar LovesFreedom I couldn't imagine having to make that call.
Me to I am a poilce officer and one of my officers was killed in the line of duty God bless him
"Watch easy gentlemen, we have the watch from here"
“The rest easy gentlemen we have the watch from here” sent chills up my spine.
How can you hate on cops? They leave their family to protect yours. You run away they run towards. Rest easy.
J_Hershy37 because people think it’s cool to hate them. people are garbage.
DareHershy_ bullshit! They're all POS!
Steven Freeman no your garbage just like them. Cops are murderers. They are hated for a reason.
@@noneofyourbusiness1863 They gave their lives to protect yours, isn't it enough?
None Of Your Business in a road traffic accident you are the first to call them
Home invasion you will be calling 911/999/112 faster than kapernick takes a knee

spydergs07 Thank you for your service, I know it's hard making the same risk as a full time officer and you do it for not a single paycheck in return, but to protect people with honor... Thank you, Officer.

Doug Biden what the hell, you think that’s ok to post here?
Dad was a sergeant for the San Diego police department. Proud to be his daughter, proud to follow in his footsteps. :)
That dispacher would have a terrible day to call in 2 KIA's
Ya
Yes
I'm a dispatcher and I've had to do this. It's really the worst a distpatcher can do it's so emotional
That is a same bad and sad part of that job than standing on a door, and tell the husband of a Paramedic that his wife wouldn't come home anymore, because a 21 years old guy stabbed her while she tried to save a life.
That I had to do in my very first month as Commander of that EMS Station.
The worst was as I rang on the bell on the door her 6 years old daughter responded loudly yelling: Mommy is back home.
After that I needed two Minutes to tell her husband what happened.
Amd when I read here what some sick people write about officers down it makes me sad, that they can't get punished for that shit.
Johnny McFarlane
I truly do not know how y’all can do your job. The things you hear and the pleas for help while help is on the way but you can do nothing but try to help and keep them calm.
Glad we have people like you doing this difficult job. I would not be able to.
RIH friend and classmate Sam. You will be truly missed. RIP officer Baxter. Thank you fir your service and love to our community. For those posting bad comments knowing Sam personally growing up he was a great man who truly cared fir people and his community. He died trying to protect the life of the very man who killed him. There is not one thing you can say bad about Sgt. Howard. Respect our officers their families. Please keep negative comments to yourself. RIH.
End of watch.
Rest in peace Sergeant and Officer.
Rest in peace, may your legacy live on and echo into eternity. Thank you for your service to this country.

Listening to the 10-7 calls really hit me
I don't live in America but police everywhere work hard and this is enough to send tears
Officer Howard & officer Baxter were two good cops I've met R.i.p
I’m sitting here crying like a baby....my heart aches for these families now in 2020. I am grateful and so thankful for these men and their service. I am sure they are greatly missed. This takes me back to fall 2008, when a fellow church member, good friend, wonderful Christian man was taken from this life much too soon. Although it happened while not on duty, the loss, the pain, the grief was still just as real and an entire community mourned. We went to a Church that would “comfortably”seat appx 450. The auditorium was packed like a can of sardines.....the choir loft filled with emergency services workers, chairs lined the aisles and the back walls, people were standing, there was overflow in the vestibule. Closed circuit tv was set up in the Church gym for as many that could fit.....it was estimated there were around 1000 in attendance. At the grave side, mounted police, the K-9 officers & their partners, an empty police cruiser where we heard the final call, and living in SC there was a low flyover of a SLED helicopter. (South Carolina Law Enforcement Division). Just like I saw here, people standing along the roadside every where. Fire engines blocking intersections and paying tribute, SC Highway Patrol too. Never have I ever been to a funeral with such emotional, heartfelt, outpouring of love and respect.
As our brothers are laid to rest, I do not say they have fallen, they have simply risen up higher than us. God bless our fallen Officers, everything they do, and everything they stand for.
All my respect to this two police officers....a biiig hug from Spain....
You may be gone Baxter and Howard but when you will never be forgotten as a human being and a Guardian Angel we will always try to keep your legacies going on to help each other rest in peace my brothers.
May God Bless their families and department of brothers and sisters. I didn't know either of your men of courage, from a brother in blue I bid you blessings and Gods favor upon you.
What a beautiful tribute video RIP Sam Howard & Matthew Baxter. Thank you for your service :(
Rest in peace my fallen but not forgotten brothers.
Very touching...There was one officer who led a horse with saddle in front of a coffin- was one of the fallen officers a mounty? RIP you two ,who gave your lives for our savety.
I have always respected Law Enforcement when I grew up and I been working on trying to go to college to become one. God bless the ones who made so much sacrifices
Its sad that i know exactly where this happened. Thats were i grew up and i even recognize some of those officers. They are part of a very dangerous area. They all know what they are risking, but those fallen officers know it. They do it of pure courage. As a depressed man,i know what its like. Im 19 and my dad died in this department. Much respect to these brave men and women❤❤❤
....A whole year later...Hope friends still remember them...Respect for dedicated job boys...A cop from East Europe salutes You!
“Rest easy gentlemen, we have the watch from here” oh that got me good! Currently I’m in the process with a police department and am honored to be progressing well!
Sgt Howard EOW: August 19, 2017
Officer Baxter EOW: August 18, 2017
God bless any active law enforcement agents or military service men they put there lives on the line day in day out for us they don't deserve to get shot at or killed or called names they need to be Respected Because they are heros
You know what gets me is that we “hate” and “discriminate” against police until the very moment when we need them the most my prayers are with the families of these strong men and my respect to all police departments!
I must’ve watched this video a million times. Well done 😭 be safe out there guys and girls🔵⚫️🔵 Hold that line
Beautiful video. What I loved the most and thought was the most beautiful part about all of this sad occasion is one thing. The one thing is people of all different races, ethnicities, and nationalities coming together as a community, state and nation to honor two more fallen American heroes. This is the America I know and love. Sending love and support from a cousin to a state trooper up here in PA. RIP Sergeant Sam Howard and Officer Matthew Baxter. #BlueLivesMatter #ThinBlueLineNeverBroken

I'm an officer in the UK and was on holiday in Kissimmee when this tragedy happened. My wife and I attended the evening event in Kissimmee shortly after. I purchased and still ware with pride a white Kissimmee PD t-shirt and paid my respects, but some how I felt as though I was intruding in some way.... Rest in peace gentlemen, respect to all US officers from a humble UK cop.
I’ll be forever grateful for all first responders
Although Im not an officer, and i am not from Kissimmee, or the United States, and I never met them, i hope these two brave men rest easy, you will be missed by those who knew you, thank you for what you have done for your community

From Europ my deepest respect for these officers!!!R.I.P.
I found this song like a day after my overdose. Which then made it a lot more emotional for me. Super relatable. Great song tho. Rock on.
May these heroes enter the realm of paradise because that's what they deserve...may then rest in peace and may the brave follow them through inspiration
My thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to the family. co-workers and friends of these fallen officers!
You did a superb job paying trebute to these men who embodied the thin blue line. EOW calls always break me down. Thank you for doing this tribute. RIP Sheep dogs.
Couldn't help but tear up. So much respect to those who have put their lives on the line and still do everyday🙏
I cant wait to graduate to move to America to be a police officer like these brave men,the bravest 🇮🇪🇺🇸💔
These men did not apply for a job. The chose a lifetime of helping, protecting, listening, being there for others. They have seen horrors no one ever should. They try to keep a whole nation fair and just. They sleep with nightmares and wake with hope and meaning. Not every cop is like we all like to picture. Not every neighbour is who you think they are. But we are all human I wish things could change. And the hate and relevant items in are lives vansh But untill that day comes We have these brave men willing to help us live in normal life at the cost of there own..Greetings from Canada and Thank you
I don't mean to be a dick, but you do need to apply to join any police department.
You do need to apply but when you apply it’s your life now and you’ll have nightmares they do it for us they do it for everyone god bless men and women in blue
The 589th comment, Rest In Peace Sergeant Sam Howard. Kissimmee has not forgotten you. The new generation of Police will grow to honor you. Rest In Peace Officer Baxter, we have not forgotten you either. You memories live on in the future generation, much love from the community.

I watch these videos to remind myself I’m still human. To remind myself that it’s okay to feel heartbreak for people who have lost their lives. That it is okay to love those others hate

That was an amazing video. May he Rest In Peace.
when she said rest easy gentlemen we have got the watch from here slightly upset me no matter what country it is all police officers have one thing in common which is they risk their lives to protect their country every day that they put on their uniform and go to work what a lot of people cant see is that behind every uniform is a person who has a family of their own as well as friends and the only crime that these very brave people are committing is doing the job that they love may not only these two very brave people rest in perfect eternal peace but also may all the other officers all around the world who have lost their lives doing the job that they loved rest in perfect eternal peace as well xxxx
